Hvac here. Use that external intake hose. With the hose, the outside air coming in is being cooled and expelled. Without it, warm air is being sucked in from outside directly into the space you want to cool. Much more efficient and cools better with the hose.
You’re the first one to compare the size to the old model! That was helpful and confirms my thoughts that the Wave 1 is the size of a 90s desktop tower
The wave 1 is fairly large for sure. I still think it’s a great unit though

This one is leaps and bounds better. The old one was good but mostly it was good as a first attempt to make a good AC. This one is just good. Looking forward to next years lol.

Very educational video thanks. I like when it’s use inside with only the outlet not the inlet for cooling and heating and why put that expensive wave outside for cooling inside when you can use it inside just like shown In this video. At least it won’t be stolen. If anyone knows the answer please let me know I would like to use the wave in a 6x12 insulated cargo trailer in Canadian winter so can go down to -30 Celsius here so is it possible to not use the inlet just the outlet and heat my trailer in cold weather? I will never let the inside of my trailer get below 45 Fahrenheit because birds will die so that mean the wave will always be warm and only to outlet would let the colder air out to warm the trailer. If anyone knows the answer please let me know. Thanks.

Fk my life finally someone who understands how to use this properly, I don’t get all the people wanting to suck hot air from outside to make the condenser work so hard, they wonder why it’s not working properly 🤷♂️

Sure, Ive lived by that for years but this video is mostly for the people that want one of these and want to see it in action before they buy it. I’ll for sure be using the AC function in Moab. I’d love to see if the heater works when I camp in winter but who knows.
