    Thank you for making this so clear for us all. I’m quilting on my Wards Signature White sewing machine(circa 1967) and so far everything is working well. Thank you again.

    I just practiced the designs in the first dot to dot video. I love quilting with rulers and this is so easy. Thanks for providing such awesome instructions.

    Thank you for this fab new series Angela - you make long arm quilting so do-able by simplifying and breaking down each pattern into a number of lines of sewing. Your templates and approach have really helped with my long arm journey.

    SO looking forward to this challenge. Thank you for sharing your knowledge of quilting with all of us. I've been watching you for several years and always enjoy your videos. Would you suggest that I quilt around the black outlines to stabilize the quilt layers?

    Do you think you might consider doing a block of the month quilt, something quick and easy? Also a quilt in a day or even a quilt in a week or month, something for those of us who have lots and lots of material to get used up?

    The expanded resource materials are missing most of the page numbers. Please be sure to include them in the future. They are so helpful. I keep them in a notebook but take out separate pages to keep close for reference, and it can be really tough to put them back into the notebook in proper order. They have been a great help in other quilting projects. I am so excited to get started on this FMQ Challenge.

    Thank you so much!!! Just finished the video and excited to get started. Could explain a little bit about the thread colors that came with the panel?? Like how to go from one color to another??

  • @dancingnana4900

    Glad to get started. Can you comment on thread color. I purchased the thread collection for the panel. Suggestions for how to transition thread colors and select best bobbin color(s) would be appreciated.

    Thank you Angela. I still am excited to get going on this but have developed a small tear in my bicep. I am hopeful that complete rest will help me avoid surgery. Will these videos always be available? I just can’t start right now.

    When you refer to medium and large size blocks… what sizes would that be, roughly? 6 “ and above or ..?

    • @AngelaWaltersfmq
      @AngelaWaltersfmq  6 місяців тому +1

      Yep, in my mind small size blocks are 5" or less, medium size up to 10" and large is anything beyond that. But that's just my opinion lol!!

    What bothers me is that when you join those beautiful diamonds you will have to sew over those points, those extra-ordinary amazing points. Please tell us how to preserve those points!

    It looks like you have stitched all around the borders of the square before you began the design itself. Yes? If so, why?

    • @lexitejeda6209

      Those might be traveling lines.

      Or they could be for stabilizing the whole thing to begin with.

    I’m trying to free motion on Brother PQ 1500 cotton top batting n fleece bottom, cotton thread . My stitches keep skipping 😩😩ripped out for days now😤 changed needle rethreaded changed thread adjusted top tension knob . Please any suggestions??? Turning to expert quilter I’m frustrated w this n need to get quilt finished it was for Christmas gift 🙄🥺

    • @denisemead764
      @denisemead764 6 місяців тому +1

      With fleece I would use poly thread not cotton. Make sure bobbin is inserted correctly, and check machine timing is still okay.

    • @AngelaWaltersfmq
      @AngelaWaltersfmq  6 місяців тому +2

      I'm sorry, that can be so frustrating. Make sure your quilting foot isn't too high. If you can adjust it, try lowering it a bit and see if that helps.

    • @denisemead764
      @denisemead764 6 місяців тому

      Also could try a larger needle.

    Struggling with the diamond divided in half, then quilted. Something about it screws with my brain
