how is the scrub in the steering? It says how lacking the Bronco is to go to the extreme to make portals for it, and to put them on an IFS.
I feel these are going to put extra strain on all the suspension components that were not designed for portals. Your changing every aspect of the suspension geometry.
These are cool for video content, but in the end, a SFA is more practical, and probably not that much more in price.
Thanks for sharing, it was an interesting watch.

This is exactly the right solution for Bronco. You talk about Geometry but I’m guessing you don’t quite understand it? I’m not trying to be a jerk but it’s the opposite of your statement. The only way to lift without affecting Geometry.

Outside of Mercedes and unimog I have yet to see any platform adopt portals and hold up to daily abuse. I’m also referring to civilian vehicles and not something custom built around the portals. These look sick, but one thing I can't stop thinking about is that I don't understand why they didn't build it all into new knuckles? It is weird to me that these just get tacked onto the outside of the existing knuckles. It is certainly a simpler engineering solution, but seems unnecessarily heavy and more points of failure. Maybe for a version 2.0. Or am I crazy and just plain wrong :)

Well you did not get told you have lots to learn with your concerns like mine
      😂
But I am good with it
Sadly UA-camrs have to promote products they get into deals with and can’t have negative comments because they need to get paid or have a discount or free product for advertising
The real sad part is the knuckles may not be week but sure have lots more stress then stock set up with portals if this guy wants people to believe it or not
Even safer then all that is he knows it and is trying to hid that fact and will say things like he did to you or me to try and make people believe him over others and maybe he is just that dumb not to understand how much extra stress those portals put on other parts
      Either way it’s sad really
I know I won’t bother watching or commenting on the channel anymore just like other channels
People that actually understand things really need to stop watching channels like this one so UA-camrs are held accountable for what they promote and or say
They’re are lots of people that do not understand things and take UA-camrs for what they say and do as truth
People that do know the difference have to not watch so the channels start to be truth or go away because they are not

Have a couple questionsfor ya . In all honesty.
    Love the portals.
    1. I just ordered a Braptor will be xlose to a daily.
2 . I do like the ifs better. I will.off road some times. Probably50/50 sand and trails. 80 pavement... lol
3 . In your opinion what dp you think is a better all around ride . Portals with ifs . Or raptor with strait .
4 . Would you spend money on rator or just cutom reg. Bronco. After aeeing this video i reallylike the portals.
    5. What you think.abput over all reliability either way.
    6. Any one can buy a rator. Not anyone puts on portals. I wouldllike something different with the ability and ride . Also power ? Will probably run 38s to 40s
    Any advise is greatly appreciated.

My honest opinion is IFS with portals performs so much better than a solid axle all the way around. Maintaining the ride quality while greatly increasing the capabilities is key!

    • @dennisgray2559

The added stress to the flimsy control arms no thanks
And the price to pay knowing that added stress is there NO THANK YOU
But have fun and replace and upgrade as you go
It’s nice to see people building these grocery getters
No idea if you pay full price on all your upgrades but anyone that is is a bit nuts if you ask me

Ha really lol buddy I have been off roading and building vehicles before you thought of it lol
I ride a turbo vrod have many different brand heavily built vehicles
I love ifs and portals like my 44 mb with hummvee front and rear portals I built about 12 years ago now
As I said portals are great stock ifs bolt on portals not so much because of the stress
As you said in the video needs better suspension and as I said you will upgrade as you go because you will find week links and I totally understand that
As that’s what happens when building rigs bikes cars
But hey I need to learn says the guy that’s stupid enough to incriminate himself on UA-cam stating he is going 107 and filming going way over the speed limit after leaving his drive way
      Ha ha
Sorry you don’t like your grocery getting being called what it is
Ford Jeep you name it as a manufacturer that’s what is built and if you don’t know that your dumber then I actually thought and will stop watching your videos
Think about it if any manufacturer was actually building things for the intent of what they claim is off road vehicles you would not have to upgrade all the things you have but as you know you have to
Keep ford Toyota it doesn’t matter the name
Have fun dumbass and I hope your grocery getter has donated parts because having an attitude like yours towards the people that are the reason you can afford or have parts donated to you won’t help you in the long run with that
But hey what do I know I am the one that has lots to learn
      Ha ha

25k for a set of ports to still have a ifs with no flex lmfao for 25k you can have one hell of SFA setup making it 3 times the vehicle.

    • @BroncBustertx
      @BroncBustertx  9 місяців тому

Well 1st it’s more than 25 k to SAS. Second you loose a lot of the ride comforts of IFS. Third you’d have less ground clearance and definitely not 3 times the vehicle!!

@@SNACK_TIME_S that’s why I literally did a video before this one showing that before. Breaking is something we are working on with SSBC out of New York. But honestly, so far, we have not seen any sort of failures or problems with brakes. So for you to say, something worth hate watching is a little bit on the ignorant side.

    • @SNACK_TIME_S
      @SNACK_TIME_S 10 місяців тому

@BroncBustertx First video had like 1 minute of outside the vehicle action filming? Also the video shows you running a body lift then poof its gone. Not worried about the brakes failing, worried about the 100lbs of added mass they have to stop. More heat, more wear and crappy ford brake disks are a bad mix. Big brake kit that came out didn't work with the electric V6 brakes system (computer). The 4 cylinder vacuum system is also cantankerous.

$20k portals and they use silicone to fill the stock ABS sensor holes. So ridiculous.
You cut the bung off the stock steering knuckle and ask if drilling out the brake hose brackets will allow you to go back to stock. Seriously? Hmmmm buying new knuckles or brake hose brackets.
