Pangumagat Festival 2024. Balud, Masbate.

We travelled by air, then land, then sea, then land again to witness one of the most authentic, most colorful festivals in the Philippines that pays tribute to farmers and fishermen.
PANGUMAGAT FESTIVAL in Balud, Masbate is the municipal festival that pays homage to the town's rich cultural and industrial heritage of farming (panguma) and fishing (panagat) whom sustainably enrich Balud's economy and development. Every 3rd weekend of April every year, the Baludeños pay tribute to all the fisherfolks and farmers whom have resiliently stood up for Balud's economic sufficiency.
It's a festival that showcases local talents, artistry, dedication and unity in bringing out the best in each Baludeño in performances that can rival the leading festivals in the country.
