Mihu just got absolutely crushed here. He didn't read the situation properly at all...SK terran was the wrong play. This was the kind of game where mech was a must.
I've never seen crazy zerg quite like that. Wow. Arty mentioned at the beginning that the map could benefit terran a bit, but the way zerg zoned out his own bases made it seem like the opposite!
Finally a game where Zerg went guardians and won. They did not fire a single shot though but it is still a great improvement considering an overall guardian winrate
@@abstractdaddy1384 Literally seconds after my timecode they show the physics lab having just begun construction. My comment and timecode was intended to highlight an inflection point in the game that the zerg had successfully swollen its base count while defending everywhere. It may have been too late with the need to still build silos + nukes and get cloak but it still would have given us a more climactic game I think. 2 nuke silo's would have been the sweet spot, the ability to threaten two entrances or critical areas at once ftw.

Back in 2004, when I played this game competitively, turtling with turrets in TvZ was considered a noob move. Now it's the meta... funny how times change.
@@ab-qj3wo The game was mostly figured out by then so yes. In TvZ it was a 50/50 on whether the Zerg went Mutalisk or Lurkers, and as Terran you teched to Science Vessels ASAP because it countered both techs. If you scouted Mutas you made 3-4 turrets, nothing like the 6+ we see nowadays. The rest was up to your Marine micro.
@@Gamerextra1029 honestly I am not sure that muta micro in its modern way existed in 2004 but even if it was - Zerg players now are way better with it than they were before and that is the reason why Terran must build more turrets, otherwise they would be destroyed by muta harass in every single game.
@@ab-qj3wo I think it also has to do with how late modern Terrans get their Science Vessels. They also tend to do weird shit like build Mech units or even Valkyries... I don't know, maybe you're right, but it's a sad state of affairs.
For real. Terran has to commit to putting up turrets just to defend the threat of mutalisks or reavers. Meanwhile, Zerg and Protoss have multiple paths to victory. Makes me feel like Terran needs some kind of buff like more bunker health, faster shuttle speed, wraiths already having the cloak ability w/o the need of upgrading it, or giving restoration an area of effect. You rarely see Terran use air and you rarely see them use nukes because they tend to be stuck 'reacting'.
@@Stranzua Terran wins tournaments all the time... just take a few minutes to Google it and see for yourself. Mihu is not the same calibre of player as yabsab, Arty even points this out later in the game, simple as that.
@@cressdrg9562 Yeah but you are talking about the best of the best. From Mihu's perspective, how could he have done any better? I'm not saying that Terran can't win. It just seems like it takes ALOT of skill to win as Terran.
@@Stranzua Put yabsab against the best terran and he will look bad. People will start saying "so hard for zerg to win, they shut down your mutas and gg", the point is that one player outplayed the other and won. Not sure why balance has anything to do with this.
@@cressdrg9562 If Yabsab can beat Scan then I would say he's pretty darn good. Either way, it just seems harder to be good with Terran than it is to be with Zerg or Protoss. That's my point. The reason I bring up balance issues is because Terran seems to have the least paths to victory. Bio or tanks, and battlecruisers if the game ever makes it that far. Zerg can zergling rush, go mutas, go for a hydralisk bust, lurkers, defilers, and ultralisks. Protoss can go with a cannon rush, dragoons with range, reavers, dark templar, storm, storm drops, zealot bombs, arbiters w/recall or stasis, and carriers. Plus, because Terran always has to be prepared for mutas, reavers, and dark templars, it seems like it's harder for them to expand. Personally, I would like to have a few more options with Terran. They rarely bunker rush, go air, use drops, or go nukes, and who wouldn't love to see more of these things.

I'm srsly impressed by yabsab, what a talent. It's always nice to see a Zerg play to its best.
This was beyond crazy zerg. This was psycho zerg.
ultra vs marine is so funny, its like the movies where this giant beast just runs in and slaughters hundreds of men

Damn, tough one!
Five Flashes working together you say. 🤔
super one-sided
I’m infinitely happier watching these casts than I would be watching whatever garbage they put on tv nowadays

Arty, when are you going to cast one of these unbeatable mass-valkyrie TvZ builds? I wanna see what all the fuss is about.
11:00 at this point I would have liked to see nukes.
Fast nuke can absolutely ruin crazy zerg so yeah that would have been awesome.
