I don’t speak for every sludge metal band but this is usually what’s desired in Nola culture and most sludge bands. They don’t want to be big, but they want to be known and respected. Fame isn’t much of a desire for anyone who’s main focus is ONLY to make good music. This is what makes this music so beautiful, you find them and you feel lucky. It’s a perfect balance between a known and unknown band. This balance makes the music feel serene
@@acidbatharchiveyeah, they have Seems like you had a bit of a hand in that Pretty cool/crazy you started this channel & it took off for you & Acid bath (& all related folks) 4 years ago who’d have guessed Acid Bath would be reuniting for first show in 27 years Wild! This song was suggested to me by spotify after I was looking up a tool song. I am obsessed with this song, it hasn't gotten out of my head since I first listened to it a week ago, which leads me to making this comment. Was looking up the song on youtube, saw you also had Omaha in the title. I'm from Omaha, although I was only 2 years old when this was performed...
I found this just digging through artist deemed “similar” to Tool earlier today. Have probably listened to it 10 times already. So damn good. Every aspect of the song
Daxx Riggs in parts of his vocals feels like the precursor to Serg Tankian. The hollow beautiful vocals lulling you into safety before being thrown head first into the crusher! Amazing band and absolutely contributes to my musical identity with every listen. Finger paintings and Jezebel are absolutely insane. Bach would be proud IMO!
I was listening to the band Darkeed and they have a track called "A Charm for Sound Sleeping" that has some similar vibes to this song. both songs were released in 1994 as well.
Y’all was supposed to play Fresno California in 96 with a band called Ruin opening but on the way to California the van broke down and y’all headed home after it fixed don’t blame ya but damn wish I could of
That’s Mike on the left, Sammy on the right, Jimmy on the drums and obviously Dax singing. I’m not sure why they would’ve left Audie out of the video especially on this song.

What's up with the Sammy and Mike jams?
@@marcolbymarks as far as I know is that we gonna have to wait a couple months and they should have new music….
As far as I know we have their label to blame
acid bath should’ve been way bigger. a very important name to metal but in a way still very underrated
Greatest metal band ever in my opinion. Nobody was as poetic as far as I'n concerned.
Amen
Luckily they 6:48 captured both albums beautifully and Audie is still the only one we've lost. Kudos to Sammy for creating this channel

I found this digging through the old internet back in the day. 😏
Give Venus Blue by them a try
You were looking for trash and found gold
Been listening to it since 2007? Heads up it takes many many years for it to get out of your head but it never really leaves. And I’m ok with that
Since 1996 I have been haunted by this song. Thanks👍
Audie had so much talent, and so much more music to create. RIP.
My dad was at this show! 4 years before I was born
his voice is so beautiful, quite literally one of the best voices in music ever imo

My favorite song as a little kid
I just watched 3 acid bath videos and all 3 sounded so much like stainds first album tormented, so raw
