Chris first off, thanks for using a paint brush in this beginners video and for explaining your painting process and ideas in a way that a beginner like myself can understand and not find too intimidating to even attempt. Too often I see miniature painters posting "beginners guide" videos of themselves spraying away with their three hundred dollar airbrushes rambling on about shading, highlighting, weathering etc... I can barely manage to thin my paint out correctly on my wet pallet, much less operate an airbrush effectively on something as small as a 28mm miniature. I get that the ability to do so is attainable with lots of practice. But in my opinion that is not beginner level stuff. Please keep these videos coming, they are fantastic.

Wacky, tried to follow what you did with the teeth. One second it was beige. Next it was teeth.
For me, it not about rushing it like so. Just that I need to get X 1000 points on the table to play with. Do I want to do them all nmm sure! but that would take me years to get to play. So I try to do "speed painting" on troops, heroes, and more special units gets more highlights maybe paint shadows instead of shading them and so on. but I like your point to paint because it a hobby that is true. but painting at "youtube" standard aka 100 hours on a mini is not realistic for a big part of the community. Hench, I think content like this is good to see from a pro painter.

I get the feeling that speed is the only thing some youtubers care about, sometimes to the point that it looks like they don't even enjoy painting. I love to seat and work on a miniature for a whole day. And my minis are precious to pe because I invested time in them
I would love to play blood bowl tabletop instead of blood bowl 2 but painting and assembling figures with the glue is a deal breaker for me.
I just want to say that I HATE assembling mini’s. I started with vorag and that was a mistake. I’ve gotten so mad and frustrated. I’m terrible at assembly.

A great secret i love on the orc is the relatively limited color palette! That scheme ends up being quick to paint! Great job!
I have noticed that most are either good at teaching basic techniques or more advanced techniques. Your advanced techniques are just awesome. Then you put out a video like this or the one previously with Necrons and show you do both really well. Not sure how you do it, but thank you. Please stay safe.
One of the best miniature painting videos I have seen. I started few months ago and for the Imperial Nobility girl I would have painted gloves before fist weapon and face before braids. I makes me feel most comfortable while painting and avoid overspills.
