Probably better to stick to Honda and Yamaha, knowing the way KTM are currently going.
2:26 with the knowledge you have of KTM 790 (2019 version 105 at the crank), can you flash the ECU for me without brining the bike in? K&N filter, SC Project can but still with Cat - I just want bottom end sorted and to make sure it’s fuelling ok/not too lean.
That exhaust system is gash.

Unbelievable bargain.
Be interesting to see how they fit this new motor in a new Monster. Problem is will it be too close to the new V2 Streetfighter even if it gets the 115 hp spec version.
Ducati’s marketing is working hard to get their potential customers to accept the drop in hp. Yet, these same consumers have been trained for years, by the same marketing folks, that hp is king.
Got to say the SF V4 does it for me.
Its aimed at the road rider i would guess. 120bhp is plenty for the road. I bet there is a V2R version in the pipeline to go racing with, probably with desmo valves and more power.
It's a shame cars aren't going the same way,instead we have bloated inefficient 2.5 tonne heaps of junk clogging up the roads and car parks.

@BHPUK me too,even the Porsche 911 is a big heavy car now,they used to be bare bones and minimalist, if bikers acted like car drivers we'd all be doing half mile journeys to the shops on a Goldwing with a side car and a trailer fitted.

It is $1000 cheaper here in USA compared to the previous Panigale V2 model, so that is a step in the right direction, but the lack of 30hp will definitely be criticized. But, we should ask, who is the buyer of a Panigale V2? I guess it won't be the ultimate thrill seeker, because that is what the Panigale V4 is for. We are reserving judgement till we get to ride one to see if it leaves anything from the previous Panigale V2 to be desired.
disagree - the V2 is an amazing track bike and has plenty of power. My V2 is a dedicated track weapon and I embarrass the guys on V4S all day long. So much fun....
Just buy 959 much cheaper you dont all that tech for that power.

I see two issues with this bike: 1) It cannibalizes the 950 Supersport 2) the price is getting into the BMW S1000RR territory.
It’s highly likely this bike was built to basically consolidate the Panigale v2 and the supersport into a single model so not so much an issue but a conscious decision
To be attractive, price should be the same level to Yamaha R9. Unfortunately, it’s not.

@BHPUK I'm thinking about buying the street fighter tbh. I have a multistrada pikes peak v4 which I love but it's just too quick for the road and I'm going to lose my licence as I just can't help myself! First world problems. Love your channel gentlemen and keep up the good work.

I think that new v2 Panigale is going to be great fun. The new V4s looks fantastic and will blow your socks off....but you'll probably have more fun on the smaller, lighter bike on the road.

New bikes are just too expensive. Smaller engine doesn't need the expensive tech to control it.
That’s amazing. So if it’s making 95.35hp at the rear wheel, does that mean it’s making 95.35/0.85=112 hp at the crank? (Assuming 15% losses through transmission). That absolutely incredible!
No wait, that can’t be right. I think your dyno is reading high because your overlaid “stock bike” is making 87hp at the rear wheel which is only about 7.1% loss compared with the rated 93.8hp. Assuming Honda is reasonably accurate with that 93.8hp rating then scaling the tuned bike by the same ratio we would get 95.35/0.929=102.6 hp at the crank which seems more like it.
The only colour that's available for the SP in the UK is black & not grey

I have a 1390 SDR, and wow, what a terrific bike, bu that SDGT looks sweet too if you wanted to carry stuff and have some wind protection. The wind management on the SDR is actually pretty good though for a naked.

Build a sports tourer off this platform as another alternative to the NT1100 and watch Honda reap the rewards as riders on other makes that dont want an NT1100 take the proposed hornet based one… How about it Honda?

This bike is already impacting the naked bike market. MT10s getting reduced as are the Suzukis. Mad that they have made this at such a competitive price. But it’s good news.

There is no such thing as a bargain when it comes to buying motorcycles in 2024. They try to make us belive we made a big deal but in reality these motorcycles should cost half of the price they are asking.

I thought the colour and paint scheme on the SP needs to be gloss black or at least give it a couple of colour optiions that matt finish is awfull. You can deffo tell its been built to a budget in certain places but it a nice looking bike i will say that.

Suspension and Brakes look fancy. Rest of the bike, especially switch gear looks really cheap. I guess thats the compromise you make when you cut costs.
Looks great , but Honda finely caving in and doing a Yamaha MT series, start off cheap , build a following , then increase prices as sales go up.
