I read an interesting article by Sali Hughes in The Guardian before Christmas. She was writing in the context of anti ageing products and obviously she has no business relationship with a brand, but what she said was, assuming you have no problems, that a mid price range product from a long established brand like Nivea or Olay is as effective as any “cult” brand or cutting edge product. I thought this was a good point. Those companies have billions invested in their names, reputations and goodwill. Anything they put their label on is going to work reasonably well and is going to do no harm. If something goes wrong after using a premium price product only available online or from a handful of top price London outlets it will not attract massive attention and the promoters can tweak their formula and rebrand; for Nivea the damage would be colossal. So they are risk averse and will come to market with a good and effective product. Please understand Sali - and I in quoting her - are not knocking anyone. But for the overwhelming majority who are in that price range and living in small towns, it’s as well to remember that a very well known brand is not going to put its label on anything that is not tried, tested and very safe.
You have such great glowy skin! I take very good care of my skin as well and have loved to see your beauty routine! I usually get my facials done from the glo skin boutique in Long Island although it's quite far from home it does make the journey worth it! What parlor would you recommend in the London? as i am planning to move there this summer?
Great dupe for Kiehl's daily spf moisturizer is the la Roche posay prebiotic moisturizer with spf. I find the formula similar enough, doesn't look white, behaves wonderfully under makeup and it's cheaper!!!
The Josh Rosebrook Hydrating Accelerator is sooooo good. Saved my skin after flying 24 hours from Sydney to London, i arrived with glowy hydrated skin.
Hi Anna, where do you get the bamboo pads you use to take off your make up? Also why should you use vitamin c on your face, I am nearly 30 and need to know! Thanks.
Just read your newsletter! Literally you could not have been more on point with your timing. As a human that has never planned a long distance travel, this came as if it were from heaven. From the Caribbean and planning to go to Barcelona, any recommendations of places I just can't miss? Xx
Forget the Drunk Elephant Framboos, try the Paula's Choice 2% BHA Liquid Exfoliant instead. Goddamn, that product is so nice! Unlike the Framboos that burns the skin (especially if you have any type of wounds) the Paula's Choice BHA is so soothing. It doesn't burn and it feels very hydrating.
I got so confused at the end with the double outro, I thought "when the hell did I tap the screen to rewind? I didn't touch anything!?" 😂 P.S. At some point, when I finally wear down my shu uemura curlers, I have to order the the surrat ones.
I swear, I understood "toes" instead of "tools" like, three times and I was like "Uhm ok". And then you started talking about the eyelash curler and I was "Oooooh right" 😅
Always enjoy a long chatty favourites video. Best drinking game ever? Take a sip every time Anna says “like” I lost count at 180, luckily I was only drinking tea ☕️😛 I must try some more Zoeva brushes 😘
Loved this thank you for filming! Just a quick question, do you use steroid cream? I have pretty severe psoriasis and I find that I have to use some steroid cream to clear it up for 2 weeks then stick with emollient eczema creams both from the doctors on the patches I have it. Dermatologists always told me that when you have visible red flare ups, steroid cream is the only thing that can help. Hope that helps you if you didn’t already know ❤️ once it’s gone it’s much easier to keep it away too x
Anna, do you find that the bamboo reusable makeup remover pads are difficult to clean? I wash mine in the washing machine, sometimes multiple times, and still feel like it doesn't get rid of all the makeup residue. Any tips for that?
Same as Madeleine Piggott: I essentially do a pre-wash right after I use mine. I had a face wash laying around that I didn’t love and would have tossed otherwise, so it’s also been a good way to use that up.
the Nivea vitamin C night cream is AMAZING! feels so lightweight on the skin but it's just so hydrating too. I have very combination skin (extremely oily in parts and very dry in others) and it works well all over my face!
Love skincare favourites, always! I'm a recent subscriber and so far I'm loving all your content and your attitude towards makeup and skincare! 💕You said you're on the market for an eye cream - two I'd recommend are the Paula's Choice Resist Anti-aging gel, it's what actually got rid of the trying-to-form-there crow's feet (I'm almost 30 so alas, there they were), but I'm also enjoying the Inkey List caffeine eye cream, very nice and lightweight for the daytime!
Belif under eye cream is very nice eye cream as a slightly cheaper alternative to the ole Hendrickson one! Smells quite clean and lovely and just a little bit really hydrates the under eye to help minimize fine lines and longevity of makeup
I’m not very into vitamin c after using the Drunk Elephant one. I think it made my skin look good but the smell and texture were a bit much 😬 I tried the Clinique sachets and LOVED them.
Hi Anna! Fellow psoriasis sufferer right here! :) Didn't know that about you, I know that the ilness is so individual but it would be nice if you would share your routine, what did you find that helped you :)Have a nice Sunday! :)
Try that drunk elephant glycolic serum once a week at first, then up it to twice a week after a few months. There’s no rule that says you have to use it every day.
Hi Anna, I’d be careful with the Banana Bright eye cream. Readers of @esteelaundry beauty community on Instagram have been reporting horrible reactions to the cream which come after they’re been using it for months without problems. They posted about it recently.
Medik8 do a fabulous vit c serum, it’s and oil and gives such a stunning glow all day. I use it under Biores aqua riche spf and it’s wonderful for combination/dehydrated skin - my daily must whatever season!
Hey, gorgeous video, love your channel and your skin is stunning so you must be doing something right.. Im your newest subscriber.. I habe a skincare channel too and just did a video on drunk elephant so check it out and let me know what you think.. Xxx
Kiehl's is such a shit brand tbh. Chock-full of fragrant essential oils and if a product contains a hydrating ingredient, it's the most mediocre ingredient you can imagine. Not worth the hefty price tag at all. You're better off looking for a separate SPF on the Asian market
It's an honor to be caring for your beautiful skin! 💜
I honestly think you are one of the realist and nicest influencers. You seem so down to earth. I appreciate all your recommendations and trust you

