Great video!
Thanks!
Still my all time fav vid!
One of mine too!
Good catch
I guess every one else is more important then the fire units responding with lights, sirens and horns!? In some cases the vehicles were unwilling or unable to go through red lights. That is why all major/large cities in the USA need Opticom or some other traffic light control devise. It dose really make life safer for every one. There will still be drivers that do the wrong things. Still though a traffic control system on ever stop light in the city and on every police , fire and medical unit in the city will help a lot. St. Paul and Minneapolis MN. have Opticom and it makes things safer for them. Even most of the suburbs use that system and it helps to quicken response times by giving the emergency vehicle the green light and all others a red light.

I heard about that we need medic 1.
Yes. I Love This Video So Much
Thats amazing
I'm just gonna... park *RIGHT* here in the middle of the intersection so that no one can get through.

Thanks!
You're welcome
Damm that's a big respond. Nice! Catch
Thanks!
Your welcome! Aaron Mott
Wow amazing catch man! What is the difference between an engine and a pipeline?
IIRC a Pipeline carries more large diameter hose and has a pump tuned for inline supply operations (high volume versus high pressure), as opposed to being the frontline attack. It can still serve as such, just not as well.
With the US grid system of roads it must be quite alarming for a motorist when a huge response seems to come at you from every angle. And pretty much all at once. And can anyone please tell me what a Pipeline is? Is it just an engine?
Pipeline is the PFD's radio designation for an engine that carries extra lengths of LDH and a manifold.
Super awesome catches!
Thanks!

E q 2 b yelp good signal to get heavy traffic out of the way from 4 :29
Boy, they do respond in large numbers. Many departments have cut back on response. Nice to see. But Philadelphia needs some traffic officers.
😮❤😂😂😅😊😊😊great job great team work and great and sweet catches as usual still going great team efforts are deeply appreciated even by Philadelphia fd responding they deserve alot of credit tons of it let's honor and appreciate the paramedics and firemen who proudly serve us your service and time and efforts are deeply appreciated thanks you have to be in the right place to see one hell of respond ever much love and respect and appreciation job well done you should be amazed and proud buy them a philly cheesesteak or something way to go I'm left speechless !!! Joe ❤😂😂😅😅😊😊
Like the no.5 truck , heard its hard driving the truck from tne back.
Q43 was supposed to be SQ43 right?
no more Quint either right?
SQ is the abbreviation for Squad, they use Q for Squrt and Quint was QT when it was around, but its gone now.
So maybe squirts of 43 can stay as 143, but the spare squirts are 243 and 257. But water tower 38 can use an engine if he is at the training academy.
Why are there so many "ex" units. Do they undergo an upgrade and get the ID number changed?
Yes. Busier units get new trucks, and their old one gets handed down to another unit. For example, Medic 13 used to have the 2010 Ford seen in this video, but when they got a new unit in 2015, the 2010 Ford was reassigned to Medic 50.
Good Gosh.. Thats how to respond
amazing video a lot of action
Thanks!
Like that scene in Towering Inferno
Nice Blues Bros siren @5:05
Is it just me or did they turn round an drive down the same road ?
They did not
Firefighters: Well I might as well lean on my HORN BECAUSE THEY OBVIOUSLY CANT HEAR MY SIREN!
Drivers: Loudest sirens I ever heard! Can't bloody go nowhere! NOW I CANT HEAR!
I like everything that you show me in this video I’ll give you a thumbs up100000000000000
Awesome video of awesome Philly trucks.Wish you sell photos of Philadelphia fire apparatus.Do you?
whats pipeline 20?
What's the difference between a pipeline and and engine
Pipelines are Engine companies that carry extra lengths of 5" hose and a large manifold. Other than that they are the same.
Philly needs more strict enforcement of vehicles not pulling over, instead of trying to out race the trucks.
Hey, Aaron. Great Video! Could you explain me what a "Full Box Response" is?
Keano Neumann Thanks! I titled this "Full Box Response" because it was a box assignment (structure/other type reported fire) in this case it was reported to be a passenger train underground. I say full box response because it was the full box (every unit on the assignment) responding. I think I missed pne chief but everything else was responding in this video.
Ok, thanks so far. Can I assume that the city is split into boxes? So that all units in the box are responed to the fire?
Keano Neumann No. The term box comes from "fire boxes" that used to be on the street that people would pull if there was a fire. They still use the terminology eventhough the fire boxes are no longer around. A dispatch for this would be, for example, "Box 4377, Aramingo Avenue and Cambria Street, fire is reported at.... reported to be.... following companies will respond...."
Ok, thanks for the explanation. And I think there is a plan with the units which will be respond to the scene, right? Is there a homepage with this informations?
This is what used to be on the Wikipedia page, but is no longer there...

What was going on??
Reported fire/emergency on a train in the station underground. There was a medical assignment there at the same time, not sure if the incidents were related.
Awesome catch
Thanks!
Hello i am from Germany an i have a question for what stand squrt ? what is the job of a squrt ?
It's short for Telesquirt, which is a patented elevated water pipe appliance that is offered as an option by most fire apparatus manufactures. Believe it is manufactured by Smeal. They come in 50 and 75 foot lengths. Check here on UA-cam there are clips of them in operation.
@@user-hw1cr5uq4z ok thanks
Pipeline????
😍😍😍
i love the body on R1, its time for a new R1, it would make a great spare :)
New one should be coming this year.
way to move traffic boys
Bad ass catch
It amazes me how no one hardly yields and just keeps driving forward. Like hey fire trucks, ah well.
Leaving the jokes i could come up with, what is a squrt rig?. Was this an 1 alarm responce or 2 alarm?
Squrt is the brand name for the aerial water device on top of the truck. This was a 1 alarm assignment
@@amott919 ok thanks.
Maybe if they played Preußens Gloria, the drivers would form a Rettungsgasse.
Those are some old looking apparatus they got
