I knew exactly what the name on that rod was gonna be as soon as you mentioned that you couldn't pronounce it! I've used multiple Sougayilang rods and reels (more reels than rods) that I've purchased at very low budget prices on Amazon through the years. So far they've held up quite well.

Temu has some of the best fishing gear. I've bought 2 6' UL roda for less than 20 each and I've never had a road so whippy before. I left one in the bed of the truck for a year (in Ohio) and it took a year of abuse before an eyelet broke off. I treat the second one better 😆

water lvl in Arkansas is way way down as well a lot of our secondary rivers and streams are barley flowing , local lake has to be at least 15-20' as far as where the lake is from the bank where I fish

    Please help:
I just found your channel, & I have a question. (Excellent channel, by the way)
...I was recently fishing for bluegill in a tiny local pond, using a 5.5dt rod and 6lb test, and hooked an 8lb largemouth, which I did end up getting in, but I hand lined him most of the way because I thought my gear couldn't hold up.
What should I be looking for if I fish ultralight and hook something big, so that I don't lose a PB fish?
I've lost some really nice fish by not having heavy enough tackle.
I think that running too heavy has lost a lot of nice crappie and bluegill because of it my bad habit.

I watched this at work on a break and one of my co-workers laughed and asked what a mudbug is. I told him it's a crawdad. Well, he's from Connecticut and he gave me a blank look.
    "A crawdad?"
"Yeah. You know a crawfish, a crayfish! Your name is now Burcell."
I love going creek fishing with you, Richard. I think I like creek fishing best of all in the summer, too. We used to wade Second Creek and Bull Run Creek in Knoxville and surprise people the fish we caught out of Second Creek. It was a fairly small creek that had some small largemouth bass and some BIG bluegill in the holes. We even
got one of my friend's dad to come fish it with us. Good memories for sure.
Thank you so much, Richard. Imagine, a crappie and what about the colors on that long-ear. Beautiful.

Bass Pro Shops has started using the same material “elastic” material in their Tournament series soft plastic. They have a “sinko” shaped bait between the TRD and the big TRD. Just bought some at Cabela’s. They were located next to the Z-man baits. Haven’t tried them yet, but did check the stretch….they call it “high floating elestomere” I think. Cost was cheaper than Z-man.
