I saw Joe in Miami at the Metro zoo and he was such a cool guy. Everything you might think. Humble, funny, down to earth.. He tosed a pick into the crowd but it didn't clear this 15 ft. fence. I ran and climbed up, over and back between 2 cops and after they realized I wasn't trying to attack him they didn't bother me and I went home with a Joe Walsh guitar pick. Brown, medium, nylon. He and his band jammed !✌️❤️🎸🎶🙏

Best concert I ever experienced,was The Eagles,Hotel California tour with Jimmy Buffet in OKC OK. Concert started at 7:00pm ended at 1: 45 am. I counted 22 encores they literally wore us out and our lighters and our voices. It was awesome! 😊 Fine musicians in their prime loving what they do.The Bench Mark of live performances.Spoiled me for life on going to concerts and it was only 30 dollars.😊

As a limousine driver in Providence, Rhode Island, 1988, had the opportunity to drive Joe Walsh to a venue. He was the most talented , & respectful musician, had the privilege to chauffeur. He was on a solo mission, the other members of his group went into the venue. We sat outside, waiting for the proper grand entrance,as he sings in ( lifes been good ) “I locked the doors in my limo in case I’m attacked “ He was nervous. We were waiting in the front of the venue when he instructed me to drive around the corner where we wouldn’t be so obviously noticed , celebrity has its liabilities. nice man , unfortunately, cannot say that about all celebrities I chauffeured!

On every video of every guitar player from every band someone always says "so and so is an underrated guitar player". Joe Walsh is rated exactly where he should be. Nobody honestly thinks he's a bum on guitar. He's not the most technically proficient, but he wrote some amazing riffs. But so did hundreds of other guys. Joe Walsh wrote some of my favorite riffs to play. Every time someone asks me to play something my go-tos are Funk #49 or Life in the Fast Lane because they're awesome riffs you don't really hear people playing. But I don't consider him a guitar God but more of an amazing song writer.

He was on guitar center sessions back in 2014, and he said he knew he needed to clean up his life when he woke up on a jet plane landing at Charles de Gaulle airport in France with no money in his pocket no luggage and no memory of how he got there.
That will do it!!!! I woke up at 2:30 am in mid Janurary in my van, which was stuck in a snow bank on a road that I did not know!! Thatcwas a big wake up!!!!😊😅😢😢😢

I remember in the 80s my Uncle Mike pick me and my brother up we were eight and 10 went to McDonald’s got a shamrock shake and we are listening to life in the fast Lane and started laughing hard as hell and I spit that shake all over his dash and windshield and we laugh so hard that was in California back in the day actually San Diego I grew up in the military. I was the military brat. I just have so many good memories, listening to the Eagles.

I tapped into it with my acoustic, and it was a metaphysical experience for me. Joe Walsh is a god-damned genius. I kept playing it over, and over, and over. To the point of driving my friends nuts. Joe told a story about having a conversation with Don Henley, and Joe told Don about him playing Desperado (I think it was) on Howard Sterns radio show, and Henley was furious. Don Henley is a real tight-a$$ when it comes to playing ANY Eagles music where he doesn't get some form of "pay-off."
I was a freshman at Ithaca college in 1969. Roomies said I had to hear the James Gang live at a girls college about 45 miles north on the lake (Elmira I think). We jumped in my roomies van and headed to the concert in a raging snowstorm, all convinced it would be cancelled. Nope, it was on, and we had front row seats! I was mesmerized by drummer Jim Fox, the bass (I forgot the name), but I was amazed by Joe. He played the Bomber, and I could not believe the effects he was coaxing out of his LP. I was hooked for life. Got to see them at Live from Carnegie hall in a box seat! The dude is most awesome. I never got to see the eagles live, but the James Gang will live in my memory forever. Thanks Joe!
The first time I heard this song was in 1976 on a juke box in an arcade at the Hatteras Island motel in Rodanthe, NC. I was with my cousin on summer vacation with all the extended families. Such awesome memories.

Yeah there's like 3-4 good Eagles songs. Definitely an overrated band. Hotel California, Fast Lane, Rocky Mountain bout it. Joe had a couple good off But Seriously Folks album.

@@k.p.5736right? Walsh wrote this riff. It used to be a warm up exercise (like ‘Sweet Child Of Mine’ originally was) but one of the other members loved it so much they recommended making a song out of it.
Joe told a story about having a conversation with Don Henley, and Joe told Don about him playing Desperado (I think it was) on Howard Sterns radio show, and Henley was furious.
Don Henley is a real tight-a$$ when it comes to playing ANY Eagles music where he doesn't get some form of "pay-off."
I was a freshman at Ithaca college in 1969. Roomies said I had to hear the James Gang live at a girls college about 45 miles north on the lake (Elmira I think). We jumped in my roomies van and headed to the concert in a raging snowstorm, all convinced it would be cancelled. Nope, it was on, and we had front row seats! I was mesmerized by drummer Jim Fox, the bass (I forgot the name), but I was amazed by Joe. He played the Bomber, and I could not believe the effects he was coaxing out of his LP. I was hooked for life. Got to see them at Live from Carnegie hall in a box seat! The dude is most awesome. I never got to see the eagles live, but the James Gang will live in my memory forever. Thanks Joe!

The first time I heard this song was in 1976 on a juke box in an arcade at the Hatteras Island motel in Rodanthe, NC. I was with my cousin on summer vacation with all the extended families. Such awesome memories.

One of the best concerts I had seen up to that point. The only Rock concert that was ever played in Riverfront Stadium Cincinnati Ohio . I had the privilege of seeing Joe one time before he played with the Eagles, The James Gang.
