It would be interesting to see the cost of this and if that would affect it if you didn't work in beauty, because you get given so much stuff as part of your job, and if you worked in an office you'd have to buy all of it. And your financial situation might be different, I know a lot of professionals in their late twenties/early thirties who can't afford to keep spending £43 on foundation every time they need a new one.
That's what I feel so unrealistic about this tag. MOST of these girls wouldn't have all of this high end, lux makeup since it's not given to them. Total this makeup up and it's the cost of many of their bills. I'd thinking eating would be more important than hundreds of dollars of cosmetics!
Michele Wang did a really reallistic video with this topic. I have no relation with the beauty industry, but I consume a lot of YT. and I have like 10 foundations. Also, the products they show are recent products, by this time you probably have the eyeshadow from 1 year ago. 🤔
I think her approach was more like "what would I wear from my stash, if I was working in an office". While I had assumed from the title, that she would be showing products, that she would actually splurge on, even if beauty was not on top of her spending list.
I would recomend to spend as much as you can in the foundation because if is the right one for your skin and lifestyle. I was 1 month way from home in a professional task. I only use giorgio armani luminiuos silk (I didn´t need primer or concealer), a bronzer (eyes and cheek), lipstick (lips and cheek) and mascara by Rimmel
yes please! i love your videos and style of makeup but i’m interested to see if it can be replicated with more affordable alternatives... can imagine you enjoying the maybelline dream urban cover foundation and maybelline colour tattoo in creamy beige (v similar to groundwork) but other products like cream bronzers and sheer lipsticks are harder to come by
I’d love to see any products that were popular ~5 years ago that you still use today. Would you buy an UD Naked palette today? If not, what are the 2020 versions of that and other popular products?
Love this idea, but I would have expected to see powder in there! During lockdown and only working from home, I realised that I started to do my make up a bit like a youtuber, ie. not really using powder or long-wearing products as I normally would because well, I’d never be very far away from my mirror and makeup bag if ever I needed to touch up. For me, that’s the difference with ‘real life’ - when you’re heading off to the office in the morning you need things to work for you all day long with no concern about how your makeup is faring throughout the day. For me that means long-wearing products and powder and minimal lipstick (if any at all) as that always needs touching up.
I really enjoy these videos as it's basically top picks! Although as a non-youtuber with a small makeup collection I still have two of everything. Daily tinted moisturiser and evening out foundation, daily primer for the office and futuredew for weekends, day to day nude lipsticks and evening out reds/darker tones, day to day cream shadows and evening out sparkle, day to day cream bronzer and deeper powder bronzer for evenings so definitely have more makeup than these if I weren't on UA-cam videos 😂 x
love how you actually considered how your mindset/exposure to beauty products would be different too! lots of others i saw do this tag just talked about their favourites in each category😅
I love this concept. As a consumer I have a lot of makeup and have gone round in circles on how I feel about that. I have played at separating out my favourites (which would fit in a single makeup bag) and I have realised that I would never have come across my favourites without having played around so much with all the other products.
Your skin is looking so good! When you started with the primer, I thought you already had make up on! Thanks for all the make up tips. I’m loving my no makeup makeup look because of your recs. ❤️
Looooove this curation of makeup. I have so much makeup (I have loved your recommendations throughout the years) but definitely have an everyday face similar to this 😍💕
You talking about pallets was exactly me. I owned so so many and now I have downsized and need to do it again. I just gravitate to my few favorites and that’s it.
I burst out laughing, when you said "when I travel, in the year 2025" I'm not that into make-up but I still love watching your videos! Always make me feel good
Hey Anna, I loved this video! Just wondering (as you & I both seem to be major Glossier fans) what your stance was on Glossier’s treatment of BIPOC staff in both their stores and higher up in the company? I know there’s been several online letters published and Emily Weiss responded to these on her blog. But it doesn’t seem to have addressed all the issues at hand. Just wondering because you’ve been all on supporting brands with more inclusivity at the moment! ☺️
LOLz. I enjoyed this, and I loved your process. I am a doctor, so definitely not a makeup professional, and I like a pretty but fairly minimal look, but I have loads and loads more than this and that's after sizing down considerably. I like variation, even in my every day looks, and I love to try new things. Just my travel makeup bag which I recently took on a two week holiday contained more products :).
Ooh I love this, it’s so interesting to think about which brands and products we might not even know about if it wasn’t because of UA-cam and beauty blogs!
I love this! I am a big consumer of skincare and beauty and have a tonne of stuff that fits into one fairly sizeable bag but I always find myself seeing things on insta/YT and buying them only to find that I look exactly the same with the original products in my stash! So I’m trying to be more restrained 😂
If you weren’t a youtuber, you will be watching beauty gurus on UA-cam and buying every product they recommend and voila! Your makeup collection is 10 times that little bag. 😅
I think if you are interested in/care about makeup, whatever your job is or your budget, you are going to have a bigger stash because you will try things. It would be interesting to see a challenge within a certain budget, or a certain number of items.
