All children’s tv should be gentle. Small Films made some of the best children’s programs ever. I loved them in the 60’s my son loved them in the 90’s.
Sandra Kerr, I could listen to her all day...so wonderful. My grandson is currently obsessed with Bagpuss and those lovely mice. Bagpuss will always be watched by someone!
Two lovely men who made many children happy in the 1970's. Sandra Kerr and Peter Faulkner are lovely people too. Four real legends of British children's television programmes 😊
Clangers were my favourite when I was about 6 yrs old.Im 61 now and still watch them.Bagpuss,Clangers,Ivor the Engine,Nogin the Nog etc....All classic children's TV.!
As a child I was captivated by these animations. The 60's and 70's was a better time for TV, better presenters, well spoken, nicer people, attitudes, music, films, culture was so much nicer.
THIS IS WHAT CHILDREN SHOULD BE WATCHING NO VIOLENCE! This is why kids today want to buy KNIVES as soon as they can walk so they can mug, steal and kill! When i was a kid knife crime was a tiny rare occurrence 😕 The people who produce the games and shows that cause this PLUS SKY BBC AND ITV for allowing it on TV God Bless Oliver and thank you for all the wonderful laughter and programs, a true gentleman RIP!
Hey did anyone see Grolliffe the ice dragon from Noggin The Nog in this clip? I'm pretty sure I saw him. Because I have a crush on him. And I love his quotes.

At 51 years of age I sometimes go to UA-cam to look up old episodes of bagpus. Thanks for the great memories Oliver ! This was a great piece.
I confess, I watch too. They bring us back to a safer comforting times....Ivor the Engine in the Winter at 5.35pm was just perfect.
Beautiful creations that shaped my childhood, lovely old school stop-motion animation, wonderful ideas & great musical accompaniment ❤xx

When today's children are 60, will their 50 year-old, infant-TV bring a nostalgic tear to their eye?
That abrupt ending was so funny.
Man I grew up on bagpuss mister Ben etc anyone else

She played the porcupine song on the accordion instead of the theme song on the orca harp
Postgate deserved a knighthood but I expect his strong socialist convictions might well have caused him to turn down national hons.
Typical person who probably didn't actually watch Bagpuss, just looked it up on the day.
