I was born Catholic but I was not a practicing one to say the least. I also heard the atrocities they did in my country such as martyring our national heroes and corruption all throughout. So what happened was when I gave my life to Jesus Christ, I abandoned the Catholic religion and for 13 years I never looked back.
I was baptised as a baby into catholicism and got all my Sacraments and I knew nothing about Jesus other than He Died on the Cross and I had No Relationship with Him 😞 it was always Mary and say prayers to mary to forgive your sins after confessing to a priest, i felt so weird doing this my spirit was definitely not liking it. I once worked with a lady who went to Catholic church. Praise God she heard the gospel and came out of the Catholic church but it amazes me the number of Christians that believe there's nothing wrong with Catholicism!
I had to leave my fiancé last week because he was a Roman Catholic and I’m STRUGGLING. The Lord was so merciful and patient with me… we almost got married but by the GRACE of God, His Holy Spirit stopped me and protected me. I am still having a hard time but I TRUST God with my eternal salvation so I shall trust my Savior here on earth. Please pray God opens his eyes like he did with Saul/Paul. ❤️❤️
You did the right thing. I was engaged to a devout Catholic but the Lord led me out of that relationship. You would have been miserable, can’t be unequally yoked. It would have made your marriage very difficult.
I went to a catholic church for a memorial service for a family friend tbh I was very very uncomfortable being in the catholic church. Catholic church don't believe in God the way a pesbitarain believes . They think Mary is God which is very disrespectful to God .Mary is the mother of jesus .Jesus is the son of God . I can tell you exactly why a lot of people are flocking to the Eastern Orthodox or the Catholic church. It is because everywhere you turn, everywhere you look there is a different denomination and within the denominations they don't even agree with each other. There's a million different interpretations of the same exact Bible passage. It's frustrating to want to know God and to want to know Jesus and to have different answers everywhere you look. There's charismaniacs saying Christians can be possessed by demons so you need deliverance. Some Calvinists say everything that happens is determined by the will of God. Some Pentecostals say you're not saved unless you speak in tongues. It's craziness, it's pandemonium. Why wouldn't people go where they have definitive answers? Where they have traditions that go back? Don't get me wrong. I think Rick Warren is absolutely a false teacher. But in a way that kind of proves my point. He's so obviously a false teacher and yet so many people follow him. You have Mike Todd who's a horrible false teacher and many people follow him. You have Steven furtick you have Benny Hinn you have people absolutely destroying anybody's faith in finding a good church to go to. What on Earth are we supposed to do? It's absolutely insane. And it's so sad. So I'm not surprised.
I agree with you on the confusion of the masses with so many false teachers and different doctrines on every corner. Access to confusion abounds since the internet. I’ve seen it trying to rear its ugly head in my own Bible believing church. One thing I do know is the word of God, the Bible, is where I try to keep my eye focused. And prayer. Otherwise, it’s easy for even the most devout Christian follower to get confused.

Sameness of thought, samness of teaching at the same time all around the world, collective recitals & singing, structure, pomp & decor for high holidays, rituals, lots of 'doing'...People like that... it makes them feel safe and connected. It's very alluring! But once you fall in love with Jesus....all of it...and none of it...matters!

I had a feeling that candence was going to convert to Catholicism because last November on thanksgiving she say she was was thankful for Catholic Church that her husband is catholic and he is a such great men because of that religion. I knew, she was eventually going to convert. However, Candence to me was not a Christian, she is smart lady but not wise…Very prideful lady…

Catholics are so hard to talk to about their faith. When I share any part of the Gospel all I hear is the Catholic Church is the true, Peter was the 1st Pope, if it wasn’t for the Catholics there would be no Bible, etc, etc. I had a conversation with my Catholic neighbour and I explained to him why I am saved through faith alone and he just laughed. He thought that idea was funny because Catholics are taught that their salvation is not assured according to the teachings of the Pope. That’s why Catholicism teaches about Purgatory. If you follow Roman Catholic teachings that say Grace + merit and Faith + works then no you are not saved. Grace is no longer Grace if you have to add something to God’s free gift of Salvation. If you think you need to work your way into Heaven then you have no true faith at all. Jesus paid the price for our sins. Nothing to add to Faith. Christ did it all. Believe in him alone and you shall be saved. Jesus said repent and believe .Where in scripture does it say believe in Jesus and work for your Salvation.

