@gpzfan5272Someone should have briefed him properly or he could have spent half an hour learning about all the bikes on his stand to so as not to look like an idiot. Very poor for a manufacturer’s stand at a motorcycle show.
This bike is already impacting the naked bike market. MT10s getting reduced as are the Suzukis. Mad that they have made this at such a competitive price. But it’s good news.
For road riders that‘s true if they can live with a more revy engine in the Hornet. Think of the Beamer S1000R. When it comes to the chassis though I‘m pretty sure that it won‘t cut it for really sporty riders since it ain‘t out of the Fireblade. It‘s some cheap steel frame that‘s very similar to the Z900s. So In that sense the Hornet ain‘t a real power naked like the MT-10 and GSX-S 1000 definitely are. Besides the Suzuki is not far above the SPs price tag.
@garysteer62 yes I'm gutted. I have a mt10 on pcp, and got it on offer when 12k last year. I'm getting ridiculous PX offers, which is just making me keep the bike.
@matthewjackson3034 I've had 2 mt 10's a awesome sounding bike but price wise has all yamaha gone skyward to much that hornet certainly shaken the market
I wish it had an upper fairing and a lower cowl that covered the pipes and bottom of the engine. I don't get the naked bike thing being hammered by the wind. I know people like the naked bike ergonomics. with semi sport bike handling. but why not have wind protection. it doesn't have to be a full fairing. but why naked. if you are going a hundred miles per hour. you are being hit by hundred mile an hour winds. why would anyone prefer that. and it seems like it would be so easy to make some fairings optional.
Suspension and Brakes look fancy. Rest of the bike, especially switch gear looks really cheap. I guess thats the compromise you make when you cut costs.
For 10 grand, worth buying to rag around. Cheaper than a Ninja 1000SX, more low end than Speed Triple 1200RS. Interesting to see what exhausts will come out, don’t care for the valve Euro spec factory exhaust. What’s this bloke talking about, there’s standard, rain, race ride modes on them I was told and read up plus a few other modes level 3 and 4 from another bloke on that stand last week lol.
I thought the colour and paint scheme on the SP needs to be gloss black or at least give it a couple of colour optiions that matt finish is awfull. You can deffo tell its been built to a budget in certain places but it a nice looking bike i will say that.
There is no such thing as a bargain when it comes to buying motorcycles in 2024. They try to make us belive we made a big deal but in reality these motorcycles should cost half of the price they are asking.
Build a sports tourer off this platform as another alternative to the NT1100 and watch Honda reap the rewards as riders on other makes that dont want an NT1100 take the proposed hornet based one… How about it Honda?
I didnt think it had a 6 axis imu? It does have riding modes though lol
I don't think it has. And I believe it does have rider modes. Sounds like a good proposition (except for that exhaust obviously!). 🤣🤣
Please do fact check, this video is full of mistakes, no 6axis imu and there are rider modes. BHP UK, you need to fix this in comments
So does it or doesn’t it? I thought not!
@@Ukmongoose3 it doesn’t otherwise I’d out a down payment on it already.
@@ilovetorah I get it

I concur. He knew fucked all . Useless

All we are hearing is cheaper bikes haha
This is absolute bargain going to kill off the mt10 for price

There is no six axis IMU
why did he say there was
@ilovetorah Because the bloke doesn't know what he's talking about. There is no IMU, and there are rider modes. How he's a Honda rep, I have no idea
As they are going sell like hot-cakes, it makes sense that you have the full Blade solution ready.
6 axis IMU? I havent seen this info anywhere.
Doesn't have it. That is part of the low price.
Then why did the guy say there is a 6 axis IMU? Confusing as I heard everybody else says there is no 6 axis IMU.
No IMU. 100%
No clue this honda guy (that is a shame)

The only colour that's available for the SP in the UK is black & not grey
It does look more like graphite/charcoal grey in person. To me it doesn't even look like it's painted. Very plasticky.
Is it coming to the United States?
Suspension and Brakes look fancy. Rest of the bike, especially switch gear looks really cheap.

This is maybe what the Suzuki Bandit 1200 did back in the mid 90’s, built for the masses.
Looking forward to catching up with you on Sunday at NEC
See you soon!
The plus5 hp is irrelevant as the exhaust gets swapped out.
liked the video off of the camera quality alone. GJ
Thanks, he will love this comment haha
Honda, bring this bike to the US!!
What about the cbf 1000 , when that coming

Does it have anti kak-my-broek control?
Build quality look good in person? Or, even though new and shiny, does it "feel" like $9k?
£9000 really cheap? What sort of planet are these guys on?!!
Looks great , but Honda finely caving in and doing a Yamaha MT series, start off cheap , build a following , then increase prices as sales go up.
Let's see where it goes!
Thw MT10 is miles better quality than this Hornet i thought it looked cheap and nasty in places
What a nice normal guy from Honda.

Looks a great bike and tempted..
We are in the same boat!

Half!!! They'd all go out of business. They need to make profits or it isn't a viable business. (Looking at KTM 🧐)
Seriously? You clearly know nothing about the motorcycle industry and what it costs to produce a new model.
Honda is always pretty good, great motorsport brand
Was interested in the bike, after seeing it at the show, nope, can see why its "cheap" iv saw better quality on a Chinese bike from 5 years back.
Unbelievable bargain.

That is a bike worth having!
Meh, wont be getting rid of my 24 XSR900 for awhile me thinks.
No cruise even as an option !! No thanks 😊
Naked bike Kawasaki z1000 style.
HDa BMW DCT...
There is no reason to buy a z900 after this
There is the Z900 is much better quality
@Carvetii i dont see realy a much better quality in the z900 🤔 specs are nearly the same
@@stefanbre4139Quality or specs? They are different things
No point buying standard one
👍
Check the VIN# cause at those prices, more than likely they were assembled in Thailand or Singapore,??🤔
They are built in indonesia
bargain
Looks like it!
Pointless
Stick with an Mt10
Great pricing 👍
