I really enjoy the time in your shop you share with us and I'm thankful for the knowledge you share! To bad you are so far away, would be great to see you in real life one day. All the best from Germany, Maximilian.
You give us hope in life, Ironhorse! You inspire us to live out our dreams and aspirations in life. Watching you gives me hope and carriage take action now!!! We need you Ironhourse, please keep taking very good care of yourself and family!!!
The sound of you digging out the chain brake reminds me of being in my late dad’s dental lab. It was like when he was fitting some poor guy’s bridge work around his only bicuspid without nonvaccine.
Nice work IH. I was curious how to mode an oil pump. I've heard of some old timers running some kerosene through the oil tank to clean the tank, line and pump before. But I guess if it's not pumping at all, the kerosene can't get to the sticky parts..
Although you were recording (while unaware, I assume) and not talking, I could still imagine the thankful words going thru your brain when that one particularly stubborn bolt went "snap" and broke loose. What a wonderful sound when the bolt makes THAT noise converse to the stripping of the hex!!!
Great video Harvey, thanks for sharing your knowledge and experience, there's nothing like knowing what actually works. "Wisdom is the principal thing; therefore get wisdom: and with all thy getting get understanding."
Hey sir. Just wanted to say thanks for all the great content. I have a question, I’m considering buying a 372 or 371. I have found a nice one of each but I’m not sure which is more desirable? What do you think?
Is the oil pump mod necessary for all 3 series saws? Or mostly for modded saws running longer bars? I’ve found with mine, it almost oils too much. About one tank of oil to a tank of fuel
I get a kick out of watching people try to take dirty saws apart, when you can take five minutes and clear all those alen headed bolts so you don't strip them out, but I guess it's easier to pound the tool in with a hammer and fuck shit up !!!
If cost isn’t a factor … 6al4v Titanium wood be the cats 🐈 ass! Weight of aluminum and stronger than cast/case hardened steel! You gonna PAY tho … it’s combo of lightweight and strength wood make for lightning quick throttle response and will rev to the moon assuming a lighter piston.
@ I merely suggested a superior option IF money were no object. I mean you do know that iconel is MORE expensive than titanium right ? For applications such as this dirtbike/saw build a titanium rod would simply offer UNMATCHED performance. IF you’re going to do it , then do it right I say. Heck I just dropped 5hun on an electric ⚡️ superhandy winch and a timber tuff log skate to do some backyard Loggin … Didn’t make but a 6-pack of beer off of THAT job BUT… I own the equipment and now will reap the profits going forward , plus it’s a helluva lot faster/less labor / work on the help. Eventually I’ll get a Honda 35cc gas powered capstan winch. Sometimes ya just have to SPEND money Fife, I can’t afford to be poor , and certainly ain’t gonna try and reinvent the wheel 🛞 especially when commercial grade equipment is available! As long as gainful work is available I say get the best equipment you can to do the job. I mean I guess I could save money on gas and bar oil by using a one man crosscut saw and a 20Lb maul but that wood lose its luster very very quickly🤣

Better than a sharp stick in the eye that’s for sure
Nice little mod! Thanks Ironhorse!!

Good to see you again
Harvey enjoyed the video
What about lowering the head into the bore, could be an easier solution then sourcing a piston
Thanks 👍
If you’re just wanting a “drop in” higher volume oil pump, the pump from a 390 fits with ZERO mod’s to it and gives that “little bit more” output.
Beautiful work Harv 👍🏼
This is going to be awesome! 💯👍

Do u run 40-1 in your yard saws? Thanks
coffee and bar oil 😁😁😁😁
I have a nos 2100 bottom end. You should hit me up i like flat top 066 stuff. I actually have lots of 2100 298 stuff. I also live in ny. Talk to me.😂
I have a Husqvarna 266 it leaks a lot of bar oil from the bar side what causes that?

What about balancing the rotating assembly Harvey?
Might help Harvey if you clean your bench off a little bit.😅
It would help a lot! But then I couldn’t find anything!
Get yourself a magnetic bowl before you loose that spring for ever!
Hello, i was wondering if i could put a 395 top end on my 365 ?
Inconel wouldn't be my choice of material... 4140, 4340 would be my choice.

@fabzacres-blackcat i find humor in this comment. You're telling someone to waste unnecessary money when you typically talk about penny pinching. Lol