She was not a Christian when she married her husband. They agreed to marry a few days after meeting. Read her old blogs and you'll see she was new age: yoga, astro propulsion etc. Christians assumed that she was a Christian even discounting her own words: "I do not attend church." "I am not an evangelical Christian" She has a pattern of re-branding herself every couple of years. This year she's publishing a book on feminism, rebranding as a role model to girls and as a Catholic homemaker. May God help me to stop idolizing "conservative" celebrities.

I believe the Catholic Church has played a major role in leading people to fall away from the Lord intentionally. Because there is no Holy Spirit presence in those churches, people become agnostic or atheist and then turn their back on God because they already perceive him to be not real.

Haven't watched the full episode, but those who are Christians on this channel and in the comments if you believe these celebs are doomed or on the wrong path, please please please pray for them all to be saved and to be born again. Lets intercede for them so that they can have a real relationship with Christ and come out of the darkness and come into God's glorious light. We were no better than them and were also in darkness until the true gospel was revealed to us, let us be gracious and pray for those who are lost also.

I have a few precious friends who were raised Roman Catholic. They hold the concept of knowing Jesus above official Catholic dogma. They are genuinely saved. We all must remember to speak the truth in love to others.

Please realize that most of Eastern Europe, Italy, Spain and other countries were historically under exclusively Roman dogma for centuries. Of course there will be individuals from there who love Jesus and pray and even read their LV Bibles, in the privacy of their prayer closets, and ignore Roman dogma ; and they are kind loving people who put Jesus first and He is their One and Only. You can spot them by their fruits - so yes, there are saved Christians within the Roman system , but upon close inspection they are the exception not the rule. And from my experience, more prevalent among those who survived the nightmare of WW2 Europe where believers truly focused on the heart of the matter - JESUS - to the exclusion of dogma, rite, rituals, and legalism.

True, We are Saved (Justified) by Grace through Faith, not our own works. We also can't rule out what James said, Faith without works is Dead, being alone. Also Paul saying, show me thy Faith without thy works and I'll show you my Faith by my works. Rev 20:13 And the sea gave up the dead which were in it; and death and hell ( grave)delivered up the dead which were in them: and they were judged every man according to their works. Jesus said in Mathew 24:13 He who Endures to the End will be Saved.
@@bdwren So you can't save yourself by works (dirty rags), but you must do them to trully be saved. The book of 1st John was written so that "we may know we are saved." It says nothing of works but only belief in the gospel for salvation.
Love you two, really appreciate your approach to these very important topics, and the clarity you bring. I have spent the last 4-5 years looking at Catholicism as an Anglican (ordained in the CofE). Many reasons for this that I wont go into now. I have read so many Catholic books, watched 100’s of hours of UA-cam videos by Catholic apologists like the ones you mentioned, and what I will say is how attractive it is made to sound, especially in books and on screen, although its very different on the ground. There does seem to be a major push from the Catholic Church to undermine Protestantism, and to show how the Catholic Church is so beautiful, and true (there is truth). I have to say, it is very powerfully seductive. Very seductive! I would encourage you to turn again to this topic, the series you did on Catholicism was great, but this seduction is only going to increase, especially in the light of so many denominations (including my own) turning away from historically orthodox, biblical truth, and embracing the spirit of the world. One of my cousins is on his third marriage. This wife was/is a Catholic and he told me in order to marry her, he had to “join” the church/become a Catholic. 🤯🤯 I don’t know if he struggled with that at all. I doubt it. Our grandparents were devout Christians , but his parents never went to church on their own. He begrudgingly attends church with this new wife. So I know he didn’t join the church bc of “faith” but just so he could marry her. So sad…SMH
Something really bothered me about Candace Owens. She said she was going to raise her children conservatively. I thought “Don’t you want to raise your children to love Christ?” Conservative values are good but they need to know Jesus and go to heaven.

