I always had my holidays in blackpool. In the 70s up to the very early 1990s and visited in 1991 day trip. Just how I remember it in this video before I left UK. I went back in 2012 and Blackpool had lost alot if its charm thanks to modernisation. The promenade lost its black walls, if i wanted to see grass along sea front I would go to the countryside lakes. The place was empty. Pleasure beach did alright. But everything else...no more said the better.
I love spotting all the old cars in the video, 1990 would be the year of the H reg, one or two H regs are in the video and its also interesting to note most cars are fords and vauxhalls unlike today where there is more choice.
From a time when the world and all within was an normal and enjoyable time to be alive!

And of course most of the trams were them Manchester Metrolink style Flexity Trams!

Definitely later than 1990, can tell by the liveries on cars such as Balloon 701 and OMO 5
