    The problems with microwaves is that the residents constantly slam the door shut and it breaks the switches. I dealt with that daily for years. The property I am at now doesn't provide microwaves and I am not upset about it.

    I use Coupling Nuts are replace those plastic nuts for the toilet seats as those are always breaking. Then you can either get a wrench or a socket on them. Love the vids!

    I’ve always hated glue-joint traps. I’m sure they have their pros, but they do make it harder to work on if the line has to be snaked or if something gets caught in the trap.

    I work for a Residence Inn in Minneapolis as an Engineer. GE microwave door switches always going out or the turn table motors.

      Sometimes when I open my microwave before the timer runs out causes the breaker to trip. Could these switches going bad cause this?

      @dustinbartlow4318
      There are three safety switches inside the microwave. When the door is opened during a warming cycle, the timing of these switches is absolutely critical. If any of the three are out of sync, it will cause a direct short and dump the breaker.Your home breaker could be weak, also.Plug the microwave into another outlet and open the door if it don't trip.That means the breaker that the microwave is on will need replacing.Door switches are easy to find and replace.

    Where I work the tenants are like a cartel. One person gets a new appliance cause its beyond repair and all of sudden four of their friends are having the exact same issue.

    On that sink drain all you had to do was take a piece out of the tailpiece then take that other short piece out of the wall tube , stuck the trap back on and it was done. I'd never use glue together traps bc I'm the one that has to take em apart when they get clogged but you're working is quite neat and I love watching. Just bc I've been in the field for over 26 years doesn't mean I'm done learning but man have I learned a lot haha

    I put in a sink and drain/trap for a friend in a new build apartment, the inspector failed the drain cause it was too short between the P trap and drain. Had to be a min 2 times the dia of the pipe or it could cause a siphon. Never had a issue with it being too long. I live in an old farm house and some of the sink drains are kinda sketchy lol... but always drain and dont smell. Likley should put in a few of those vent valves but if it works I dont mess with it.

    Properties need to leave use guide that says do not open door when unit is still running,turn it off first. To much amperage going through a cheap switch with an abrupt opening of the door causes arching in the switches

      @@Hvacmaniac97 if you have HVAC experience, you will definitely make more money than the average maintenance person. if you have experience in HVAC, definitely don’t take low dollar for the job. HVAC experience should pay 2 to 3 dollars more on average. if you’re looking to get into Maintenance, look at indeed and glass door for job listings. FYI, brace yourself for some of the worst air-conditioning conditions you will ever have to deal with most maintenance guys. Do not keep up on condenser or evaporator coils.

      @Raysmaintenance thanks Ray I love your channel. I love certain channels that give back to young guys trying to be that jack of trades. I am very interested in making the switch and yeah I have applied. I've seen the worst units but then again there's always that one that raises the wtf bar! Hope we can see your new vids on the new job soon!

      It amazed me when I first got in this business what people actually leave behind when they vacate a rental. Clothes, toys, war medals, decorations, electronics, furniture etc. I’ve sold and/or kept so much stuff you could start a consignment shop.
