    2 simple alterations. Back throttle stop screw out. Move throttle rod to inner hole on governor arm.

      @TheKernables  Рік тому

      We’ve pulled the screw already but what does the moving that rod do?

      @Deucealive75 Рік тому

      @@TheKernables With your gearing pulling the screw is all you need at this point. In other words there won't be any gains from linkage manipulation because there's only enough power to turn so many RPM. Even when you were going downhill at 50 you still weren't at max governed RPM.

      @@Deucealive75 ok and yea na I still left a little on the table(got scared😅)

    • @Deucealive75
      @Deucealive75 Рік тому

      @@TheKernables No doubt. I didn't like doing more than 50 when i did one top speed run as a test on the road. Most all of my "off road" riding is under 40.

    This was fun to watch. Not sure if you know but your tire pressure is your shocks when it comes to minibikes and the weight of the rider determines the pressure. Later 🍻

      Glad you liked it and yea I believe I’ve got set somewhat ok haha

    Torque converters are so affordable nowadays . Big improvement . But try a 60 tooth sprocket out back . Faster acceleration . Or chance the torque converter driven pulley sprocket smaller or bigger . That's easy to do .

      I’ll keep that in mind but I think our next upgrades are gonna be carbs. The stock ones are so stiff that are hands get cramped up.

    Looks like a great place to ride. Where did you buy these bikes?

    • @TheKernables
      @TheKernables  Рік тому +1

      Yea we’re pretty lucky with the spot we have and my dad bought them for us for Christmas. One of the sporting goods stores near us discontinued these so he picked them up for a really good deal🤙

    You have to lean forward a bit while going up those hills.

    Zip tie the govenor spring, rear gear change from 50 to 44 and gain more top speed. Throw on a tillotson pk1b carb and stage 1 kit for more power, and hold on.

    • @TheKernables
      @TheKernables  Рік тому

      Yea I’ve been debating bypassing or removing the governor but changing that carb out sounds nice. Throttle on these things are so stiff.

      Coleman makes a front fork suspension kit as well. Much easier to ride off-road.

      @@TheBiliken yea I was eyeing that when we first got them and I’d still like to get that kit but I think carbs might make them more enjoyable to ride so might do that first
