that was a wonderful video mate, I appreciate the that you took the time to really polish the animation up and showcase some techniques that don't get a lot of attention. I can see myself making a lot of changes to how I work with some of the stuff shown here.
Thanks man, I spent two days trying this effect for a 5 second animation, but the result is amazing. You have a new subscriber, I want to check other tutorial like this. Thanks 🔥
this is amazing, this video isnt just how to replicate, for beginners like me, it allows me to explore davinci resolve and learn new skills in the video, while also making a really cool project. i maybe one year late but this is amazing. Keep it up!
I do alot of graphics, including 3d and vector stuff, but i never learnt video editing much at all just the basic pp filters or luts 💁. But now im trying to learn it and i feel so mad that i never tried it b4, it's just so awesome. I watch a UA-camr with similar editing to vox, and I've always been crazed by how much the vfx and sfx impact the overall video, the channel name is Johnny Harris btw. Super cool tutorial 👌👌👏
2:15 Just FYI guys, I found out if you're white area is too small (like cutting out a couple sentences using snipping tool for example) the luma tool wont work. Use a large area and just crop it in the inspector.
My god. Thank you. I have lost the number of times I've googled this exact thing only for search results to show me random nonsense. PS: I recently figured out how to do a Microfilm like effect with this animation style, especially when I want to show PDFs and whatnot in the video. My PDF reader, Zathura, does a nightmode that give PDFs instant microfilm look. I then screenrecorded me browsing through the salient parts of the PDF. This sorta removed the need to a lot of the Fusion parts of the workflow and it was my little workaround cause I couldn't figure this out. Thank you.
Hey, man. What an insightful video. But I had one question, can we create a template for such animations in DaVinci Resolve? There's a concept in coding, DRY: Don't Repeat Yourself. If I were to create such animations on a daily basis, an animation template would save so much time, all I would need to do is add necessary text and images and tweak some properties if necessary, and voila! It's done.
Just do everything in fusion, instead of creating shit loads of tracks. Because it's in fusion, you can export it as settings files, which are just like the presets that content creators sells. It'll probably faster and more flexible.
All of the animation where elements slide into view can be replaced with a push transition added at the beginning… I took the time to make one in each direction with a nice smooth curve and saved them as user presets 😊 Saved so much time!
Subbed because of the great explanation! There's just so much to learn and explore in Fusion. Hoping you'll share more videos on these kinds of effects/edits in Resolve. Thank you so much for this!
Wow thank you for this walkthough dude! Very detailed and great use of the edit page. I would have done everything in fusion which would be way more confusing ^^
Hi - I'm trying to learn best practice for video editing. When making a longer video, you would just export this one section and bring it into a separate timeline where you edit the full video together right? (like how you make animations in After Effects then later bring it into Premier for the full movie)? If you have a voice overlay how do you guys get the timing synced to the animation?
Incredible, man! This is the exact kind of thing I was looking for. One question: Is there a way to turn some of this stuff into presets? It's a timely process, and would be awesome to have shortcuts for it. Maybe that can be another video! Thanks :)
I was reading your comment while walking and turned my head to the left side and coincidentally saw a box on which the word 'Legend' was written. *surprised pikachu face* 😧
This is just amazing, thank you very much! I’m just curious, as I wasn’t able to do it myself. What about if you want to add two or three lines of text? Where do I have to place the new background or rectangle nodes?
This is truly one of the most amazing tutorial out there. I was searching for this for so long, honestly didnt think that editing would be this simple. Thanks a lot. P.S Can you please tell me the bg audio that you used from 20:15 ?
Noob here. How do I get my fusion layout to look like 13:09? With MediaOut1 on the left, Node middle, and Inspector right. Mine is MediaOut1 on top, Node bottom, and inspector right. I've been clicking buttons but I can't figure out how to move it.
Hi! I just used your tutorial and I gotta say, it's so easy to follow! You're a great teacher! May I ask what sound effects have you used on the final product? Thanks!
Thx a lot for making this tutorial;) May I ask where did you find the intro music(i notice Vox use it quite often)? what is the genre and instrument u searched for? I've been finding this type of music but can't find it anywhere. Thx
Are there any disadvantages of doing all of that within one fusion composition instead? Doing it directly in the timeline like you did looks a bit messy to me. Also I think it's easier to re-use if its just one fusion composition. But I can easily imagine that I overlook some disadvantage
Hi MotionEpicFX, I really enjoyed your video and was particularly impressed with the music background you used. I was wondering if you could share the name of the track or provide a link where I can download it, even if it's a paid download. Thank you in advance!
17:24 hey can any one explain me how that mask got disappared when sliding away, because when iam trying to move my mask [ the way shown in video ] the whole mask is moving, not creating the highligh effect, so how do you do it ? help!
You are an absolute genius, i hope you never stop making these tutorials dude.

Great video! Super detailed. Many creators when making these videos just neglect to have this amount of care, or kind of just don't show you. Thanks
