I know I will sound cliche af but surround yourself with people who love you, listen to some good music, don’t stay inside for too long (it gets worse when you stay home all day, personal experience), if you are into video games - play some. If you are of age to work - you can completely go into work, it distracts you a lot. Hold on there, dude, stay strong.

The disorder you're talking about in regards to the multiple personalities is dissociative identity disorder(initially known as split-personality disorder, or multiple personality disorder), and it's just as scary you say it is. People who suffer from this disorder cannot discern the various different personalities they have, led alone control them, and it effects those around them just as much as it effects themselves. It's a truly horrible disorder that psychologists do not understand fully yet, but one thing they do know is that it's often times caused by severe mental/psychological trauma, especially from one's own childhood. It could be that the personal demon of Bozeman's mother is her psychological manifestation of a horrible, traumatic event/experience that occurred in her childhood, which left her severely, mentally scarred for life.

    • @chrisburkhardt4902
      @chrisburkhardt4902 3 роки тому

Indeed. I believe they've drawn some commonality among people with DID (Dissociative Identity Disorder). Incredibly traumatic and repeating events in early childhood appears to be the highest. Unlike how it is portrayed in film, the symptoms are often subtle. It's not something that is usually openly displayed. The whole portrait of each personality having it's own name, voice, look, etc. is actually rather rare and extreme. However, the concepts are the same. It's a complicated disorder and more like personality fragmentation than having entirely separate "characters" that live inside the person. Someone suffering from DID has a "core" personality (which is their "normal" personality) and "alternate" personalities (also known as "alters") that they switch between. The person may have a difficult time recalling important life events such as previous birthdays, graduations, engagements/marriages, etc. or they may not be able to remember them at all depending on which "alter" they are currently in and which one "lived" the experience. An interesting side note: memory suppression of traumatic events is actually a fairly common survival technique employed by young kids. There are rape victims who have completely forgotten about the incident because their developing brain has suppressed the event in order to continue to develop. Although this is a little different than DID. With DID, the amnesia is due to personality switching and not exactly memory suppression. Other symptoms include sudden, drastic changes in behavior like timid and shy to extremely bold and outgoing, or someone who smokes daily to non-smoker back to daily smoker. It really does run the gambit from clinical depression to schizophrenia. Their opinions on different subjects may greatly contradict what they believed a few days ago and they may have a hard time with a sense of singular self-identity or a sense of detachment from reality. They may even love a type of food one day and absolutely hate it the next. DID is often accompanied by PTSD as well. It's a very interesting disorder that we are still learning a lot about.

    • @TheMightyMana
      @TheMightyMana 3 роки тому +1

In Psychology you can work on persons that dont have DID with subconscious elements often called "The inner Child" "Inner Mother" etc.
The "Inner Child" is often worked upon on Depressive People or people with Axiety Disorders.. to get to those personality shares that are the base of those problems, but are well hidden away, repressed or forgotten. To get deep to those problems and work on them. However it takes a fair share of stability for the person to get this done, aswell as a good therapist. In a traumatic event like you descirbed those subconcious personality traits ( that everyone has ) can split from the core personality and become their own personalities as a coping mechanism.
For example, if you neglect your inner child or your inner child is scared psychological (due to a traumatic experience) it might manifest itself like this to tell a person: "Hey, im here and im not that well.." if you repressed it for too long. The Split basicly happens as a coping.. as the person doesnt want to have it as "Theres a part of ME deepy hurt" so the mind turns it "there is something within that is deeply hurt".. so they shift it away from themselfs into another personality share.

