Well to be fair it was fairly easy back then to have a unique sound when there were like 10 bands, it's really mostly thanks to them just being the first to do any of it. Nowadays there's 50 000 black metal bands on metal archives, it's hard to find a truly original and unique sound in such a sea of competition.

I transitioned into metal because I got bored and had to listen to something else. Now it has been time since I have taken a taste into metal. But , when I discovered this album. It blew me away!! I listen to Storm Of The Light's Bane since it was released in 1995. It's still my favorite album. Dissection, above all Jon, was such a revolutionary Band.
This is the best black/death metal album from Sweden. I remember my grandmother bought me the record for Christmas in 1995. It was actually released on my birthday. I remember that at that time I already owned The somberlain. Which says a lot about how good I think this album is.
