Amazing! Not even the early Glenn Gould plays this piece that fast! I like it slower, the way Wolfgang Rübsam plays it, but Jordan is truely the wizard of keys and knows how to master various genres!
in fact, at some point I was really waiting for the characteristic "murmurs" (and I mean this seriously) for me they have quite close tempos, anyway, Rudess is a master in his own right.
This is just not true. Not only does Glenn Gould play it faster, tho it doesn't matter, but plays precise like a clockwork. Mr Rudess takes a more artistic, emotional approach, way more dynamic and with some tempo changes, due to the difficulty. One could call it "sloppy".
@@RobertCookcx Thank you very much Robert, I've tried to research the title III sea tempered bass but without result. Could you help me, please? Is a J.S.Bach's piece? Thanks you very much yet.... 👋

@@sirakoI never understood the point in speed running these pieces. Especially Bach. His compositions were fast, technical, but always musical and inventive.
@@crankfastle8138 I think that this kind of stuff has it's own public, that never develop an ear for musicality, I don't get it either but lately youtube's algorithm keeps going to this guy's videos, maybe he is popular right now? But, yes, I love a good passionate version of Bach and there are many better than this one.
A true master of arpeggio. Very meaty interpretation, a true legend!
A true master of the piano and keyboard.
This guy is a monster
Nuance?
Wonderful and amazing Bach's very difficult piece!! 👏👏👏👏👍👍👍👍👍
that one clap at the end tho 💀
Fantastic performance 🎹
Also, one of the best prog-rock keyboard players around too.
This is a piece of cake for Rudess! 🤣👏👏👏👍👍👍
Julliard was too. He had to challenge himself with his creativity!
playing others composition is always easy, hard part is composing something new. even though rudess himself is a great composer too.
It's an easy piece for any concert level pianist.
Holy F!!!! Is that smoke coming out of his fingers?

Gould definitely plays it at this tempo. The version I listen to most often if Gould’s is about this speed. Possibly a tad faster.

I didnt understand anything of the music. What is this speed for? he needs to run to the loo?
check out his normal music lol.
it's just empty, not the speed in my opinion, it's like a robot or something, not musical but very technical, awful.

Can't really use the pedals
Bach?
Vikingur Olafsson...would be crying now! Yes...he's impressive...but this isn't how to play Bach!
He went to Juilliard at 8 years old. I think he knows how to play Bach.
