@@m0istl0la97 Thank you! I used Pantograph to track them. Ridership wasn't very high since during that time many people were probably at home with it being dark outside
They could have been more common if construction for the Central Subway had been completed on time as originally estimated by Muni (for the year 2019 when there were fewer Siemens in service).
It’s good to know they still work in the tunnels. They need to run more trains.. period. It’s faster for me to take a bus than take the T still. They praised the 2,000 extra riders on the line (which is AWFFUL for a $2b subway) during the board of directors meetings but neglected to share the MANY issues that occurred in the first couple months of service including daily instances of 15-20+ minute service gaps, the incredibly slow service between 4th and King and 4th and Brannan and the chronically broken transit lights at the intersections. I’ll keep digging to figure out why Muni isn’t acknowledging these issues and see what I can do as a non-gov employed citizen. Doesn’t seem fair for the thousands of commuters that use the line daily.
@@TohaBgood2 You're probably thinking going from Chinatown to Yerba Buena. Coming from Chase Center > Union Square. The 15 is 5-10 mins or so faster than taking the T. Ofc the T stops multiple times while the 15 is direct. The 30 also goes farther north than Chinatown so the T is not a direct replacement for slow buses. It's just so short of a subway to be incredibly useful. A single stop to Northbeach would completely blow away bus times and shift more usage away from buses. One day. Maybe in a couple decades when the fiscal cliff has been resolved.
@@TohaBgood2 I’m 100% for being supportive but the Trabsit app rarely recommends the T because of travel times. I usually take the T anyway regardless, because I prefer trains over buses even if it’s a bit longer.
@@TohaBgood2 Appreciate your thoughts, I do think Muni is working on it but perhaps silently behind the scenes.. Let's hope this fiscal cliff doesn't affect subway service.
Yes! It provides service on the 9R, 14R, 38R and 49! Also the 78X during Chase Center Events and sometimes they cover missing runs for other divisions as well
Recall London Broil!❤
Good to see Muni give these Bredas a chance to serve the Central Subway before they retire, I like seeing older LRVs serve newer stops
I wish it would happen more often tho...
Nice catch!
Thanks!!! Finally caught it myself as well lol
I knew I should have ran down the street to catch this LOL 😂
Yes you should've lol
AMAZING VIDEO
The last thing i wanna see though is seeing the Breda depart Chinatown station. IF ONLY THEY WERE MORE COMMON
Thank you! I know right! I would've made another video with arriving and leaving if it was more common too
@@sfmunioperations ITS 👍 Still a good video, really good POV.
What website is used to track Bredas?
And also, how was ridership?

For real they need to increase frequency, now given that it’s so infrequent during weekends, with a delay happening it gets even worse
