He physically had all of the controllers he mentioned, and talked about the feel of each of them. Yeah, it's not dealing with them while playing Smash Bros directly, but I think the deeper look he did on the feeling of each controller definitely makes his video on it something worth watching

The best switch case is the Skull & Co. Grip case w/ travel case (a bit chunky) but it feels like playing on a real controller while in handheld and I can carry around all of my games, a charger, and extra joy-cons all with my system. It was a limited kickstarter but I was able to buy one used at the pre-order price on ebay. By far the best case for a Switch lover who wants their switch traveling with them at all time everywhere you go!

I think a good addition to this list is the larger box like travel case (licensed by nintendo) that has enough space for a pro controler, the switch (obviously) and the dock. What I like the most of this item is the extra controller space for when you’re traveling with more than one friend and want some 3 or 4 player fun.
6:40 THANK YOU for reminding everyone that no one is sure about the controller situations yet. Personally I'm used to the pro controller layout from smash 4 and the wii u pro controller. I even preordered the smash pro controller. However, if I want to compete at tournaments I might need to either buy another wired pro controller or a wired gamecube controller, depending on which ones are being accepted at those tournaments. We just don't know how syncing issues are going to work on the wireless ones at this moment, so props to Wulff Den for that warning
Definitely agree with this list, except for the exclusion of the powerA gamecube controllers! If you want something that feels incredibly close to the real thing powerA is definitely the way to go, and the wireless version has motion controls so it's great for splatoon/zelda/mario odyssey!

Got me a Satisfye Grip a couple months ago. It feels a little bulky at first (after you're used to the thin feeling of the Switch on its own) but it's so much more comfortable. Totally worth it, and it's really inexpensive.
Good tip about the extra charger. I play docked about 80% of the time and traveling with it weekly has caused me to accidentally leave it behind on occasion.
I think a great gift is the PowerA wireless GameCube controller. It might take batteries, but the battery life is over 30 hours. Plus, they make the D-Pad bigger and they add the plus, minus, home, and capture buttons.

Good list! I think a Tempered Glass for the Switch Screen is also a good gift. Helps prevent scratching especially when you dock the Switch. Like playing Operation when trying to dock.

Thank you for calling out everyone reviewing the GameCube controllers without actually testing it on Smash Bros! Every other review I've looked at is from before the game released so I have no idea what the pros and cons of each are when it comes to Smash (outside of your video).
The satisfye grip really is a good one. I backed them on Kickstarter and even though it took forever to finally get the grip I'm very happy with the final product for only $20
Can say from personal experience that the Insignia (best buy) dock will not destroy your switch. I have had it for about 4-6 months and haven't had any problems. And for the price (20-$30) it's so worth it. Smaller design. Best Buy insignia warranty, comes with a charger and an HDMI (the whole set) I recommend it personally.

I *really* reccomend an extra official nintendo switch dock. Playing on your living room and when a family member needs to use that TV you can carry your switch and play it on your bedroom tv, and makes it easier to carry to lets say a friend's house once smash comes out, + comes with a charger that goes for $30 and an hdmi (I got mine on amazon for $50 so that's an insane deal)
I was lucky enough to find one last switch GameCube adapter on black friday. But if you're planning on getting one keep in mind that it will take up 2 USB ports
That hori controller looks identical to the WiiU one, which does not at all feel like an original GC controller. It's light, it's cheap, it's bulkier, and the trigger/bumpers are mushy and shallow.

I'm more interested in the PowerA Gamecube controller for the Switch. More of a faithful recreation of the original Gamecube controller, but $5 cheaper than the new official versions, and it's USB, so it needs no adapter.

You forgot to talk about the PowerA GameCube Controllers! They have a wired and wireless option, and they also have all the buttons the pro controller does, allowing for full switch title functionality. They stand out cuz they also have motion controls, which is awesome for Splatoon players. And beyond all of this, they stay true to the GameCube design better than the Hori or PDP ones.

Looking forward to video comparison of Hori/Pdp/Official gamecube controllers!! Can any of them be used for other switch games as well?
You forgot to talk about the PowerA GameCube Controllers! They have a wired and wireless option, and they also have all the buttons the pro controller does, allowing for full switch title functionality. They stand out cuz they also have motion controls, which is awesome for Splatoon players. And beyond all of this, they stay true to the GameCube design better than the Hori or PDP ones.
