realistically, if you’re buying a 25 year old tourer v, half that shit is getting replaced anyways. you’re better off getting a cheap tourer s and dropping in a refreshed 1jz and brand new r154 knowing that you have brand new parts that won’t need replacing in the foreseeable future
could do that under 1k if you find a deal on a part out and use the stock is300 computer. jz mounts should be the exact same. would need an exhaust mani. but 1jzge to 2jzge is kinda pointless might as well just na-t your original motor. well, moot point because ultimately a turbo’d 2jge and a standalone would be ideal for cheap power
nah I’ve done the math a million times and the swap. Most cost effective and best result is to buy a tourer s and do the swap. Clean low mile tourer s is 10-12k plus 5 for the manual swap can be less depending on clutch. engines can be found for around 3200. 1000 for intercooler and exhaust and 1000 for other misc stuff power steering res, resealing the engine/ maintenance, new steel turbo cartridge, charge pipe and air filter, and fluids. now for let’s just say 23k you have a super clean car inside and out, non leaking engine, brand new trans and clutch, etc. all for about the same than the average 150k mile beat up tourer v.

Damn. In 2010 i bought my 1jzgte with r154 for 2800 shipped. 😢😢😢
😮
How about 2jz swapping? Planning to build a 2jz ge

@leakerror thing is mine has a 1g-fe motor
@@Mahamotives mine too, just use is300 front crossmember for the jz mounts
Might as well save up a bit more and buy a Tourer V
At that point I agree!
8k for a gx shell thats cleanish plus 8k for the swap + 1k for misc.
