those M7As sound like they're going down the LIRR Main Line with all that squeaking.!!! i love the M7As.! the view of the Tappan Zee is just incredible. i have yet to drive over it unfortunately. i would love to catch some action up there.!!! beautiful video.!!!
Your videos are so packed with history and other very interesting information that makes the watching pleasure that much enjoyable. Bravo to you Sir! Now I regret not having explored my former home state more and particularly the regions just north of NYC like Scarborough, Tarrytown, Briarcliff Manor etc. We probably wouldn't have moved to Florida in 1987 and stayed in NY State to raise our son instead. I appreciate your work of art via these well narrated beautifully shot videos. BRAVO!!
Another great video! You inspired me to go to Cold Spring with one of your videos--tried the restaurant adjacent to the station. I'll be exploring more stations/areas based on your suggestions!
Just finished watching the entire video, and boy was it amazing! From start to finish was excellent. Like that you started recording in Grand Central Terminal. Brought back fond memories. Love the watery scenery of Scarborough station! And what a gorgeous day for railfanning and sight seeing. You captured a lot of wonderful shots here. One of my favorite shots was at 37:01 that sky was breathtaking. I bet it looked even better in person. The train action was also amazing. Can't get enough of Metro-North's M3As. Such beautiful cars in their majestic blue color scheme. And at the time frames of 11:41, 12:0736:11, 36:29 were M7A echos. Last thing I'd like to say is that I also enjoyed the little bits of singing you did. You really do sound a lot like Jerry Orbach, even your singing voice is similar. Lol.
@@3985uprr I'm a bit of a fan of his, so I know some things about him. Before becoming a big actor, he started on Broadway. That's how I found out about his singing.
For a second there I thought this was referring to Scarborough in the city of Toronto. I didn't know there is a place in America called Scarborough. We certainly don't have trains like this in Toronto.
Only thing missing from Scarborough Station is a nice hammock! What could be better than listening to the sounds of the Hudson and passing trains while swaying in a gentle breeze.
Awesome Amtrak & Metro North catches P32 push pull trains over anything all day plus we now have two AM Wassaic Directs from Wassaic & two PM Wassaic Directs to Wassaic & four AM & PM Danbury Branch Directs to and from Danbury.
Damn right about Cold Spring being a perfect sorta place. I went to do my thesis film out at Little Stony Point - and damn, that was a beautiful place to watch the trains go by.
Nice catch. The LIRR M3 cars were captured by WWOT on CSX Q367 in Dunkirk NY a few days ago. The view is scenic. Although, I'm worried about flooding risks.
Very nice video. Trains are wrong railing due to track damage north of Yonkers. Certainly a good time to see M3As, I’ve been seeing them in service a lot more. I’d recommend railfanning Peekskill NY for a lot more Horn action
The tracks are all signaled in both directions. No such term as wrong railing on the railroad and certainly doesn’t exist at MNR since the tracks are signaled in both direction and therefore can't be wrong railing
I was told because of the track work they were doing they put out those long gang planks at certain stations and they didn’t want rush-hour trains to stop at those gang plank‘s because there’s only a few. So the way around that is to run wrong main during the evening but the morning rush-hour they were normally because the Riverside platforms are on that side
Interestingly how the American pronounce this place Scarboro, when the actual song title is "Are You Going to Scarborough Fair" but then again what do you expect from a country who still uses the 19th century metric system of Pounds & Miles, along with America Junior (Canada) and the UK. whereas most other countries in the world are up with the 21st century with Kilograms & Kilometres

Now that a lot of action! Nice catches! Scarborough is definitely my favorite spot on the Hudson line if not my favorite in all of MNR territory
Scarborough has the best scenery out of the entire Hudson Line
Wow its so pretty there. What a great spot to watch trains and be by the water!
Nice video. I rode this line many years ago Peekskill to GCT. RDC Peekskill to Croton/Harmon, MU to GCT.
😀

I don’t think Jerry Orrbach sings

Gorgeous location, awesome rail fanning. Thanks.
You’d love Manitou station! Been fanning there lately. It’s awesome.
You are really getting around my friend! Always good to see you and your videos...and you can sing all you want! :)

I am aware of your Scarborough on go transit east of the city

Great video once again, Tim! Can’t wait to hopefully meet you in person one day and railfan many great spots!!

Agree about Peekskill and even if there not stopping ( Amtraks) , having to slow down for the curve gives a longer field of view

Glad you got 706 and it may be your last in its Phase V paint. Idk when it's scheduled for repaint to PhIII, maybe before the year comes to an end
also sorry for double comment, but i would like to mention how easy it'll be to go from LIRR to Metro North when the East Side Access is done.!!!!
Hopefully they will have joint Long Island Rail Road /Metro North ticketing.
Had anyone noticed that the outbound express track does not have third rail ? !
Good video along a scenic stretch of the Hudson, and to many of us itl always be the New Tappan Zee - Never a Cuomo bridge
My old station . Still a beautiful view.
Listen to those Genny’s in Electric ⚡️ Mode, music 🎶 to my ears 👂 !!!
Awesome scenery!

I can’t turn my back on you
Metro North equipment is kept very clean.
Good job , Nice video! But the old Tappan Zee was more beautiful!
awesome catch
I never understood why metro north does this with trains running north on south tracks

I know it's matter of some debate, but push-pull makes me uneasy, especially with long trains. Your thoughts?
I feel uneasy being pushed at 125 miles an hour
Oh man. I wish I was retired, so I can Railfan all day long
Great video, keep them coming. SUBBED YA
Can you railfan Atlantic City line
Grand Central Station is a post office
