Centro de Turismo Intramuros + Museo de Intramuros. From the Ruins of San Ignacio de Loyola Church
There's a new attraction in Intramuros, and it's called Centro Turismo de Intramuros. It is designed as the "first stop" in the Intramuros tour.
Built on the ruins of the San Ignacio de Loyola Church, it features an indoor amphitheater and contains exhibits on Intramuros, from Pre-Colonial to Spanish period to American occupation to World War II period to post-war.
San Ignacio Church was designed for the Jesuits by architect Félix Roxas Sr., and was completed in 1899. The wooden interior and statuary were designed and executed by Isabelo Tampinco. Unfortunately, the church was destroyed during the Battle of Manila in 1945. It continuously burned for four days because of the heavy use of good local hardwood.
Besides the church, the headquarters of the Philippine Jesuit Mission (Casa Misión) was spared, though partially damaged. It has now been converted into Museo de Intramuros now houses the vast ecclesiastical collection of the Intramuros Administration.
Both the Centro de Turismo Intramuros and the Museo de Intramuros are re-opening on Novermber 26th, 2024.
We are fortunate to see the preview a few days earlier and we are happy to share them with you.

The LRT Line 1 (Cavite) Extension Phase 1 is finally open to the public on November 16, 2024 and we simply have to be there to experience this modern mode of transportation. It took almost 40 years for LRT to "almost" reach Cavite. I say "almost" because it will probably take more than 5 years for LRT to reach Bacoor, but we are just glad that 5 new stations have been added for the convenience ...

yes pwede isakay ang wheelchairs sa loob na LRT1. me provisions sa unang bagon. the new stations also have ramps for wheelchairs, elevators and escalators.
@josephbautista4401 Salamat po, isa pa long katanungan.

pamasahe to butuan is about 2k to 3k. regarding motorcycle, hindi included sa 50kg free luggage allowance so I suggest that you contact their customer service to inquire about the cost.
Thanks for sharing this video. I just wish they vendo machine, convenient stores or kiosk for food and drinks
food and drinks are not allowed inside the trains. perhaps the lack of vendo machines and food kiosks was deliberate to prevent people from bringing food and drinks inside.
You should not compairing NAIA and CIA because it was built in different times. NAIA has it's own beauty during it's prime time. You are like compairing the beauty of a blooming lady to an old lady. Of course, CIA will be more beautiful now but after several decades, are you sure that it will still be beautiful? Compare it to other airports that also build in its time. Not a pleasant review.
thank you for your comments.
Exactly, and NAIA 1 was architected by THE LEANDRO V. LOCSIN (Who is like the Zaha Hadid of the Philippines in pioneering Filipino Architecture such as CCP complex, Folk Arts Theater,PICC, Mandarin Oriental, Sofitel (Partly) , Benguet Mining Bldg, Parish of the Holy Sacrfice church in UP Diliman, National Arts Center etc. ).
@juanchoresultay2704 thanks for this info. I am now confident that San Miguel will do a good job in rehabilitating NAIA
Sa terminal 1 po kmi international flight po
Option 1: Baba PITX Station then take UBE Airport Bus which goes to T1, T2, T3 (445am to 8pm, P150) Option 2: Baba Ninoy Aquino Station then take Jeep bound for Baclaran then baba T1
Dapat may LRT line galing bahay mo papuntang Dr. Santos station. Kawawang Pinas '24!
I believe they have maintenance naman.

Yes, terminal only. But soon they plan to open the second runway when the passenger volume increases.
Yung other station sa Las Pinas and Baccor will never happen. Hinaharang ng mga Villar yung right of way, gusto nilang ipalihis yung mga rilis para madaanan yung mga properties nila.
Senators Cynthia and Mark were at the opening. I'm sure they heard about the President's call. Hehe

next project to look forward to is the common station in Trinoma. that will be the northern exchange.

Dang, there’s no footbridge or pedestrian lane crossing from SM Sucat to the LRT station. It looks like an oversight in the development. It’s not only going to cause temporary traffic slowdowns but also potential accidents.
hopefully, they will fix that soon. same with accessibility with other stations
I'm hoping so as well. That would definitely make me take the train rather than bring my car. I live at SMDC Field Residences, so this is a good initiative from the government

It will better when the New Manila International Airport in Bulacan is completed, it's about the size of Paris Charles de Gaulle Airport in Roissy, France 🇫🇷 it has 4 parallel runways allowing simultaneous take offs and landings and with new connecting expressways and a railway link.
@dennis12dec yes, this will be the premier PH airport. NAIA will be like Haneda, while Clark will focus more on Cargo.
Contractors involved in Manila LRT Cavite extension RATP Group, a transport operator, was selected as the technical partner for LRMC. LRMC awarded a €450m ($501m) contract to Alstom Transport and Bouygues Travaux Publics to provide an integrated metro solution for the extension project in February 2016. The contractual scope includes provision for signalling and communication system and traction power supply. It also includes track work on the extended line, construction of a new depot and extension of the existing depot. Alstom will install Atlas 100 on-board signalling solution for 60 trains and renovate the existing signalling system of Line 1. Bouygues Travaux Publics is the engineering, procurement, and construction (EPC) contractor for the project. SYSTRA, an engineering and consulting company, provided the detailed design of the viaduct and structures of the LRT-1 Cavite Extension.

Hello sir, kmusta po? Is there any way/the best way to have a connection between LRT L1 to NAIA?
Here how you can get to NAIA: From Redemptorist Station, cross the overpass going to Baclaran, then take the Nichols Jeepney to T3. From MIA Station, walk to MIA Road-Quirino Avenue Crossing then take the San Dionisio Coop Modern PUVs bound for BALTAO. This goes to T2 and then T2. From Ninoy Aquino Ave Station, you can take the Baclaran-bound Jeepneys and alight in front of T1. From PITX Station, there's an UBE Airport Express Bus that goes to T1, T2 and T3
