G’day Simon. Just a hint to avoid doubt; write the changeover date in marker pen on the filter. Otherwise, add an entry in your phone calendar and later you can do a search🔍 by typing ‘filter’ or whatever you wrote. Cheers 👍🏻🙏🦘
Smart Grahame, bugging my self that I didn't think of that my self. 😅 My youtube channel is kind of my logg-book, as I film almost everything that is done to the Discovery. I even wrote a little comment for my self in the description part of the video. 😊 I also did it on the oil service video, as I noticed that I'm overdue for another service. 😅 Problem is, my garage is full because of another project.... To be revealed this upcoming Thursday.. 🚗 Best, Simon
Good job :-) I am just about to change fuel filter aswell and gues what, my turbo has the same issue and I also will take care of it at spring. Are you going to pull turbo out by yourself? Cheers :)
Hehehe, a nice coincidence. I haven’t delt with it yet as it “fixed” it self. 🤗 I think this happens when the car sits still for a week or longer. This has happened four five times in the past two years. Every time, the car gas been standing for a good while. I need a lift before I can do the turbo my self, and I don’t think that will happen soon, so just hoping regular use will keep it going. Some have done the turbo with the body on but one bolt snaps and you’re pretty much stuck and body needs to come off either way. Can I ask what year your Disco is?
Hey, do you or someone of the viewer maybe knows someone who is making similar videos but in Norwegian? i would love to improve my Norwegian while watching. Thank you for your videos! They are great!
Sadly I don't know. The early winter off-road videos we speak Norwegian. After that one took off a bit we decided to do it in english. 😊 Maybe should have continued with Norwegian, no video has done it that good, except for one. 😅
Hey, and sorry no, I didn’t. It’s a bit outside my comfort zone when it comes to the mechanical side. I got my local LR garage to do the job, i know the mechanic there. He has done all my major engine work, belts and so on.
I really hope so. Would be a milestone, pun intended, for me as car owner. From what I've heard the 4.4V8 in the D3 is really solid engine, better than the TDV6. A bit on the hungry side, but runs for miles. 😊 I would love to own the LR3 V8 version, but sadly so few in Norway, only a handfull it seams. In the period of the D3 release Norway was all about Diesel and how good it was and how much better it were than petrol. Now it's evil.
@ yes the lr3 and 4 V8’s are outstanding. I’m talking about the 3.9 and 4,0 l V8’s in the Disco 1&2’s almost always got over 200k miles which is about 320,000 km
@@jdenmark1287 👍 I haven't read to much about them, but from what I have heard and seen, overheating seams to be it's biggest issue. Especially in the D2. 320km is great, and if I can get there the car has really done me proud. 😊

Best,

Guys handle the water sensor very gently, with age it becomes brittle AF. Spilled half a tank across my hometown the other day.
Good tip Christian. 👍
I haven't had an issue with them breaking, is it a common problem?
Simon
Good job Simon. Happy new year 😊
Thanks, you too!
And I do my best, it's fun to work on your own car, you get to know it so much better.

@@LandRoverDrive will check. Thanks!!
Did you change the oil pump yourself?

You should easily get 300 k on that engine. With proper care even the very problematic Rover V8 petrols would go past 300k .
