Hi Megan. New subscriber here. I’m so glad I found your channel! Sorry to hear about your injury but it’s good to see you riding! I’m relatively new to dirt biking and bought myself a bike way out of my skill level last year (GasGas EX350f) but I’ve learned a lot. I’d like to buy a bike for my wife now, who is not sure she wants to even try it but I think she’d like it. I’m very interested in the KLX 140 for her. And if I’m being honest, I think I’d like riding it too! She’s 43 yo, 5’3” tall and about 155 lbs. Do you think she could handle the 140 with the big wheels?

I got a question man main issue with my ct200u is my back wheel bearings are pretty worn is that a big deal? I don’t notice it too much when riding but I just know there pretty worn is that something that could effect too much?

Uwharrie gets REAL nasty when it gets wet. The clay gets SUPER slick, almost like ice on a bike. My friend cracked his crankcase through his skidplate at Uwharrie lol.

I have one of those girly bikes in my garage next go my KTM, Harley, and DRZ400. It’s my beater bike.

Hi Megan. More than 20 years ago I had a bad accident on my street bike. I won't go into all the injuries, but it involved a priest. It took me a year and a half to learn how to walk again and I never regained a hundred percent. A couple weeks after I finally got upright, I borrowed a friend's bike and went for the scariest ten minute ride of my life. Nothing happened, I was just scared out of my mind because my friend was holding my crutches waiting for me to get back around the block and I hadn't gotten used to being 6 feet tall again much less moving faster than my toddler. (She's close to your age now actually.) My reaction time was off. My balance was off. I had no rhythm or flow on the bike. I hadn't even driven a car again yet. Every car on the road felt too close. Every tree or pole seemed to be coming for me. My confidence was less than fantastic. A few weeks after that ride I ended up back in the hospital for a serious bone infection, so it was six months before I got another chance to ride. I bought a used bike, stuck a Bungie cord on my crutches and started the long ride back to feeling confident again. I have had a great life since then. Humble, but truly great. Had to stop working full time for a long while, but I got to raise my kids and support my wife through school and into her career. I still ride. I'd rather stop breathing than stop riding. As long as you still love what you're doing, take your time. Take it easy. Take every blessing in life and use the lessons to experience your life and your family with greater love and intensity. The confidence will come back faster than you think, but you don't need to rush. Just enjoy the ride.
