Awesome artist. As a graphic designer myself and fan of Genesis, I'm jealous of his time working with them ;-) Made myself lots of Genesis bootlegs originals artwork using all the graphic elements from Bill design elements. So fun to work with !!!

I really loved the album covers of Genesis, both with Peter Gabriel and especially with Phil Collins leading. They were very different and unique from the usual “rock band” covers; more open to interpretation.

Wow, thanks! I'm a huge fan of Bill's Genesis covers. In fact, I have one of his signed Abacab prints hanging on the wall, which has three of the four color variations. Btw, that second cassette you held up is the Columbia House release.

Thanks again for this very interesting video. Last year had the opportunity to buy the trio of Abacab covers Lito by Bill Smith which I found on Catawiki. Didn’t pay the highest prize luckily.
I congratulate you, it is a beautiful video, Duke and Abacab are my favorite albums and the best covers that ever existed, Bill Smith is something special for me because of the images that remain in life forever.

Yes I think that was mentioned in the interview, he did the font, illustrations, etc.

49:45 - every story of Tony Smith. He is a manager, not an artist. Whenever he was involved in the artistic side of the band, the art suffered.
Duke is a fantastic cover. Abacab I didn't care for when it came out but it's grown on me over time. Shapes is just crap, sorry.
