I agree with you 100% on the duralast ratcheting wrenches. Been using them everyday day for years and never had an issue. I can not speak on their newer WR as they have changed their supplier but the older Duralast WR are a my favorite even over the tool truck brands I've used. Cheap, smooth and strong.

A Snap On rep refused to honor a warranty for my boss. He has so many Snap On tools and tool boxes he doesn't need any more. So the Snap On rep won't warranty his tools because he isn't buying enough. The Snap On guy set up in the parking lot to sell tools to all the neighboring shops because it's the only local parking lot with room for his truck. The boss told him to leave NOW or he'd have the tow company next door remove the truck.
Now them Duralast wrenches I will agree with you on I have the 8,10,11,12,13,14,15, and 18 and I love the hell out of them, the hammer's I have two by Cornwell and love them to can't afford to buy off the snap- on truck so I go to pawn shop and get my snap-on.
I buy almost all of my Snap-on off of Ebay and from Pawnshops.Guy on the truck hates it. People sell brand new sets cheap. Check out Trustycook hammers. They make the hammers from Snap-on and you can get a set of 3 for the price of one off of the truck.

You have millions of choices at the push of a finger. Can also have access to many deals. All of my snapon stuff has been purchased second hand in like new condition, and at 1/2 cost or better. If you shop around you can find some really really good deals.
Now that I have adult money, I grab the occasional Snap On item though I’m only a hobbyist. That said, and something I don’t have yet, is LINE WRENCHES. Proto is a close 2nd there but Snap On is second to none on those. Their sockets are also the best bar none, but 95% of the time, you’d never notice the difference. The tough thing with “overpriced” is people complain about jobs going overseas but don’t want to pay what it costs for US made stuff. My advice though, as someone who has worked in industry for most of his adult life, Spend your money wisely. I’m not as impressed with Gearwrench as I once was BUT, their Taiwan stuff is solid. Screwdrivers, I tend to lean towards Wiha but we used a LOT of Wiha in machining. Especially for Torx screws. Little tiny things that people would WAY over torque into inserts.

I really like the snap-on tools everything I get from Matco is foreign made and is always less quality than I'd like especially for the price. But snapon man the ratchets awesome. I got two Philips but 3/8 sockets work wonderfully. I just keep getting more and more cuz the quality is there but at the same time they are moving away from US for somethings but even when the quality is lower the utility is so much better. For instance I have a harbor freight trim tool sucks at getting the plastic clips out got the snap on one and it's popping them out in half the time like that's such an improvement than what I was doing before.
Personally I like to snatch off the button. Ones are good but in tight places. If you get the bolt back too far and you're up against the wall and you can't press button to release the socket, it's a pain in the ass. So you know if you're getting in a tight spot either pulled the ratchet and wrench set or a non-locking ratchet?
I've been industrial mechanic on marine equipment for 16 years don't own any tool truck B.S. I buy anything gearwrench Milwaukee Pittsburgh & especially tekton their warranty is unbeatable
Nothing wrong with that quick release. I love that my Snap on FLF80 really grabs on to those sockets, but it can be tough to remove those sockets when hands are even a little greasy. The Snap On with the quick release is in my future.

Snap-On actually has a flashlight with the lifetime warranty on it right now its kind of high price but you can't beat the lifetime if u have a snap-on truck guy, I have bought a whole bunch of lights that always break so I have to say with the lifetime to me its worth it.
The Craftsman double box wrench set made in USA are resealing on eBay for 800$ original price 100$ and the Craftsman professional black and red with gold letters 25 pc set resale for 800$ u know they look like the snap on ones but Craftsman made them first and if u find a snap on tool that resale for more the original price 😂 the snap on dealer makes sure u can resale for half the original price 😢
Professional auto tech here- my opinion, don't buy snap on if you are a diy guy. So, that said, when I got started I bought craftsman tools on sale and used where I could get them, tools I used for years and years, most I'm still using, however, the ones that broke or wear out, I replaced with snap on. Also, any specialty tool or puller or installer or something as important as a torque wrench, go with snap on. Imagine destroying a part with a cheap puller from HF, yes it's happened) Snap on also recalibrates the torque wrenches free over the years digital and click type) and if a snap on tool breaks and you need it now, my truck will come to my shop and replace right that day. Digital torque wrench is a bmw vs a Toyota they both get the job done but the click type is the way to go, no battery no electronic crap to fail. If you can't keep track of an angle use angle attachment. Just my opinion.
I ground two flat spots on my craftsman screw drivers and use a wrench or crescent wrench on em and works great wen i need xtra turning power, 30 plus yrs of turning wrenches u find ways of using ur tools in different ways bro

