The soundtrack of my youth..
Loved this album since I first heard it in 97 or around there when i was in High school. Haven't listened to it in like 20 years and it is still great and fresh sounding
I like it better than their other one
Their occult beliefs are a little off. They need a better understanding of what they claim to be experts on
Truly outstanding record, it always blows me away.
'Tis one of the albums, which return to me through life. Sadly my rare version of the digipack CD is long gone. But here i'll come to, when I'm in the mood. Just for the music and the feels and to remember who I was , when it was released. Back when I was 16.
rarity aside digipaks don't last anyway. hate 'em. the 2 disc remaster sounds good and isn't brickwalled
Every year I usher in the winter with this album. It's a tradition now.
Nice 🔥
Dissection!!!
Another extrodinary example why the 90s was the metal decade. Fret work like magic, Swedish, emotion, on fire. Scream it the fuck out.
i am just getting into black metal and for now im absolutely in love with symphonic black metal. i just found this album and i know it will be great when the intro is fire
Best meloanticosmicblackneddeathofhellintheshadowsofthenight album ever made
This album is perfection!!! 🤘🤘🤘🖤🖤🖤 Hell, all there albums are perfect!!!
Man this album is sick! Everytime I come back to hear it, I always find a song that stucks in my head, timeless masterpiece!
'Where Dead Angels Lie' always does that!
In flames
Timeless and epic. Top 3 favorite bands of all time if not the top. If you haven't watched their live concert and appreciated the magic in all that is please do so. Man...I really wish I could've seen Jon and the guys play. Tremendous talent we all lost.
*-If you ask me what extreme metal means to me, I will tell you that if extreme metal had a name that identifies it and is its banner, that would be: John Nödtveidt"*
*-John Lennon.*
Jon Lennon?🤣
Nope
I’m calling
You on that
Yeah!
I stopped being a metalhead in 2006. Still, I return to listen to this masterpiece of an album every now and then.
spoken like a true poser.
You just stopped being a metalhead?
sellout
Haha, still full of teenage angst are we?
@@TheJoshMaggot I always disliked Gore fans, having an unrefined musical ear is never an excuse for poor taste.
One of the best metal records ever made.
Best metal? That's a bit large
@@ahklys1321 You are most definitely in the wrong place if you think otherwise. I respect your right to your opinion, but I must point out that here your stance is of the exception.
@@F.Diesel It's just that I disagree with vast generalizations. And I hate favorites.
not one of the best but the one and only
@@ahklys1321 In this case, it is. I would definitely argue it should be in the top 100 metal albums ever made. Not top 10. But if you're in the top 100 that would be best of all time. Metal Storm has it listed at #18 in top 200 metal albums of all time. Another has it at #85. Yeah, people say this sort of thing on many metal songs but this ones different.
the drums are unreal
Listen to Christian Vander in Magma, you will really fall to the ground !
The drums are normal. They’re not out of this world is standard for four-time.
The drums are sloppy as hell, but imo it does add to it
Such a masterpiece. RIP Jon, wherever you are, and thank you for so much and sorry for so little.
Thank you for reuploading this great album
My absolute favourite album. Masterpiece!
Even in Low-Fi, it´s a great album. Jon Nodtveidt was a music genius. Him, and Chuck Schuldiner, fathers of extreme music.
If the album art looks like a Magic card from 97 you the record is gonna slap