I am a lot more interested in skincare than in makeup these days... I have waited for this video:) so thank you
Oh my, this grey turtleneck is made for you, Anna! 😍

Hi Anna! I was wondering, do you have any perfume favorites? I know that perfume is very personal, but I love finding new things to try! 😊
I always find it very helpful to hear that something remained a favorite :) no better proof that something is really great!
Great dupe for Kiehl's daily spf moisturizer is the la Roche posay prebiotic moisturizer with spf. I find the formula similar enough, doesn't look white, behaves wonderfully under makeup and it's cheaper!!!
Anna, I love the Shiseido benefiance eye cream. It's super moisturizing, brightening & I notice a difference when I use it vs. a different eye cream!
The Josh Rosebrook Hydrating Accelerator is sooooo good.

I feel like you’d love the Bobbi Brown Eye Cream! It’s so Hydrating and light and sits so well under makeup x
Love the edit on this and viewing all your previous favourites!
your jewelry pieces looks so beautiful ! idk if you ever did a jewelry video but i'd love to see them up close and maybe in a collection type video?

Thank you for sharing your beauty faves! Might check out some of them
Thanks Anna! I always enjoy and appreciate hearing what products and beauty tools you are liking.
What about perfumes 😩 !!!
Added to my ‘Watch later’, can’t wait to find the right time to settle in and watch this 😁

peaceoglory I switched from the Shu Uemura curler to the Surrat curler and love it so much more!!

“If you win the lottery?!” 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂 legit spilled tea on the floor .... love you babe !!!! 😅😅😅💞💞

Hi - I find if you rub a gentle soap into them before you put them in the wash (like a pre-wash) it really helps keep them white/clean!
Same as Madeleine Piggott: I essentially do a pre-wash right after I use mine. I had a face wash laying around that I didn’t love and would have tossed otherwise, so it’s also been a good way to use that up.
Thank you!

Hope you're vlogging parts of your Sri Lanka trip! :) Loved the last vlog you posted.

