Time at the drums does not equal greatness. It's all about natural talent when it comes to songs like this...plus a big dose of music theory and study. These performances don't come from nothing.

I have a 14 year old son that hates when i play RUSH. I am pretty sure his friends have no idea who RUSH even is! The kids today have no idea what music is. I guess that officially makes me an old fart but I will always appreciate a person that can play an instrument or sing. Now get off my lawn!
The kids who don't have their parents show them what music is are the ones who don't listen to the same music as people who are into the legends if rock, I myself was lucky to have parents who showed me the amazing side to music that got me into guitar and also playing rush but some don't have that opportunity
You're a killer drummer for sure but what I love most about you is that you're not a poser. When you play you focus on your playing. I'm sick and tired of drummers on Instagram and Tiktok posing and flirting with the camera while they play. It's horrible. You're a breath of fresh air. Nailed this btw 👌🏼

@@maddawgnoll But I wasn't too far off. Outside work. Getting up with the sun. Me being an owl, definately not for me. My work day begins at 10 a.m. and can last until 11 p.m. at times. I get up at 9 a.m. and go to bed sometime between 1 and 2 a.m. So getting up as early as you is definately not and option. And Saturdays and Sundays are off days for most people, so sleeping in is not a thing unheard of. ;)

I don't see how anyone can hate on this. You have to have great appreciation for Neil Peart to sit down and decipher one of his greatest songs and then replicate it on the drums. She made it look way too easy but even still she shows respect so therefore deserves respect.

Its just another one of those "I do my own thing covers" which means in reality, I was too lazy to listen and learn the real parts. She plays the ride pattern thing wrong too where it's missing the snare ghost notes with the ride triplets. No doubt she's good, but this cover is about 80% there.