I was raised Catholic and we were taught to do certain things that when God started calling me to serve Him I started to question... In a nutshell when God gave me revelation about the demonic things being practiced in the church I told my mom "I'm done with your church" when I explained to her why she also left the Catholic church... Her side of the family was extremely disappointed that we left the church as I was one of the lead singers in the music ministry... God placed us in a house where we have been taught properly, prayed for, baptized in water and in the spirit and my heart breaks daily for my family who will not even begin to try and understand why we left

I feel the same way about protestants (even though I am one). We go to the "church fathers" like the catholics go to the pope; instead of going to the Lord. Those "fathers" have as many opposing views as the popes. Heresy creeps in, and eventually we get to the very apostasy that brings in the antichrist. James 1 says to ask the Lord for wisdom - who gives to all men generously and without reproach. After all He wrote the Book. Seminary is nothing more than split opinions and factions of "scholars" who look to church fathers instead of the Lord. That's why we are where we are.

About 15 years ago, I took communion in a catholic church with my new husband, who was raised catholic, although he wasn't really practicing. Hubby was drinking and generally ruining my life, being abusive, etc. i was already very angry and beat down, and taking communion in that place was an act of rebellion and mockery in mind, because i knew all about them. I begged God for forgiveness, as i feel awful about doing this. I left the man for good 5 years ago, and pray for him. But, I'm worried that I offended Him and am not sure I'm forgiven...😔 My mental health is good since getting away from my abuser.
Sometimes we can do something so horrible that deep down we think it's unforgivable. You seem sincere and remorseful. Trust our mighty Savior to forgive you. You might want to pick up a copy of the Jerry Bridges book called Trusting God. He says it better than I can, and there is a section in the back that will get you into Scripture. Hang in there.

You need to believe the true gospel and be born again and indwelled by the Holy Spirit to see God’s kingdom, and that will never happen as long as you believe the false gospel of your own works saving you, the false gospel taught by the pagan harlot Church of Rome that says you’re saved by works and sacraments, a complete L l E.

One thing I will say about Catholics are that they are very well organized and funded. It’s hard to compete with that kind of force in the digital arena. After a while Catholics haven’t had a very solid retention rate recently even though their recruitment is high. Keep praying for them and keep reaching out to your catholic friends and family
I haven’t followed Candace in a while, but her saying you can’t be Protestant unless you believe no one was saved before Martin Luther shows how little she understands about the history of Christianity. I’ve been a southern Baptist for over 20 years and never once heard anyone make this claim about Protestants until she said it on her Daily Wire show a while back. She may be right on many political and cultural matters but she has a ton to learn about Christianity and should not be regarded as a source of valid information on the subject until she’s had a lot more time to learn and grow in her own walk with Christ. It’s definitely no basis for becoming a Catholic. I respect that she’s following her husband’s influence but again, she shouldn’t be trusted as a source on Christianity until she’s matured more in her faith.

Yep. I was raised in the Church of Christ from pre-school through 6th grade. I was absolutely biblically illiterate. They would not preach the WHOLE BIBLE. And, they believe baptism saves you. Praise God my husband showed me a John Macarthur sermon from grace to you. It was like a lightning strike. I am so radically transformed that my entire family doesn't even know me anymore. There are so many of them who have produced some of the greatest Christian teaching ever taught. Who would have thought that they would have such a short shelf-life? When I was converted, at age 16, I worshipped at a Reformed Church which was part of the FIEC [Fellowship of Independent Evangelical Churches], so I was 'brought up' on this type of Christian literature. Although my husband and I later attended an AOG church for many years, neither of us ever lost our love of reading these books. So it was so refreshing to hear you mention the Bishop.

