I love you guys and thank you for all the videos throughout the years. I am a pescatarian, but because of you guys I now grow more than eighty five percent of my own food. Thank you 🙋🏽♀️
Y’all remind me of God, family, friendship, food and fun!! Dang it doesn’t matter in what order. Y’all are some good ol people that I just love! Nancy, I Love your shirt ma’am! Thank you both for your candor!
As always, we can count on this dynamic duo to bring the very essence of gardening to us. And, their expertise is free! You can’t beat that with a stick! Love you Hollis and Nancy and Bing Bing! ♥️🙏🏼♥️
I really appreciate this type of video where we can just watch along and it’s not over explained by so much talking lol. Your garden is beautiful. Thank you for sharing this with us.
Always nice to spend a little time with you two - and Bing-Bing. You have such a relaxing place, and it seems so quiet out there. Thanks for another enjoyable video and Nancy's one-pot meal looks delicious. She's really got a knack for some super dishes! God bless.
Hi friends, I roasted one of my red delicious squash (Japanese squash) yesterday, and it was amazing. I saved the seeds. Let me know if you want me to send you some. You cook them with olive oil and salt and pepper in the oven until they are caramelized on the top and bottom (Browned slightly).. Very, very yummy.
I was trying to come up with something for dinner using my defrosted small chicken as I started watching your video. I thought what you were making sounded good. I had everything needed on hand. I wanted a few spices in it so found a very similar recipe on line. It also had a couple more veggies. But boy was it good. Thank you for wonderful recipe.
Sometimes simple down home cooking is the best. My kids tell me that chicken, potatoes, and green beans and beef stew with just beef, potatoes and carrots are their favorite meals by far. And they are the easiest to throw together into a pot and get on with it.
I never grew those beans because I always thought they were pole beans! I need to put those on my list. Anyone have a Hollis that can turn my yard into a garden? 😆😆
What a stylish looking bean pod! It screams for an artistic topping sauce to make a “statement” side dish. 🤔. Maybe pickled sweet red onions on the side… I’m no good for sauces - either cheez wiz or white sauce ! Gotta have a better topping for those beans…..but the one pot meal looks GREAT!
I just made this tonight, had to buy the beans and potatoes, but will plant them in spring. that dish was so awesome, as hollis said the smells of it is incredible and the flavor was perfect. awesome job again nancy. !!!
@@HollisNancysHomestead I agree with you there. I remember my mom making the same dish from our garden with a big pan of cornbread. My doctor highly recommended that I cut my carbs down to 20 a day, which doesn’t leave much room for cornbread. As much as I love cornbread I can’t remember last time I’ve had it.
Good morning Hollis and Nancy. I hope all is well with you. We finally received some rain here in central Texas although not near enough to make up the deficit. I have a question that comes from a friend of mine. She was canning some purple onions and one of the quart wide-mouth Ball jars cracked around the bottom of the jar. She followed the standard protocol for pre-heating the jars etc. etc. When she told me about it I thought, maybe there were generic jars made in China but she said they were Ball. Do you have idea what might have happened? thanks and happy gardening.
Well Hollis, it's not that much easier. The veggies still must be washed and cut up. The bacon, garlic, onion & thighs browned. I mean the only real difference is saving a pot or two from the sink. 😂

Yummy. But where’s the cornbread?
We try to not eat as much carb. When you get old it helps :-)

With so much produce, do you sell any at local farmers markets?
We been blessed to not sell
Any. I can a lot of it and we at alot fresh

I don’t know but she might ask a safe canning group or the local extension office.
🙏💕
Where did you get that thick bacon?
It’s a regular bacon that I folded and froze 😂😂
🙏🙏🙏🙂♥️👍
Talk about a big land
Please, are those red Norland taters?
Hi, Bing Bing!
Yes it was

It is so worth it to have fresh vegetable from the garden. :-)
I have a dumb question which probably everybody watching knows the answer to accept me. How many acres do you folks have?
15 acres 😂
