Excellent review. I’m glad you mentioned about the DC to DC usage and how much wattage it’s uses. 234 to almost 300 watts on pure DC is incredibly efficient. I doubt a regular AC window unit would be able to pull those numbers. Also thank you for showing that adapter for the delta pro. I was wondering if you can still connect another battery or the dual fuel gas generator while having the AC connected. Glad to see that is possible. For me, I think if I got the Delta Pro, the dual fuel gas generator and use only propane, and run just this AC unit and a full sized refrigerator, it will be a good combination for grid losses. Where I live, we had Hurrican Ian hit us last year and had no power for many days. Hot and humid with no power really sucks. So I wish I would have had this at that time.
90% of reviews on the wave 2 fail to talk about the amount of water this thing produces. It's important to talk/show how to drain it before storing/moving. It also doesn't produce the cold air once the water pan is full which happens in about an hours time, at least here in Texas.
It depends on your ambient humidity. In Arizona, my friend told me he never has to empty the water from his portable air conditioner, the same model my parents have in Michigan that pulls a lot of moisture out of the air at their house when humidity is in excess of 80%
It doesn’t have a water pan, it has a drain line which you can run into a bucket or bottle and dump out as necessary. So not sure what you’re referring to about not producing cold air when the pan is full…
@@randysalvaje512 As I understand, it has a Pan for accumulation then it has a pump, that when the Pan is full, pumps it out through the drain hose. There are 2 settings though... if you're at less than 50% humidity or something like that you can set it to evaporat, not having to drain anything BUT anything above A certain humidity level it won't be able to keep up with the accumulated condensation therfore the water will accumulate forcing the unit to stop cooling or you have to turn on the pump setting. It's a setting you actually physically have to turn on, it's not automatic. There are other videos where people were struggling with it and trying to drill out the fitting that you put the hose on to get it to flow more easily, not realizing they were supposed to change the setting.
I’ve been looking at this since the og dropped. I may have to pull the trigger on this one. I have the river 2 pro and og delta mini and 220 watt bifacial panel. Should work well on sunny days and just last hour or 2 at night I believe
Having both the Zero Breeze Mark2 and Wave1 in my possession, I have thoroughly assessed their performance and, based on the video I watched, I firmly believe that the Mark2 remains the most suitable option for my outdoor activities. Regrettably, the Wave2 model has limitations in terms of power source compatibility, as it exclusively relies on Ecoflow's proprietary battery and power storage system. This restriction proves to be quite frustrating as it prevents me from utilizing power storage and battery systems from other brands that I own. Additionally, the connection cable between the air conditioner and the battery is noticeably unwieldy and easily misplaced, unlike the ZB Mark2, which can be conveniently positioned between the front seats. Moreover, I am well-informed about the quality concerns associated with the Wave1, including fan axle breakage and display failures, which understandably worry users. The unpredictability of when these issues might arise adds to the overall concern. Unfortunately, Ecoflow has not shared any specific information about the measures taken to address these problems with the Wave2 during this period. Hence, I find myself unsure whether the Wave2 has truly rectified these issues or not.
Does the wave 2 solar input or ac input , charge the delta 2 max in addition of the 1000w pv1 and pv2 ? So technically Does the wave 2 add an additional pv3 (limited to 400w) for a total of 1400w solar input And simultaneously discharged the battery for the wave 2 load? I doubt but it would be nice. Can the wave 2 be plug on only a delta 2 max extra battery without the delta 2 max and act as a battery charger with solar /Ac input ?
I assume the release on the drain tube is so that you can do the fiddly connection of the tube itself only once and then remove the clip part including the attached tube when you want to take the tube off.
It also seals the hole when you remove the tube attachment so you can use it without the tubing attached. If the ambient humidity is low enough it's not needed according to ecoflow.
@@Neodymium5312 I don’t think it seals the hole. The manual says to remove this piece to be able to completely drain the tray inside, which wouldn’t be possible if it closes the hole. I think there is an electronic valve or maybe a small pump inside to control the drain free mode.

Silly question I'm sure. I saw on another video where someone put it in a camper and he only vented the top hose. So the very back vent he didn't use. Just wondering if thats ok to do?
I bought mine and found out the unit is much louder in heat mode than in chilling mode. Did you notice the same? Granted it’s winter now and can’t properly test cooling

Have you tried it in your vehicle to keep Brooklyn (HI Brooklyn) cool while you are out of the vehicle while at your favorite big box store? We are thinking of trying to keep our black lab (Oreo) cool while we are in a restaurant while on vacation this summer. We have always just kept the engine running with AC on but this new truck shuts off after 20 minutes. Not enough time for a sit down restaurant.
Is anyone 'techy" enough to look at the internal design of this unit and comment on the most likely dehumidification capacity? I am looking at a 5,000 btu portable air conditioner from Midea which, in 'dry mode', also removes 22 Liters/day of water at 86 Fahrenheit and 80% relative humidity. I'm wondering what the Wave 2 can do. An email to Ecoflow only got this response: "The WAVE 2 does not have a separate dehumidification mode. But the dehumidification function can be realized to a certain extent when the drain-free function is turned off and the external drainage is started. Therefore, we do not have the specs regarding the dehumidification function." I KNOW there are plenty of UA-camRS who can do better than that! Opinions? THANKS!!!
They don’t state that on the website they say eight hours on Eco mode, but that would be just fan to my knowledge it wouldn’t even be cold air. Nothing stated about heat run times
Okay, thanks for the speedy reply. I appreciate it. I'm trying to find a power station and space heater to use in my truck. Any recommendations? I was going for the Ryobi 1800 which is what ultimately led me to your channel. After seeing the tests I'm worried I won't be able to achieve more than an hour or so of heat. The lowest watt heater I found is 400watts. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
@VrillonX my only tip for you is just make sure you get something that is lithium iron phosphate That’s gonna make the battery last a whole lot longer as long as you maintain it correctly
I have the Delta 2 max 1600 connected to the Wave 2 via the xt150, but the wave 2 doesn't blow any air. The Wave shows that it is on..but no air comes out. What am I doing wrong?!?
The new update kind of screwed it up, if you have the battery connected and also connected to AC it will use the battery then it switches to AC it charges the battery and then back again annoying I’d say. Before the update it ran on AC and for whatever reason if AC stopped the battery will take over automatically.

Why do you need to have an intake duct running outside? Why not just skip that duct and have it pull inside air from the rear ?

The last unit ran off of a car charger, but only on Eco mode. I’m not sure that it can run on solar by itself with no battery.
It only charges the battery, and without the battery the fan is the only function that comes on.

My wave 2 broke on the 2nd time I used it. Ecoflows customer service is the worst humanly possible. Save your money this thing is total trash.
