That is so cool. I got into the industry 20 years ago. Heat pumps were not capable of such portable use. I want to buy it just to take it apart. Im guessing there just using a reversing valve to turn the evaporator into the condensor. I an a navy heating and cooling tec, pastence. Retired. Cool stuff dude

haha, I just watched Teddy review this exact same unit. Nice that you both got a new sponsor at the same time. Not sure I would need an airconditioner while I am off grid, but if I did then this would be the unit I would choose. Thanks for the info!

Can you please do a test comparing temperature, air flow, and consumption to the wave 1?

I happen to own both the Zero Breeze Mark2 and Wave1 models, and after watching the video, I firmly believe that the Mark2 remains the superior choice for my outdoor activities. The Wave2, unfortunately, has limited compatibility as it can only be powered by Ecoflow's proprietary battery and power storage system. This restriction means I cannot utilize my power storage and battery systems from other brands, which is quite frustrating. Moreover, the connection cable between the air conditioner and the battery is excessively bulky and prone to being misplaced. Unlike the ZB Mark2, it cannot be conveniently placed between the front seats.
Furthermore, I am well aware of the quality concerns associated with the Wave1, such as fan axle breakage and display malfunctions. These issues have been a cause for worry among users, and it's difficult to anticipate when such problems might arise. Unfortunately, Ecoflow has not communicated any information regarding improvements or measures taken to address these issues with the Wave2 during this period, leaving me uncertain about the extent to which these problems have been resolved.

Both the wave 1 and 2 can be powered off 110v like the zero breeze. The wave 2 has twice the cooling BTU of the zb2. If the zb2 works for you that's great but there are substantial performance differences between the two.

I haven't bought it yet, I also think after watching a lot of videos that ZERO BREEZE would be a better fit for me because of it's light weight!

If only it collected and dispensed drinking water from the condensate I’d be a buyer for long term camping/emergencies. It needs a remote thermostat also apparently.

Being a a/c tec, that majored in thermal dynamics. Um bacteria and other contamination like natural yeast, mold and pollution, I would not suggest that. I'd be most worried about the mold. Black mold. With indoor use you could throw in dander, and chemicals that evaporate during the cleaning of floors, don't do that.

This is really cool, and was an awesome review. I’m not clear about the need for venting, though. If you were using the A/C to cool your van, you’d have to figure out a way to vent to the outside?

Wave 2 is IPX4 rated. An IPX4 rating as a minimum means Wave 2 can survive certain (less severe) outdoor conditions such as rain.

I'm torn between this and the zero breeze for teardrop/rtt. It's my wife's only request for camping in the summer

check the cooling BTU between the two and that should make your decision easy

I wouldn't use any kind of spray like lysol or after shave bleach. The evaporator is made of such thin aluminum that acids will burn through the metal. Id clean tge coil at least 2 thines a year. If its not filtering the air pasing over that coil fir sure 2 times a year... the evaporator if it don't evaporate, its not good.

With a weight of nearly 50lbs when connected to the battery, Wave2 is not portable at all for outdoor use. Therefore, I don't consider it a truly portable air conditioner. Seeing in the video that the battery cannot be charged separately adds to its bulkiness. Clearly, Wave2 is not the best choice for an outdoor air conditioner. Why would someone spend almost $2000 on an air conditioner that cannot be conveniently used on the go?
Regarding Wave2, I am aware of issues like inadequate cooling and water leakage. Wave2 is a very expensive product, and I often see people sharing and asking about these problems. I'm not sure if Ecoflow has truly resolved these issues, but if they haven't, it would make me feel that the money spent on it is not worth it at all.

What are your thoughts on the Wave 2 after a couple months to use it? Many are reporting it doesn't cool near as well as the Wave 1. What is an example of an outside temperature and how much can it drop your office without help from your main HVAC?
