Cool stuff Tim!!!!!! That day I went to Stamford CT and rode the Kawasaki M8s. Just outside of Harlem 125th street I saw 208 the beach ball heritage unit shove its train to Grand Central Terminal!!!!! I’ve seen 201 a couple times as well. And I often railfan the Hudson line of Metro North as well!!!! It’s a very scenic line. Glad you had a lovely day, I enjoyed myself in Stamford CT as well.
A friend and i traveled from Peekskill to GCT many years ago. Rail diesel cars Peekskill to Croton/Harmon; old mu cars to GCT. Thanks Tim for the memories.💚😀
I wish that Metro North would paint a p32acdm in the original blue stripe scheme that they had in the 90s and early 2000s (just like how I wish Amtrak would paint a p42 in the original phase III scheme the p40s' had when they were first put into service)
Get that damn PC logo off the 230! It spoils that handsome McGinnis livery, and brings back bad memories from the PC takeover of the NH. Love the Conrail heritage unit and the Beach Ball P32. Great day, excellent video, as always!
I met paul before years ago, glad hes still working again and i was on the NH line the time this was taken if i knew paul was working and the HU's were out on their i would had went to yonkers, lol cool video
Great video! Like to railfan the Hudson Line a lot and have seen both 201 and 208. Really excited for the next MNRR heritage and I wonder which the next one to be!
Heritage units are my favorites as well because back in the 1990s my late dad took a photo picture of me in front of a FP40-2 which was a conrail symbol and also that I love that picture and one of these days I'll have to find those pictures of my dad taking me the pics in Elizabeth New Jersey yard and I love heritage units just like you do when you take video shots of heritage units again next time think about me Robert one of your friends who is a subscriber on your yourtube page the Conrail paint scheme I love that one because it reminded me of my late dad the 201 and the 208 locomotives as well very fresh paint in my opinion with the NH locomotives as well that I"LL like to take a You tube video of myself on there when I come to New York for my first video to dedicate it to my late dad. An interesting follow-up, unless you've done it, would be to do a video (with the help of one or more of the various providers if you can get it from them, LIRR, Metro North, et al) on how third-rail electric trains work. Am I correct in that both over-running and under-running systems are in use in the region?
Yes they are. The intricacies of electronics are not my thing so you are asking the wrong person. If I mention something about electronics, chances are I don’t know what I’m talking about. I can only discuss what I observe or stories I hear about it.
hello tim, i was riding 49, and was wondering if i was able to use the clip of 49 in my video of the trip. would you be ok with that, or would you rather me not?
I’m a fan of the M3’s. Classic look with solid lines. Too bad they are becoming so rare.
I love Metro-North
I guess ghost engineers was off. Cool seeing Conductor Paul! I saw him once back in April when I was doing some photography of trains for my college

The P32’s have a great sounding exhaust note. Thanks.
Fantastic as always.
Nice to see conductor Paul.

I was there too! Nice video!
Another great job, Tim!

How bout those giant apple tarts at the Tarrytown (depot) Bakehouse! A must for the hungry railfan! My treat if we ever meet there Tim.
I’m not crazy about those to be honest. Don’t waste your money 😀😀

Sometimes in your videos it takes me a minute to orient myself - like, wait, which way is north again? I don't have that problem on the Hudson Line!
Small Nickname I gave to the current set the Beach Ball set is assigned with is the Maria Mitchell Comet Set or as I like to call it Beach Comet set.
Nice livery on the 208, the Conrail, yuk
To each his own
@@3985uprr indeed, it would be a boring world if we're all the same 😉

They should have the M3s and the others painted green instead of blue. I get confused a lot thinking it's the Harlem Line.
25:57 my friend was on that train, 49
Nice catches what station in New York is your favorite to go to
Scarborough ranks up three
I don't see anything wrong with NH 230 that Penn Central decal looks good to me Tim
I prefer a whole painted engine. No decals.
@@3985uprr but it looks pretty with it lol

It wasn’t a great shot. The train surprised me but go ahead. Show me the finished product with my credit please
@@3985uprr thanks! yeah you obviously will have the credit, the video should be uploading on saturday night and it is about 2 minutes into the video
watching at 666 views on this glorious Friday
Is it just me or was this shot in 360p? Great video as always though! And conductor Paul is a legend 😂
Give it a little time. it will adjust
@@3985uprrokay, I'll give it some time. I hope it doesn't hurt your average view duration though