Which reusable cotton rounds do you use ? Do you have a link ? x
Alice B thanks for asking this! I’ve been wondering this too!
There is loads on ebay & amazon!
@@RobynAuditoreNicol Yes I've seen that. So many that it is hard to know which to choose. I want a full review or recommendation, ya know?
I can't expres how much I enjoy your Sunday videos!! 💕 xx
Very helpful, especially the brushes! 👍😘👍
Try the Tatcha vitamin c serum. So good and leaves no residue on the skin at all.
I’m not very into vitamin c after using the Drunk Elephant one. I think it made my skin look good but the smell and texture were a bit much 😬 I tried the Clinique sachets and LOVED them.
Good morning. Thank-you for sharing your favorite product's. Especially the brushes, they're available thru ULTA (some of them).❤
omg that josh rosebrook hydrating aacelerator is AMAZING! As is all of his other products!
Are you not using the Braun IPL anymore?
Try the Nivea make up remover! It’s amazing and much cheaper than Clarins. Have been using for the past 6-7 years until I stated using Face Halo 😁
Hi Anna! Fellow psoriasis sufferer right here! :) Didn't know that about you, I know that the ilness is so individual but it would be nice if you would share your routine, what did you find that helped you :)Have a nice Sunday! :)
Dear Anna, for the eye cream I highly highly recommend you to give a try to Caudalie Vine Active eye cream! It’s fab!
The kiehl’s avocado eye cream is really nice and so is the amore pacific, it’s just very pricy
Love love
Loved the thumbnail...minor detail but very pleasing lol
Omg that vitamin c serum! I also bought that but mine was super sticky and horrible when I opened it and I wondered why 🤦🏼♀️
Best eye cream is Cerave. Cheap, lasts a long time, very gentle and effective. No fragrance. Solid stuff :)
Wow the detail in this video. 👍
Belif has some of the best eye creams in my opinion 😉 ❤️
you need to try farmacy's honeymoon glow AHA/BHA serum when you're done the DE! it's so amazing and a tad more affordable.
LOVED as always, thank you for sharing!
I love you Anna ! I love this video ! Thank you ❣️
Some great tips and products mentioned for sure! Thanks a lot for this video!
I recommend trying Albolone Moisturizing Cleanser. It is great at removing makeup and it is very gentle. Great video :)
Which one is the Retinol series that you mentioned?
eye cream - i really like algenist complete renewal eye balm. I feel its the only one that truly helps my undereye circles.
I love the Pestle & Mortar Eye Cream - so good!
Try that drunk elephant glycolic serum once a week at first, then up it to twice a week after a few months. There’s no rule that says you have to use it every day.
Try the biossance squalane eye cream!!! Such a clean product that feels just lovely on the skin 🧖🏻♀️
Sofia the gel moisturiser is my fav. Love this brand
I love love love your channel!!
Did that cover come with the hair straightener?
I started use Bumble&Bumble because of you 😆 thanks great advice ever
Hi! Caudalie Resveratrol [Lift] Eye Lifting Balm is my holy grail of eye creams.
Since you seem to do so well with Kiehl’s products, you should give their Creamy Eye Treatment a try. It’s lovely.
Love your favorites!!
Pestle & Mortar eye cream is great, hydrating and has peptides
where is your artwork frame from? :)
Hi Anna, I’d be careful with the Banana Bright eye cream. Readers of @esteelaundry beauty community on Instagram have been reporting horrible reactions to the cream which come after they’re been using it for months without problems. They posted about it recently.
❤ Rothko print on your wall.
Medik8 do a fabulous vit c serum, it’s and oil and gives such a stunning glow all day. I use it under Biores aqua riche spf and it’s wonderful for combination/dehydrated skin - my daily must whatever season!
Try bobbi brown hydrating eye cream...amazing
Shame the Drunk Elephant HA serum does not work for me. It really doesn't feel hydrating at all and doesn't make my skin "juicy".
Glossier bubble wrap for eye cream.👍👍
💗💗💗💗
Hey, gorgeous video, love your channel and your skin is stunning so you must be doing something right.. Im your newest subscriber.. I habe a skincare channel too and just did a video on drunk elephant so check it out and let me know what you think.. Xxx
Have you watched any of Dr dray videos her thoughts on eyecream made me laugh and I've stopped using them my moisturizer is enough 😃
Aurora Charming ha well that explains why although I finally splurged for the Biossance eye cream but prefer my facial moisturizer around my eyes 👀
Pop a drop of your favourite serum in your moisturizer around your eye area - instant eye cream!😂
Why did the ending repeat itself? I thought my iPad was broken for a moment.
Probably just a mistake with the editing it looks like
Hope you are enjoying Sri Lanka 😘
Fairy liquid 😂😂😂
❤️
No more drunk elephant anymore for me
Pls pls pls put in US links like Wayne Goss does? It's too hard to follow you, otherwise :(
