He's so effortlessly good. Even just him noodling around, can sound better than most popular songs nowadays

When a master speaks and plays, you just have to listen and learn. Marvelous! Thank you for this!

Little King Crimson for the people at the intro. God Ian McDonald is such a genius. At least his work is famous but he doesn't get the widespread accolade for being a primary writer of it. Rest in power king.

I'm 65 now and I remember being a teenager in the 70's. At the time I was blown away by Keith Emerson, Rick Wakeman, Jon Lord, Tony Banks, Rod Argent, and John Even of Tull (who I've always thought was very underrated). The only reason Jordan wouldn't have been mentioned along with them back then is he simply wasn't around yet. All those guys, and Jordan, make their playing sound so effortless. Just flows so smoothly. Jordan is an incredible talent and, based on some interviews I've heard, seems like a great guy.

I wonder what kinds of people watch these videos. Personally, I am very much an improviser like Jordan. I went to school practicing classical music and dropped out to pursue improvisational composition and experimental music. Jordan has been one my foremost inspirations since the beginning, and almost like a godfather figure to me. His musical influences much like my own (second-hand inherited from my dad), as well as his experience with discovering his own musicality.
I'm thinking since the interviewer is not a musician himself, the questions he asks will direct the interview towards a demographic of non-musician people. In spite of this, I believe that most people watching would be interested in Jordan Rudess for other reasons, predicting that the majority of viewers are musicians themselves, not unlike me.

All your favorite bands secret formulas. I was expecting him to say, "And if you want an Iron Maiden feel, just play Em C D and harmonize over it."