I can tell you exactly why a lot of people are flocking to the Eastern Orthodox or the Catholic church. It is because everywhere you turn, everywhere you look there is a different denomination and within the denominations they don't even agree with each other. There's a million different interpretations of the same exact Bible passage. It's frustrating to want to know God and to want to know Jesus and to have different answers everywhere you look. There's charismaniacs saying Christians can be possessed by demons so you need deliverance. Some Calvinists say everything that happens is determined by the will of God. Some Pentecostals say you're not saved unless you speak in tongues. It's craziness, it's pandemonium. Why wouldn't people go where they have definitive answers? Where they have traditions that go back? Don't get me wrong. I think Rick Warren is absolutely a false teacher. But in a way that kind of proves my point. He's so obviously a false teacher and yet so many people follow him. You have Mike Todd who's a horrible false teacher and many people follow him. You have Steven furtick you have Benny Hinn you have people absolutely destroying anybody's faith in finding a good church to go to. What on Earth are we supposed to do? It's absolutely insane. And it's so sad. So I'm not surprised.

I’ve seen it trying to rear its ugly head in my own Bible believing church. One thing I do know is the word of God, the Bible, is where I try to keep my eye focused. And prayer. Catholics are so hard to talk to about their faith. When I share any part of the Gospel all I hear is the Catholic Church is the true, Peter was the 1st Pope, if it wasn’t for the Catholics there would be no Bible, etc, etc.
I had a conversation with my Catholic neighbour and I explained to him why I am saved through faith alone and he just laughed. He thought that idea was funny because Catholics are taught that their salvation is not assured according to the teachings of the Pope. That’s why Catholicism teaches about Purgatory.
If you follow Roman Catholic teachings that say Grace + merit and Faith + works then no you are not saved. Grace is no longer Grace if you have to add something to God’s free gift of Salvation. If you think you need to work your way into Heaven then you have no true faith at all. Jesus paid the price for our sins. Nothing to add to Faith. Christ did it all. Believe in him alone and you shall be saved. Jesus said repent and believe .Where in scripture does it say believe in Jesus and work for your Salvation.

I believe the Catholic Church has played a major role in leading people to fall away from the Lord intentionally. Because there is no Holy Spirit presence in those churches, people become agnostic or atheist and then turn their back on God because they already perceive him to be not real.

Please realize that most of Eastern Europe, Italy, Spain and other countries were historically under exclusively Roman dogma for centuries. Of course there will be individuals from there who love Jesus and pray and even read their LV Bibles, in the privacy of their prayer closets, and ignore Roman dogma ; and they are kind loving people who put Jesus first and He is their One and Only. You can spot them by their fruits - so yes, there are saved Christians within the Roman system , but upon close inspection they are the exception not the rule. And from my experience, more prevalent among those who survived the nightmare of WW2 Europe where believers truly focused on the heart of the matter - JESUS - to the exclusion of dogma, rite, rituals, and legalism.

Also Paul saying, show me thy Faith without thy works and I'll show you my Faith by my works. Rev 20:13 And the sea gave up the dead which were in it; and death and hell ( grave)delivered up the dead which were in them: and they were judged every man according to their works. Jesus said in Mathew 24:13 He who Endures to the End will be Saved.

Love you two, really appreciate your approach to these very important topics, and the clarity you bring. I have spent the last 4-5 years looking at Catholicism as an Anglican (ordained in the CofE). Many reasons for this that I wont go into now. I have read so many Catholic books, watched 100’s of hours of UA-cam videos by Catholic apologists like the ones you mentioned, and what I will say is how attractive it is made to sound, especially in books and on screen, although its very different on the ground. There does seem to be a major push from the Catholic Church to undermine Protestantism, and to show how the Catholic Church is so beautiful, and true (there is truth). I have to say, it is very powerfully seductive. Very seductive! I would encourage you to turn again to this topic, the series you did on Catholicism was great, but this seduction is only going to increase, especially in the light of so many denominations (including my own) turning away from historically orthodox, biblical truth, and embracing the spirit of the world. I was raised Catholic and we were taught to do certain things that when God started calling me to serve Him I started to question... In a nutshell when God gave me revelation about the demonic things being practiced in the church I told my mom "I'm done with your church" when I explained to her why she also left the Catholic church... Her side of the family was extremely disappointed that we left the church as I was one of the lead singers in the music ministry... God placed us in a house where we have been taught properly, prayed for, baptized in water and in the spirit and my heart breaks daily for my family who will not even begin to try and understand why we left

