YAY!!! I'm so glad to hear you say that! I really try to encourage my Dolls to keep the pleasure in creating! Too many people destroy the joy by being by being too rigid. I'm so glad you are enjoying my content! thank you for being here and allowing me to share!
I’ve seen Ara from Bentley House Minis use the clover iron to cure tacky glue in fabrics. It seems to cure it almost instantly. I just sent my hubby a text that I REALLY want a Clover iron for my birthday. He asked if I wanted him to order it now. My birthday isn’t until August! LOL He said he’ll forget by then. He could make a list………….MEN! 😂 Your bed set is so stinkin cute! That mesh idea works well. Foil works that way too!
YES! I have seen Ara use it! When I 1st saw her use it was so tickled! It is a wonderful tool! My mother gave it to me in 2020, she used to quilt years ago. It truly makes a difference when l'm dressing my dolls too! If you need to order it sooner there is a link in the description. LOLLOLOLOL!!!
Aw, the bed and bedding look adorable! What a nice idea of using the wire mesh. Makes a big difference in the ability to shape it. And adorable pillows. The newlyweds will be very proud.❤
Thanks so much Onna! 😊 I am so glad it turned out well! That technique really is a great option! I will definitely be using it in the future! I'm so excited for the newly weds! Thank you for being here!!
Hi Gretchen. I saw a video, long time ago, where a gal used aluminum foil between the quilt fabrics to keep the shape. She just put the foil between the pieces and sewed. I tried it and it works. Just another idea. As always, your work is incredible.❤
Yes i heard of that technique with the heavy duty foil. I had never tried it. This mesh really great I was so impressed by the result! Thank you for the reminder! I may need to do a heavy duty foil video.
The non match approach definitely makes the dolls house more realistic and less of a ‘show home’. I love your storytelling too, you’re such an inspiration ❤
Aww man I haven’t heard you say “pre K” for a while now. 😂one of the first things I remember from your videos 👏👏👏 While I think decorative pillows are a more recent invention, these look so cute I can’t complain! Just adorable.
This is so cute! You are the best at mixing and matching colors and patterns! That quilt is adorable and the mesh idea, pure genius! Thank you for another great video!
Thanks BECKY!!! I really like the Mesh wire inside the quilt ! definitely a great option! When i started pinching it it just looked like ravioli!!! LOLOLOL!
Ravioli pillows, I love it, and they look adorable! Also, love the wire mesh technique, gotta find some of that. I've tried doing my own miniature quilts, but was always frustrated by how they lay. Now new hope in this technique, because I really like making tiny quilts, thanks for a great new idea!
Thank you! 😊 You are welcome! the suggestion came for one of you precious dolls! I do recommend that you tape the edges of the mesh and use gloves. The edges of the mesh are sharp. I love the thought of patience to do a REAL miniature quilt! My mother made quilts when i was young and the thought of all the little pieces was over whelming to me. I buy fabric that looks like a quilt. Maybe I'll try one day. LOLOLOLOL!!!
What a pretty bed! 🥰 Marguerite will love it. Saadi probably won't care too much, but he'll be happy that Marguerite is happy. 😄 I love the way wire mesh worked out inside the quilt! It's definitely something to remember for draping fabric.

The quilted piece is such a lovely gift. I love the fabrics you chose, it’s going to be so special for the newlyweds! I thought you’d like the metal mesh method, it gives so many options for changing the look of bed clothes and heavier curtains to fit the current storyline. Oh, I can’t forget to mention how the pillows in pillowcases look so sweet and make us detail junkies so happy! I’m getting excited about the wedding 😂 I still need a dress…I know where I’m going shopping 😉. xx

This is such a nice project. I love the vintage look. Like you, I sew but I plan to use as much glue as I can for my doll spaces. My sewing machine is not in a comfy spot right now. By the time I squeeze to sit there, change thread, bobbin and whatnot I could be finished by gluing or using fabric tape or stitchwichery. 😂 Thanks so much for sharing. Mastering the pillow game again Miss Gretchen! I especially liked the dimpled round pillow, they were all the rage back in the day. I do have to admit though your glue therapy must be working, even with some of the globby glue around your pillows there still was no excess ooze, now that is next level skills!
The mesh worked out beautifully! I was thinking that the mesh may not need to be exactly the same size, saving the additional mesh. The top, to keep the ability to turn down or bunch up, I would keep the full length of mesh. The sides however, depending on their length, you could probably save 2 inches and maybe a bit more by stopping the mesh an inch from each side. The ability of the mesh being strong enough to hold shape would force the sides to lay down and not need the coaxing of the full mesh. Either way, having an additional option for shaping tiny fabric is always welcome! The bed and linens are an amazing gift to the soon to be newlyweds.
This was So Wonderful Kelly! I truly appreciate the suggestion... and the provision! I will definitely be using this technique on my next bed!!! Thank again!!
