You should try the MHD all for reading codes, it’s free and most people with a turbo bmw have an MHD or thor obd2 adapter you can read and clear coded and no payment needed for that

How did you get the r154 to work with the digital dash? Is there any wiring changes? Any errors?

realistically, if you’re buying a 25 year old tourer v, half that shit is getting replaced anyways. you’re better off getting a cheap tourer s and dropping in a refreshed 1jz and brand new r154 knowing that you have brand new parts that won’t need replacing in the foreseeable future
