Just a note that model is a glx with the deluxe pack, The gls is only 5 seats and the glx and exceed are 7 seats, 2020 modal gls could have 5 or 7 seats.
This is GLS with 7 seats. The last one we tested was base model GLX with 5 seats. In other words, this one would be heavier. But like with all tests, the results are always going to be slightly different. Different weather, wind direction/speed, quality of fuel and fuel level etc. All of these variables would impact times.
So far Prado, Pajero and Pajero Sport have had virtually identical noise levels of about 80db at 100k’s. Given that sound over 85db is considered damaging an 8hr trip in these cars could be considered dangerous to hearing.
@@PDriveTV yes but if you add the effects of road surface, ATR tyres and wind noise it can play a large part in driver fatigue. Your noise ratings are very interesting.
Yikes, the heavy and unsophisticated 3.2 5 speed Pajero is faster than this despite being 10 years older. Can't also use the argument that the Pajero Sport is a 4wd so it should be slow blah blah, since the old school Pajero is also a 4wd.
430nm from a 2.4 litre engine? That is not going to last, jesus christ. Engine is going to be working its ass off when its towing, especially near its 3100kg capacity
That's a common misconception about small engines and longevity. Yes it works harder than larger displacements but this is accounted for by the manufactures when designing and testing. Components of these small engines are often beefed up more than it would generally be in larger displacements. The 2.5 l 4d56 triton engine for example has been around for decades and I've seen some with 700,000+ kms on the clock and these vehicles have been used for towing and off roading. The 2.4 had been around for about 5-6 yrs now and haven't had any reliability issues when it comes to intense use. Another thing as well is that Mitsubishi engines don't mind working hard, when you drive one it it's like it just wants you to put your foot down and work it as hard as it can. This is actually the opposite of what you get from Toyota, nissan etc that doesn't really what you to work it much.
The name of sport for this car does not refer to speed performance. It means that it is the cheaper smaller version of the Pajero based off the triton.
As per all of these dual cabs and their live axle offshoots, seriously poor braking performance and no doubt very poor handling. The fact that these are selling in record numbers in australia won’t do anything to reduce the road toll.