Ooo I can answer this! I love them both tbh, however GA would be sheerer and glowier. CC is better coverage I think but I think you could potentially build up the GA. Both are good for my very dry skin
Ever since I started wearing makeup I have had a larger collection, like having 5 or more quads, a handful of lipsticks, but then like 1 or 2 foundations and like 1 cheek product. The only thing that has changed is I now love cheek products a whole lot more.
Actually the fact that you look the same as always makes this video useful. I would expect the extra bits are to make you look somewhat different, but are only scarcely used, that's why they are the extra!
Hi Anna! Thank you for the video! I hope you're well! Have you heard about @outtathegloss and how Glossier has treated their BIPOC offline editors? I just wanted to amplify their demands by sharing it with you who may have more of relationship with Glossier and a platform. Thank you for listening 💖
So Added it all up... $450 (US) I haven't bought makeup in six months. My face is covered with a mask every day at work and out in public per the government mandate. Skin care has been my new spend.
Loved this video! Just wanted to mention that my best friend has posted a new video on her UA-cam channel so if you have time please check it out and have a wonderful day❤️ ua-cam.com/video/WJZJQ1puctk/v-deo.html
To the person reading this: You’re amazing stay safe and healthy during quarantine 💕My dream is to hit 1k before my birthday I am struggling to get there.
Can you do a all-time-favourite or holy grail beauty products?
That would be great!
Omg good idea
She does a yearly favorites and compares them to the previous years. Check the last one out.
It would be interesting to see the cost of this and if that would affect it if you didn't work in beauty, because you get given so much stuff as part of your job, and if you worked in an office you'd have to buy all of it. It would be interesting to see what your makeup would be if you only used high-street products!
yes please! i love your videos and style of makeup but i’m interested to see if it can be replicated with more affordable alternatives... can imagine you enjoying the maybelline dream urban cover foundation and maybelline colour tattoo in creamy beige (v similar to groundwork) but other products like cream bronzers and sheer lipsticks are harder to come by
Agreed! Particularly what you would go for with regards to sustainability if limited to high street
I’d love to see any products that were popular ~5 years ago that you still use today. Would you buy an UD Naked palette today? If not, what are the 2020 versions of that and other popular products?
Love this idea! x
I literally thought you already had make up on and was shook when you applied the primer!! Skin is looking AMAZING!
Really given the ginormous pimple on her face? Lol
Same! I was like... why is she putting primer on her make up? Lol. Anna's skin is gorg!
I think this in every video where she starts with no make up on!
That's very kind - thank you! x
katherinehogan SAME!
Thank-you for sharing your edited make-up bag, Anna. It's lovely to see your HG of product's. ❤
When you went to put on your primer I was like "No! You're going to ruin your makeup!" But you weren't wearing any. Anna, your skin is looking fab.
Love this idea, but I would have expected to see powder in there! I love these types of videos! I'm so glad you came to the vlogger space. I enjoy how positive you are and how light your space feels. ♥️♥️♥️
I think you did a really good job with this Anna! It's basically exactly what I use/want to use for my everyday office makeup .
Same here, and actually I have more than 2, and i use them regardless of the moment of the day 😅
BRING BACK ANTI-HAULLL✨✨✨
love how you actually considered how your mindset/exposure to beauty products would be different too! lots of others i saw do this tag just talked about their favourites in each category😅
Would be interested to see what skin care you would use if you weren't a UA-camr ...
Brilliant video 💚
Polina Claes Yes, would love to see Skincare too 😉👍
I’d love to see this video but skin care!
OMG Temptalia! That place was the oracle 😂
Louise T it still is! ❤️
Great video and beautiful look! So many of the products you mentioned are also staples for me ❤️🌿
This vid is amazing, every day real world content …love
This was a great video as I love having a nosey in people’s make-up bags! xx
This is like a capsule makeup collection! I love it!!!
I love this concept. As a consumer I have a lot of makeup and have gone round in circles on how I feel about that.
I have played at separating out my favourites (which would fit in a single makeup bag) and I have realised that I would never have come across my favourites without having played around so much with all the other products.
love that shadow shade! reminds me of my fav, bobbi brown camel!!
Your skin is looking so good! When you started with the primer, I thought you already had make up on! Thanks for all the make up tips. I’m loving my no makeup makeup look because of your recs. ❤️
Just because it looks very much like you would wear now, I think means you’re real and true to yourself. And that’s what I like about your video’s!
Looooove this curation of makeup. I have so much makeup (I have loved your recommendations throughout the years) but definitely have an everyday face similar to this 😍💕
this would be great as a skincare version as well!
Omg when you put the primer on your face I was like!!! Why would you put that over your makeup!! Your skin is so beautiful ❤️❤️
❤️ this! The end result looks amazing!😊
You talking about pallets was exactly me. I owned so so many and now I have downsized and need to do it again. I just gravitate to my few favorites and that’s it.
Yesssss I've been waiting for this! Thank you!
