Growing up I saw engine 41 and ladder 24 race up Haverford ave a lot as a kid. My landlord was detailed there to 24 a platoon and my best friends dad was a retired driver out of ladder 1

I lived in Philly until 1975. As a young whipper I loved to see those fire trucks rolling down my street. Many times people would pull the alarm on the corner when there was no fire out of mischief.

They park the medic unit in front of the Engine at most fire stations. I think you can probably figure out why. Hope that helps.
