- My Alfa 156 GTA was about to reach around 222 400 km and needed to change the timing belt, and on the good advice of the mechanic, I decided to redo the entire engine.

I feel privileged to have owned both a 2.5 and 3.2 litre version of this engine in an Alfa 156 and Alfa GT respectively. Fabulous engines.
Confirm i have the 2.5 in 156 , the 3.0 in GTV, and a GT 3.2 and i love them !

My GTV V6 TB had almost the same mileage when I decided to unregister her after 22 years and keep the car, and went for a used 4200 CC, same color as yours. Thank you for this great video.

Fantastic! Have you had a remap to gain more benefit from the carbon plenum? I have the ACT carbon plenum on my GTA which is a slightly smaller volume but supposedly a better design for air flow, even without a remap it made a noticeable improvement in torque.
Hi, the mine has a form like wing of an airplane ... it is supposed to accelerate the air flow...
I don't even want to speak about the design, it's a never ending story as for each shop their own Plenum will be the best.
Yes it is remaped,... I have q good torque from 2500tr/min a second KissColl effect at 3300tr .. the same torque as 4000tr previously. The engine keep the same energy up to the "end" at 7500rpm ;)
Some guys in some forums tells the carbon plenum is not usefull... these internet engineers are funny ... lol
You`re a lucky guy. My 147 Gta is now in service station. They are doing the same. I have to pay 10.000Euros for everything :-( . The sad thing is, i bought my Gta last december. :-/

Je vois que tu as monté un plenum carbone , la pipe d'admission est d'origine ou bien différente avec diamètre supérieur ?
Quel gain as-tu obtenu ?

Merci, la tubulure d'admission n'est pas d'origine, .. sinon ce serait en plastoc moche.
le gain .. je n'ai pas la puissance actuelle, mais ca avance plus fort, largement devant une GTA d'origine car ça respire mieux, aucun étouffement.

Hello, do you have OEM or sport camshafts? Do you know OEM cam timing? If yes, may you write me? It should be a little different from 3.0 on intake only. I'm checking a 3.2 engine now.

Salut, merci .. environ 3500€ de pièces + rectif en faisant des compromis prix/qualité des pièces (je n'ai pas acheté les moins cher mais pas forcément les plus cher non plus), et pour les rectifs : volant moteur + culasses avec épreuve.
Bien sûr tout ça si les organes principaux internes du moteur sont nickel ...
Pour la MO, discuter avec le mécano (voir mail dans la description) ... ;)

Tu comptes le plénum carbone dans les pièces ?
Tu va la passée au banc de puissance pour voir si elle tourne mieux qu'avant ?

Non pas du tout, la prépa était présente déjà .. plénum, papillon, tubulure inox, silicone, etc ... et reprog.
Et oui je vais la passer, mais il faut attendre qu'elle soit libérée.
La je dois avoir dans les 3300km de fait..
J'ai le temps ..
Sinon elle tourne mieux, plus stable au ralenti, plus propre au niveau son, etc .. elle se libère doucement : après 2000km effectués, j'ai senti une différence.
Je ferai quelques mesures avec un outil connecté du genre 0-100 et le 400m ...

Hello, It depends on where and who will make the job .. I think in an alfa shop, it will cost a lot like around 10/12000 Euro.. if you find a guy passioned by this engine, perhaps less like 6/7000euros (near of what i've paid)

Edge 10W60 is too thick I use 0W40 and its a charm ;)
Great great job, only thing i would like different is less colours. Red, black and chrome would do a job, real italian style. This way, with i dont know, 8 different colours or so is little ricey in my opinion. But hey, your car your taste and i respect that. But that throtle body and plenum, uhhhh pure sex.
