Your techniques to Gretchen things up are so helpful... don't have a lot of experience personalizing mass made things, so you are inspiring me as well as teaching. Thank you! So much better than the Sea of Same.
Hey there Kim I'm glad you like it! Yes you can always add your own personal touches to your things! The only things that are not prone to get gretchened up as if something is signed by the artist! 💖😃💖💖💖💖
You have put that “little Gretchen’s” details on all of the lovely items you did today! I was amazed at what a little paint could do! Everything is wonderful, but I especially like the transformation of the little strawberry shortcake teapot! Well done, doll
Hey there Becky!!! ☺️👋 Thank You! Yes l had to Gretchen up and few things! That's how all this got started! 🤭 I would get miniatures and then alter them in some way to suite my vision! I really Love projects like this because they make feel like l'm 10 years old again 🤭☺️😂🥹!!❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️💖💖💖💖💖💖💖💖💖💖💖💖💖💖💖
Sure, I remember Strawberry Shortcake, one of my daughter's favorites! But I like what you did with the teapot and all the items. It's such fun watching you have fun, and so educational too!
Awesome video. Such pretty treasures you find to make even more lovely and realistic. 😍 Each one is more endearing with your expert hand. That knick-knack shelving and that knitting and basket of yarn...too sweet for words. ❤ I love it all, from the box of cigars to the bowl of fruit! 🥰 I'm inspired.
You've done it again! Just a few simple touches and you really brought each item to life and made them perfect for your dollhouses. I think my favourite was the flower arrangement, the freshened up colour really made them pop! I am so envious of how clever you are my friend!
I have a bunch a itty bitty books that I didn’t know what to do with and now I can use them as cover art for big books. I had a strawberry shortcake lunch box lol remember the metal ones that rusted with the stinky thermos lol! As always amazing !
THANKS DAWN!!!Yes I had to find a use for those tiny book covers! 🤭 I don't intended to ever make books that small! 😂Oh YES THE METAL LUNCHBOXES!!!! WITH NO REFRIGERATION HOW DO WE EVER SURVIVE 😂🤣😂😃💖💖💖
Wow!--So many adorable little miniatures! My daughter just turned 46, and she loved Strawberry Shortcake when she was little! I love what you did with the teapot. 🫖 ❤❤❤
LOL....the bag titled, "what are you keeping that for?".....I love when you say, "Nothing is right or wrong" , always reminds me that things don't have to be perfect . Thank you so much!
Yes Pamela!!! Free yourself from the "tyranny" of Perfection! Go ahead and JUST CREATE!!! You will improve as you go along! Mistakes are a PART of the learning process! 😃 ENJOY the journey!!!
Beautiful work on all the pieces, Gretchen. The center piece was beautiful and teddy bear shelf adorable. The cigars were definitely made for the box. ❤
Strawberry Shortcake was discovered in my old toys at my parent's house! I'd forgotten about her and there were stickers that came with her back in the day, lol! Great memories and great video as always!
Who knew “Gretchen” can be used as a verb? These minis have been delightfully “Gretchened up!” Love it! It was fun to watch you enhance each mini. NEVER has it occurred to me to paint fading flowers!! Brilliant! Thanks, my friend, as always! Kathleen ❤
What a fun video Gretchen 🤗 Love all the little projects. Your words of wisdom have helped and CONTINUE TO HELP ME more than you know! It's so charming and classy how you remember your Precious Dolls by name and which things they gave you🥹 I can't remember even if I bought something for myself 😳 I can't get over your little cigar box with the cigars 🥰 The faded flowers to spring bouquet really wowed me! I love how you use your fingers as brushes and hands for palettes in this video 😍✨
It touches me so Much to hear that you're inspired by me!!! You have a Wonderful channel!!!! I had to laugh when you said I was using my fingers and brushes and my hands as a pallette 🤭😆☺️! When I really get into it what l'm doing, I forget that the camera is filming me ! 🤭 I wish I was neat orderly! 😆😂💖💖💖
Those flowers were fantastic. Great idea. I thought of it but wasn’t sure how it would look. Girl, you just cranked up my creativity. Thank you may God bless you, doll. ❤️
You've been busy! 🙂 It's so much fun to personalize teeny-tiny things. I especially liked the transformation of the painter's kit- painting is messy, even if you're careful- at least it is for me. 😄 My Daddy doesn't make models anymore, but he always used those little jars of paint, too. I could definitely smell the Tester's paint you were using. 😊 Come to think of it, 🤔 *he* never made a mess with *his* paint- I definitely did not inherit this ability!
Strawberry Shortcake Blueberry Tart Tell Me The Initials of My Sweetheart, A B C...Do you remember jumping rope to that little diddy? When you were painting up your little tea pot, the fun memory hit me. I Love the ways you Gretchen Things Up! You and Tiny Mini Life need to get together. What a Treat that would be. Best Wishes from Yorkshire, England 🇬🇧 😊
Everything is perfect for the dollhouses. Love how you made everything your own. I have a strawberry shortcake along with her friends in my collection.🍁🍁🍁🍁
I do remember Strawberry Shortcake, I had two of the dolls as a little girl; Strawberry Shortcake herself and a yellowish one that smelled of peaches. So much fun! Love what you did with it!
Howdy Lady Gretchen, I mean come on this was terrific. So many different items and ways and means - loved it. And very well done. Thanks for sharing. P.S. I hope you and yours are well. :-)
What color is the green you used on the I LOVE Strawberry shortcake. I only had the Lemon Meringue but boy did I love that doll. The teapot looks so regal now! I used Testor’s for the first time the other day when Ella & I decided to sell painted little plant pots to raise money for charity. It STINKS but it’s nice & shiny. I love me some Rub ‘n Buff. I have every color of it. Now I just have to figure out where to use it.
Wow! l've never seen the Lemon meringue!!! Yes testers does have a strong sense. I think it's such familiar smell because it reminds me of Daddy and crafting with him. Yeah that rub and buff is WONDERFUL! But beware it's addictive you'll want to put it on everything! 🤭🤣🤭😂💖💖💖💖
Thank you that's nice to know! I've never seen authentic sandlewood ones! The only ones I've ever seen where the plastic type at the dollar store or beauty supply shops! I appreciate your feedback thank you!💖💖💖
Love all of these! What color is the green you used on the leaves? That’s pretty! As for time periods, this is my current dilemma. Is there a “standard” time period other than Victorian?
Regarding the time period question, not sure what you mean by standard. I think Victorian style is pretty common because of the history of doll houses. But a lot of the furniture out there is very American traditional even colonial. There are more companies starting to make more modern style furniture. But a lot of dollhouse furniture is in the Victorian style due to the history behind Dollhouses.💖💖💖💖💖💖💖

Love all of these! What color is the green you used on the leaves? That’s pretty!
As for time periods, this is my current dilemma. Is there a “standard” time period other than Victorian?
The green paint is sort of like a Hunter Green, it's by a company called Apple barrel.
Regarding the time period question, not sure what you mean by standard. I think Victorian style is pretty common because of the history of doll houses. But a lot of the furniture out there is very American traditional even colonial. There are more companies starting to make more modern style furniture. You are so creative!! Is there any special kind of stain you recommend? Thx for all the great tips!!

Mainly because at the home improvement store near me it comes in small cans.l recently purchased some get stain. Not sure how l feel about it l'm kinda "Old School"!🤭😃☺️💖💖💖💖💖
Stop beating yourself up about how much glue you use. You make so many wonderful things that a little extra glue does not matter.
