4 seconds? I remember the top ghost on Mushroom Gorge at one point was 0:00.001 seconds. As soon as the race starts, the ghost disappears instantly and the game just sits there forever until you hit the pause button and exit the replay.
Add a reason to why Toad’s Factory is my second favorite MKW track (Grumble can’t be beat), it’s so much fun and so cool! Bowser’s Castle is a close third, with the N64 one being fourth, and Coconut Mall being fifth

The lap 3 lake cut using that method is essential because we need to slow down in order to reach the boost panel where the tractors are. RR no glitch is being worked on already by RS.
This is the fastest known method to hit the boost panel under the tractor, as it allows for a fast way to reach the boost panel the way we did. We barely had to kill time as this was the fastest working approach.
While I haven't attempted to make it with spear, I can still confirm it to be harder with BB, but the gap in difficulty is not something I can grasp. I will say getting the glitch in lap 1 was the hardest as we barely had time to set up for it.
Ramoelleus RS tbf I’m going purely off speculation but the BB is slower than the spear and it’s hit box is less advantageous when it comes to clips. That BB is just better for a 3/3 time so the spear is not used

The boost panel thing is actually not new, it happened to me in my first sub 1:51 run on TF on lap 2, if someone has the vid from my old channel, feel free to reupload it for analyzing work, also you can get a slip without wheelie on conveyor turn, this might help you save a bit of time if you decide to redo this, nice work
Why and how did you do the lake sc the way it was done on lap 3 here in that run? Also, why would you even go towards that boost pad if it was clearly covered by the tractor?
i didn't do the sc that way and i believe the boost pad was not 100% covered but i triggered it the same way it was triggered here i got a slight bounce and landed on the slope which triggered the boost if remember correctly
@@Blackyboi39 Hitting the boost panel while covered is as old as time, but the way we achieved it in this run is in fact new. There are a lot of ways to hit it while covered but unless you literally triggered it frame perfectly like we did here you didn't do it the same way. Also assuming you used 1-1-1, the boost panel isn't even covered at sub 1:51 pace on lap 2. Also getting a slip without a wheelie on the conveyor saves NO time, it's equal.
that's wrong it saves time because you can take a more direct line :) also i was replying to the description as it stated the landing on the tractor to trigger the boost panel from above was new, which as you correctly stated is not the case, while the boost panel is not fully covered at 1:50 pace with 1-1-1 it is partially covered which can lead to the exact same outcome, triggering it while not actually touching it and it was done here in a quite similar fashion compared to my old run, i believe the only major difference was that i didn't wheelie but landed on it out of a drift
It is the conveyors. They give a boost in momentum. This momentum is best carried in air. If we hop right after landing we can still carry a fraction of the momentum from previously. That is why we hop until we get slower than another driving method. After the stompers we just need to be faster than turning speed when hopping and after the conceyor turn we need to be faster than doing a wheelie in a miniturbo boost. These are the scenarios where continuous hopping gain time.

Yeah.
More accurately hopping after the conveyor belts preserves some of the momentum, but the idea behind it is close to be the same as you suggested.