Usually, schizophrenia manifests with not just MPD (Multi-Personality Disorder) but true separation. It is extremely rare but it is not unseen. 18 years in mental health I have come across it a few times and will tell you that as a caretaker I have never found anything so breathtakingly scary and draining in my life. Usually, we equate it with bipolar disorder, and not true full-blown onset MPD but people that suffer from it make you believe in possession and evil. I am not being hyperbolic when I say that some of the voices and disturbing thoughts of self-mutilation and the acts that I have seen committed to others and on themselves make you find religion quickly. Just because we have a name for it doesn't mean we understand it. Here's hoping that we dedicate more resources to mental health

I’m so glad you guys listened to this. This song alone introduced me to deathcore as well as the rest of the album which is a masterpiece in my opinion, as a christian they’re my favorite band and I give the album much credit for that.
From what I’ve heard the lead singer was apparently raised a christian but due to what he experienced in childhood and other factors he strayed away from that path, unfortunately. I would give the rest of this album a listen for sure. Probably We Are One next to give more insight on the multiple personalities and has quickly become one of my favorite songs.
As a christian I can’t help but be moved by this album due to the subject matter and while they’ve made songs with anti-christian themes before I can’t help but think what the singer went through played into it, especially the deeper you look into the rest of the album and the lyrics.
I know this is a longer comment but I really appreciate you guys as fellow christians appreciating this kind of music especially with its subject matter, God bless!

Great reaction but i wanna clarify some mental health stuff, MPD (now called DID) isnt the same as schizophrenia, what i understand about the song is she had both, schizophrenia is more just hallucinations and delusions, DID (Dissociative Identity Disorder) is many people in one mind, but it can be easily to confuse them so i dont blame you! It was a good video that i relate with very much

      King James Version
6 But when he saw Jesus afar off, he ran and worshipped him,
7 And cried with a loud voice, and said, What have I to do with thee, Jesus, thou Son of the most high God? I adjure thee by God, that thou torment me not.
8 For he said unto him, Come out of the man, thou unclean spirit.

Just one personality that didn't get to fourm properly in childhood. They're not literally multiple people despite it feeling/presenting like that. However it is a very complicated disorder and there's really not that much research done on it as its quite rare/hard to diagnose.

Pastor Rob, so you know, multiple personality disorder also comes with those multiple personalities having their own medical conditions that have no bearing on the other personalities. My wife works with this every day and helps them find their way and navigate these lives. Hope this helps in the question, do the multiple personalities have their own soul.

    • @bleh1546
      @bleh1546 2 роки тому +1

No. They're not literally multiple people despite it displaying that way. Each personality is part of the same whole, they just didn't merge together like they should have due to severe trauma/abuse in early childhood

    They appear
I remember when the fire was security, now it's killing me
A wolf can't hunt without its prey, so take me to my grave
The demons dance by the fireside
But tonight they migrate to my bedside
    Burn the bed, burn everything
    It's a lie anyway
    There's nowhere left to run
There's nowhere left for me to be
    Without you by my side
I cry but if you take a closer look
    You'll see it's a demon's eyes
There's no coming back for me
For my spirit guide is trapped inside my brain
    I don't know who I am
In the name of the Father and the Holy Ghost
Close your gates, lock the doors, there is no hope
    Burn the bed, burn everything
    It's a lie anyway
    There's nowhere left to run
There's nowhere left for me to be
    Without you by my side
How could the world take you from me
They all deserve to burn with me
What has the world come to when a demon defiles a witch
Nobody trusts a word I say
    I can't erase these memories
    But I will erase humanity
    Erase humanity
    Burn the bed, burn everything
    It's a lie anyway
    There's nowhere left to run
There's nowhere left for me to be
    Without you by my side
How could the world take you from me
They all deserve to burn with me

I had a crazy experience about 5 years ago where I saw my friend be possessed and act out in speech and violence towards me. And when I prayed I felt power come into me. I told my friend/ the demon. You have no power here. God is my king and you have no power . And he sat down and became silenced. Another person witnessed this happen and got scared. Said to me this cant happen. What just happened. And then left due to confusion. But I know what I felt and saw. It was a powerful experience

As someone who deal with having multiple personalities it can be hard to deal with. I used to think I was possessed then years later finally got a diagnosis. Ive got a total of 6 diagnosis and one is major depressive disorder and with that I can deal with suicidal idealistic ideas. If you want more info there is a book by a lady who is a Christian and she has a degree in psychology and her book was hard to read cause DID is caused by trauma but it really helps open one's eyes. My system includes 46 members. Were fortunate cause some people have thousands.
