Plenty Coronation cars. This was the final season for these cars in the main. A few lasted until 1975, but that was 'it' really. One -660-survived at Blackpool for occasional use as specials or for enthusiasts' tours.
Coronations and the Engineers tram at Rigby Rd & in the loop. Was it a Standard? Someone will know. But the filmer went specifically for the Coronation trams. Sadly Blackpool wasn't the right place for the VAMBAC controller, although it was a good idea. 550 volts in a occasionally damp & salt-laden atmosphere makes for some pretty spectacular burn-ups. I used to do a lot of 8mm back in the day with a Bolex H8. This stuff looks like Kodachrome. Agfa always shift to magenta.
What are, or were the fare stages then? There is a zonal system in use on Blackpool transport buses, but a flat single fare on the trams these days, but I'm sure graduated fares were charged for many years
Excellent; good colour and clear.
A pleasure to watch.Thank you.
perfect colour balance. A really good transfer