I burst out laughing, when you said "when I travel, in the year 2025" I'm not that into make-up but I still love watching your videos! Always make me feel good
Now please do the skincare version!
Ooo this would be fab!
Loved it Anna! 😍 I feel it was super interesting to see your routine from a different perspective and reality..👌🏻

Thanks for bringing this to my attention - reading up on it now! x
Since your actual collection is already quite curated compared to most beauty influencers, I found this especially interesting
You would probably love Lancome's Skin Feels Good. It's lightweight, hydrating, and has a lovely luminous finish! I wear it every day :)
LOLz. I enjoyed this, and I loved your process. It’d be great to see you do this for skin care 💜
Never have I ever carried around a pair of nail scissors in everyday life 🤣
Ooh I love this, it’s so interesting to think about which brands and products we might not even know about if it wasn’t because of UA-cam and beauty blogs!
Loved this! 😁

Great video concept! :D
JamiePaigeBeauty did the first video like this that inspired Mariah. Check her out!
God. To know you and Mariah are friends? Chef’s kiss!!!
Thank you for the video. Nice selections!
NEEEED to try that foundation 💗💗💗
Omg I was certain that u were already wearing makeup when u started applying ur primer!! Amazing skin brows and lashes wow
Awesome Anna, could you do a high-street/drugstore - only version of this video?
Also a skincare version (high-end and drugstore product lines included)?
If you weren’t a youtuber, you will be watching beauty gurus on UA-cam and buying every product they recommend and voila! Your makeup collection is 10 times that little bag. 😅
That’s what I thought too haha!
Dang I love that makeup bag 😂. As soon as she lifted it I was hoping she would mention where it was from. Too bad!
Great video!
I think if you are interested in/care about makeup, whatever your job is or your budget, you are going to have a bigger stash because you will try things. It would be interesting to see a challenge within a certain budget, or a certain number of items.
A skincare version of this tag would be👀👀
Really lovely video
NARS afterglow eyeshadow ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️ best palette I own I wish more youtubers would y’all about it and use it
Love this video idea! I think I'm going to have to make a similar video on my channel! Thanks so much for sharing! 💚
Love this video - skincare version??
I like your hair this length! Xxx
Loved this!
Really enjoyed this!
I looooove this video! How would you compare the It Cosmetics CC cream and the Giorgio Armani foundation??
Ooo I can answer this! I love them both tbh, however GA would be sheerer and glowier. CC is better coverage I think but I think you could potentially build up the GA. Both are good for my very dry skin
Ever since I started wearing makeup I have had a larger collection, like having 5 or more quads, a handful of lipsticks, but then like 1 or 2 foundations and like 1 cheek product. The only thing that has changed is I now love cheek products a whole lot more.

Is your WNU shirt true to size? I know this particular shirt is oversized some, should I order my usual small?
Hi Anna! Thank you for the video! I hope you're well! Have you heard about @outtathegloss and how Glossier has treated their BIPOC offline editors? I just wanted to amplify their demands by sharing it with you who may have more of relationship with Glossier and a platform. Thank you for listening 💖
Loved the video!
Nice everyday makeup set up; however what about spf or suncare under the make up or in the make up?
So Added it all up... $450 (US)
I haven't bought makeup in six months. My face is covered with a mask every day at work and out in public per the government mandate. Skin care has been my new spend.
That and tons of eye stuff since it’s all we have left.
Lmao I thought you started the video with makeup on and you were about to just talk about the products 😂 You are so pretty! 💖
Love the title!!!!
Love your videos ❤️
lovely video!
Do you find the Armani foundation lasts well? X
I think I saw Hannah Louise Poston do this concept first! She's awesome and anyone reading this comment should check her out.
I love it ♥
Hi Anna. Hope you’re well. Baby Anna arrived on 13.08 and is doing great ☺️💗
What tan do you use? It is so natural I thought it was your natural color until you mentioned it
What do you think of Glossier’s treatment of retail workers?
Reading up on this now - thanks for bringing it to my attention x
No blush??? I have red/pink cheeks and still love blush! Love!
I find the IT foundation too cakey/thick. Is the GA also the same texture?
Can u a favriote vrs not so favourite makeup video? xx
Chanel do sell makeup bags btw if anyone's interested they're in the small leather goods section of the website under pouches xx
Loved this video! Just wanted to mention that my best friend has posted a new video on her UA-cam channel so if you have time please check it out and have a wonderful day❤️ ua-cam.com/video/WJZJQ1puctk/v-deo.html
Can you do the same for skincare? 💗
Interesting video.
When I can travel... in 2025... 😭
Loved this video!
My names Anna lol😂
I’m not really sure what the point of this video is. You’re still using high end products most of us can’t afford
LJ Terrell I’m not talking just about me. If you read the comments you’ll see there are quite a few in agreement with me.
To the person reading this:
You’re amazing stay safe and healthy during quarantine 💕My dream is to hit 1k before my birthday I am struggling to get there.
Weird flex but aight
Bushy brows again
Great video!