I have a lot of snap on. if i could go back in time i would have never bought hammers, sockets, wrenches, ratchets, etc. Yes there sockets and wrenches (in my opinion) have a tighter fit to the nut or bolt but is something so small worth that big of a price? i dont think so myself but if someone needs a torque wrench, micrometer, dial caliper, or any other specialty tool i would recommend going with MAC or Snap On tools. Also i like your videos and channel. keep up the good work.
I think TQ wrenches have to be SO. You definitely don't want to cheap out on critical shit like a TQ wrench. And check it regularly! I take my TQ wrenches out to the truck at least once a year. If they don't pass, send them out to be rebuilt. And those lugnut TQ sticks that you put on your air gun, I check those monthly. Had too many problems with them

I just recently last month bought a 22-piece screwdriver set, a 15 inch tool bag, an SAE 14-piece combination wrench set, and a metric 14-piece combination wrench set from Harbor Freight. These tools have a sturdy, sold feel and have quite a bit of heft to them. You can feel the quality simply by holding the wrenches.
Agree with you on snappy tools. Ratchets are superb, screwdrivers are superb but I bought the williams set which the old style snappy textured hard handle as love those things . Toptul drive thru another nice screwdriver option for auto work. Always been surprised how poor snappy ratchet wrenches been, my favourite is Facom reversible ratchet wrenches and they not too pricey in sets . Indeed electrical tools big waste of money with snapon . I do like snappy line wrenches and find their UJ chrome sockets good too. Toolboxes are good but I only buy um used if come across a good deal, I like the older matco boxes myself like the 7525 and they a potential steal used .
Snap on is good only for the specialty tools u need in some automotive aplications. Other than that other tool companys r jst as good for everything else
Another great video!! I couldn't agree with your list more. Best ratchet I own is a 3/8 strap-on. It was my grampas, handed down to me. No idea how old it is. My second best ratchet is a SK 3/8, probably just as old as the strap-on. The sockets in that SK set were pure crap. Every one of them cracked. I also got Proto allen socket set 1/2 drive, Armstrong wrenches and Bonney sockets and wrenches and some Wizard (western auto brand), Tru-Fit, Lectrolite, Vechek, (all angle box wrenches, made between 1930s-1940s), PowerKraft (Montgomery Wards brand) and Williams stuff, and get this...Channellock ratchet wrenches!! not those stamped steel ones, the chrome ones, super smooth and tight tooth count, and proven very durable, that I got from him as well. Very honored to own these tools. I will pass these on to my son and I use my Crapsman and Tekton and Horrible Frought every day, which all hold up just fine so far They are out of their fool minds what they are asking for that torque wrench. If you want the quality, put a lean againdt the house and get one lol

It's hard to buy snap on or other big name tool brands to come to your job with the truck. The tools are overpriced and overrated. My favorite snap on tools I own and use every day are my flank drive wrenches and swivel head ratchets. Other tool brands including tools made outside the us are almost as good if not better for a fraction of the price. Some things with snap on I hate like my screwdriver set. Marco and other took brands replace the entire screwdriver but snap on are such cheap fucks they replace only the shaft or the handle. My $120 swivel head ratchet if the handle cracks and they deny warranty it's like $25 to replace the handle. I like my snap on tools but I'm not gonna buy anymore. Warranty sucks too, if they don't have a replacement tool you have to wait weeks. Other took brands will Express ship you a replacement and get it within the week.

I paid a Premium for my Galaxy Note 8, I paid Inflated prices for my snap-on tools. Meaning of inflated prices or cost is making a product seem better or more important then it is or setting prices higher then what most people think is reasonable, Look it up, smart guy! There's a Big difference!

It's hard to buy snap on or other big name tool brands to come to your job with the truck. The tools are overpriced and overrated. My favorite snap on tools I own and use every day are my flank drive wrenches and swivel head ratchets. Other tool brands including tools made outside the us are almost as good if not better for a fraction of the price. Some things with snap on I hate like my screwdriver set. Marco and other took brands replace the entire screwdriver but snap on are such cheap fucks they replace only the shaft or the handle. My $120 swivel head ratchet if the handle cracks and they deny warranty it's like $25 to replace the handle. I like my snap on tools but I'm not gonna buy anymore. Warranty sucks too, if they don't have a replacement tool you have to wait weeks. Other took brands will Express ship you a replacement and get it within the week.
Philip Tye I definitely don't disagree with you on the price, Snap-on certainly is expensive and their tools are not necessarily needed to accomplish the same task. the majority of my tools are not Snap-on!
Only thing I saw there worth the $ vs performance was the dead blow.
