Why not have the full clip, including the moment where the truck past the camera car? surelly they can spot the licence plate... maybe zoom in and see the plate?
Stuart Gray You really think that country is screwed because a relatively inexperienced driver chose not to pursue a 40,000+ lb truck that just rammed a car off the road?
BDofNLA Yes. First. There is no risk when following the vehicle. None. Follow at safe distance call police. Give location info. Easy. Second. The reason this country is going down the tubes is because your parents (Like many, many others) seem to have instilled upon you that the responsibilities of being a citizen in a country like ours should be abdicated to the "professional" class of law enforcement. This is why we have to have soo many police and why they are soo bad. Step up and take responsibility for the world around you.
Stuart Gray I made my assessment that it was too risky based on the apparent inexperience of the driver in the vehicle with the dash cam. Playing vigilante isn't always the sensible solution. That said, you know nothing about me and it's pretty damn foolish of you to assume that I would just sit on my ass in this kind of situation. Just to name one example of a hit and run I witnessed, I chased after someone who had hit a parked vehicle and was fleeing the scene before I stopped her to confront her and made her leave her information for the owner of that truck. (Because she only left her phone number, the police ended up filing hit and run charges against the driver). In hindsight, even though I did the right thing by stopping her, I should have called the police as well so that they would have the opportunity to catch her driving the car. Because the crime in question was a misdemeanor and not a felony, the police could not have arrested her unless they actually witnessed the "run" part of the "hit and run." In this situation, I probably would have the chased after the truck just the same, but my original point was that this Sarah person probably made a smarter choice not to pursue the truck.
That is a blind spot for the truck, believe it or not. It is still 100% the fault of the truck, and charges need to be brought up for hit and run. I know exactly where this is and there really is no reason except lack of awareness by the truck driver. I really hope they catch him. Did you guys turn the video over to the CHP? Update on the situation?
I crashed my jag f type .. devastated . Could only imagine if it wasn’t my fault and the guy got away with it.. why did nobody follow the truck from distance?! no thought to check on them just keep going Sara .. disgusting fr I know that’s a low car and a blind spot for the truck but damn how can someone j do that lol
Ok lets just sit here and talk about whose fault it was while the truck gets away...
Literally
Wow. That was hard to watch. I feel so bad for the F Type owner.
+JSR Cars it's totaled right
For expensive cars like this (and for cars like the F-type that uses an Aluminum chassis, in other words $$$) it is going to be a write-off.
I know I'm late but yes that is most definitely totaled @@NickyD

So.... did anyone help or what?
why the fuck would you not chase after it?
Chubbysumo Way too risky. Better to call the police and let them do their jobs. The truck won't be too hard to find.
BDofNLA Risky?
Also. Police doing their jobs? This is why the country is screwed. No one can even be bothered to follow a fucking truck.

Please post more footage from before the incident and make sure to send a full copy to the police.
It doesn't matter what happend before the f-type owner could've been going 120mph but that was a hit and run its the other guys fault
+Eric Barrera i think he meant so that they could catch the license plate of the truck passing the camera
That’s not how it works.
Im so glad youre okay mate, But seriously so sorry about the car.
Did it ever occur to you to check on the people in the Jag? WTH?
Lol all the cars that witnessed it stopped, took pictures and posted it on fb.....that's why no one helped
technically they are helping by spreading the word and making the video go viral to help catch the truck driver..
technically, they could have just driven at a normal speed and caught up to the truck and got the license plate and no pictures would be needed
That truck driver must be having some steel balls.
Uhhhh the insurance on that car I can just hear that man screaming!!!
wow 30 no help nobody chases the othet car props for you world
This was in L.A.?
That's over 70k wasted!
I think she wanted Sarah to be careful...
