My wife’s grandfather is 104 years old. He has lived in rural Thailand his whole life. He grew up on a diet of 99% locally grown rice and fruit. He had 10 children and to this day he’s sadly outlived all but 3 of them. His kids generation lived in a time when pork, chicken and food processing became huge industries in Thailand as it is in the USA. The grandfather continued eating the diet of his youth, rice and fruit. His son, My wife’s dad died from cancer at barely 60 years old. Edit. My wife tells me the first and only time in his life he went to see a doctor was when he got covid at age 102. He slept in the hospital 2 nights as a precaution (considering his age) and then was returned home.
Wow, I very interesting into this, maybe your wife could tell us more about him. I’ve been eating white rice, fruit and vegetables for years now. I sure hope this is the way
Was it whit jasmine rice, or did all the rice have fiber. I love white rice so much and hate brown 😂. But I know supposedly white rice is not as good. Anyway been living on jasmine rice for years, I eat at least 3-4 cups a day 👍
@@Primetime_dads he actually passed between the time I posted this and now. He was 104. As far as what rice. I can’t say, but 99% of Thais eat white rice

Wow! I was enthralled by Frank Neelon. What an intelligent and self-possessed gentlemen. I'm looking forward to my copy of The Rice Diet Solution to get myself on the kidney disease reversal track. I'm very close to kidney failure and dread dialysis.
Do you know Jun Shin Jiutzu? There is a very powerful full kidney current that you can flow yourself every day. You can call an institute and they will teach you how to stream. I can show you this one too. It is very simple and people with very poor kidney values would become increasingly healthy again. It is also incredibly good for you and gives you strength
I think it’s really cool that eating the cheapest and the simplest way is also the most nutrient-dense and health-promoting. It’s like the people doing this are a small contingent of hopefuls at war with the world - the last hold-outs determined to last through the centuries so long as we’re successful in teaching our ways to our offspring. We’re in the know. This is awesome. It’s like having an invisibility or immunity cloak during the zombie apocalypse. Proud to be here 😇
I eat rice with meat and vegetables. The portion of rice is a lot and less meat and veggies.I am always slim. But the people I know who don't eat rice are fat. They are scared to eat rice because they think it will make them fat.
Great information. Does anyone know what people eat at home once they leave the rice diet? I don’t think they are just eating rice and fruit once home. Just wondering.
he says that they stay on the diet as long as it takes THEN include vegetables...grains & a lil animal products ....but Dr McDougall wouldn't agree with the addition of animal products & I'm not sure if that would be offered now by the Rice Diet people?
You've got to get a down vote for not even mentioning sugar at all! He was literally giving the patients 100-500g of sugar a day to CURE them of diabetes and you didn't even mention it once in a 30 minute video.
Exactly what I was thinking. I searched the page for the word 'sugar' to come across your comment. Even the official wikipedia page mentions sugar but does not say anything much about it. @@NextLevelFitness7 Yep, gotta be otherwise how are we gonna convince people to buy all these junk artificial sweeteners that are in everything these days..
About sugar: is fruit juice - especially sugar sweetened juice - allowed on this diet? What about HFCS? I plan to start on this diet this week, and hope to start off right.
There's a reason why the Asian people say "Rice is life!" Thank you for this incredible video, I enjoyed it tremendously! I have about 50 lbs. that I need to lose and starting today I'm on the rice 🍚 diet!
It isn't bad for you at all. A rice diet reverses disease, including type 2 diabetes, retinopathy, and kidney disease. Even rheumatoid arthritis is reversed on this diet of rice and fruit.

The diet is absent nutrition. It’s a fasting diet. Okay in the short term, but long term it’s detrimental to your health.

The mention of Obamacare means this video is around 10 years old, but Dr. Neelon is still listed as practicing medicine at the "Rice House".
The mention of Adkins's diet being so popular is also a dead giveaway.
A very impressive gentleman.
Listening from Australia - thank you Dr Neelon; most interesting !!
Very interesting history. I'm concerned that Dr. McDougall has lost a lot of muscle (sarcopenia) though. Is this the result after so many decades?

should we be concerned of arsenic?
White rice has significantly lower arsenic levels than brown rice. I mostly eat white rice.
Would be more concerned with obesity and processed foods.
Are there vegetables included born just fruit and rice?