I feel the same way about protestants (even though I am one). We go to the "church fathers" like the catholics go to the pope; instead of going to the Lord. Those "fathers" have as many opposing views as the popes. Heresy creeps in, and eventually we get to the very apostasy that brings in the antichrist. James 1 says to ask the Lord for wisdom - who gives to all men generously and without reproach. After all He wrote the Book.

About 15 years ago, I took communion in a catholic church with my new husband, who was raised catholic, although he wasn't really practicing. I begged God for forgiveness, as i feel awful about doing this.

You might want to pick up a copy of the Jerry Bridges book called Trusting God. He says it better than I can, and there is a section in the back that will get you into Scripture. Hang in there.

One thing I will say about Catholics are that they are very well organized and funded. It’s hard to compete with that kind of force in the digital arena. After a while Catholics haven’t had a very solid retention rate recently even though their recruitment is high. Keep praying for them and keep reaching out to your catholic friends and family

I haven’t followed Candace in a while, but her saying you can’t be Protestant unless you believe no one was saved before Martin Luther shows how little she understands about the history of Christianity. I’ve been a southern Baptist for over 20 years and never once heard anyone make this claim about Protestants until she said it on her Daily Wire show a while back. She may be right on many political and cultural matters but she has a ton to learn about Christianity and should not be regarded as a source of valid information on the subject until she’s had a lot more time to learn and grow in her own walk with Christ. It’s definitely no basis for becoming a Catholic. I respect that she’s following her husband’s influence but again, she shouldn’t be trusted as a source on Christianity until she’s matured more in her faith.

Jesus said that he's the only way to the Father. That doesn't mean someone else can't help lead someone to Jesus. Say you took your friend to Bible study, you're helping lead your friend to Jesus...your guardian angel can lead you to Jesus, your friend can, Mary (the woman from Revelations with the crown and Jesus' mother can), and it doesn't take away from Jesus' or God the Father's glory. It's not an either or...it's a both.

A woman Ive known all of my life was introduced to yoga at the Catholic school she went to. She now teaches yoga, and she also believes she talks to the dead. It's the great comforter so I was kicked out of and the members of the church will tell him not to talk to me ever.

Yep. I was raised in the Church of Christ from pre-school through 6th grade. I was absolutely biblically illiterate. They would not preach the WHOLE BIBLE. And, they believe baptism saves you. Praise God my husband showed me a John Macarthur sermon from grace to you. It was like a lightning strike. I am so radically transformed that my entire family doesn't even know me anymore. Thank you dear Lord for pulling me out of the pit of sin into His wondrous light. My best friend is pentecostal. My one brother and my Dad are Roman Catholic. And my other brother said he's most close to being Buddist. So, I have witnessed to them all and pray daily that God transforms them the way He did for me. The Catholic church is the largest and most dangerous of the cults. If we do not read the scripture for ourselves we will be tossed to and fro and be easily deceived. Even my 14 year old son is wise enough to know that Chris Pratt is not a true Christian. He knows "you will know them by their fruit." I think these celebrities go into catholicism because there is a built in spirit of power there already, be your own gods, I can do whatever I want, pay my penance, say my hail Mary's, and get to pose with the Pope, and say look at me, I'm such a family man and so spiritual, all while living a wicked life. Joe, I love JC Ryle, Spurgeon and so many other great men of God whose writings are now so rarely read. There are so many of them who have produced some of the greatest Christian teaching ever taught. Who would have thought that they would have such a short shelf-life? When I was converted, at age 16, I worshipped at a Reformed Church which was part of the FIEC [Fellowship of Independent Evangelical Churches], so I was 'brought up' on this type of Christian literature. Although my husband and I later attended an AOG church for many years, neither of us ever lost our love of reading these books. So it was so refreshing to hear you mention the Bishop.
