Dude!!! You are the f@#$!%= man!!!!! My buddy that owns this same weed wacker would take it to the small engine repair shop and they told him they'd have to keep it overnight in order to restring it and it would be 80 fu$#@%= dollars??!! Can you believe that bullshank . Anyhow I would like to thank you again for educating all of us!!!!! YOU ROCK BROTHER!!!!!!!
You just saved my marriage, and probably some money, as my hubs was about to hurl the string trimmer into the swamp behind our house. The instruction manual wasn't as clear as your video - now the trimmer is working perfectly and my hubs is a happy man. Thank you!!
You are a genius! I was about to break my weedeater to pieces. You made so much sense and were easy to follow and understand. I love Greenworks! I have the 60v backpack blower and the 60v weekender. They are workhorses and last forever! Thank you so much!❤
I've read the users guide 3 times and could not figure out how to install new line. Thank you so much for making this video!! I was about ready to order a different trimmer!
No, you haven't. The way he showed you should work, but doesn't. I couldn't get it, my buddy who owns a landscaping business was about to smash it. I asked him to show me, after 45 minutes he said " return it" . I did. Costco quit carrying it because 50% of people returned it. I also returned the Greenworks 80V mower because the battery lasted 4 mows, It came with a free extra battery, that one never charged once. So after 6 weeks I had 2 dead batteries that won't charge.
@todayilearnedsomething8105 Sorry to hear but this hasn't been my experience with Greenworks products. I've been going strong for 2 years using 4 tools including mower. I'm very satisfied with them.
Thank you- what an easy replacement! I love how light this Greenworks is next to a gas one and quiet and un smelly- it runs for about 40 minutes by then I’ve had enough fun..
For the last 18 months I've not let the lawn crew edge or use a weed eater in my back yard. ua-cam.com/users/postUgkx_rBCFuDW1zD6blTGhLkvAkxU657uR_lG I didn't like the fact that they just kept cutting the edge of the lawn further and further from the rock lining the flower beds and leaving bare ground. And the grass was trimmed or scalped several feet around trees, etc. It was a constant battle with them so I told them to just mow and no trimming. I have Zoysia grass so it grows pretty slow. Obviously after a while it could use some trimming. I'm in my 80's so I can't do much of it myself. Finally I decided that if I could find a lightweight battery powered trimmer I might be able to do some light trimming. I decided to buy the LST201 20V trimmer. And it works great for my needs. I have back yard with about 150' of flower beds and several trees to be trimmed. I can lightly trim the whole yard with a single charge! The grass I trimmed was only a few inches high but the trimmer was more powerful than I expected.
Mine starts ,but won't go in very far. My line is 0.095....maybe being thicker is jamming it up? Edit: after 40 minutes of trying to feed this line thru ..I didn't want to give up. What I noticed is mine didn't go straight thru it was slowly winding it self around the spool, but if that's the case how would the other end ever pop out? So, with the 2 tabs I took the spool off. The string was basically in knots...no wonder I couldn't get anywhere. I took the string I had on off,but there was a spot to go straight thru..:so I ran the string thru.... made sure the string was even and manually wound it with the spool and it worked! Mine just wouldn't run straight thru like yours at the beginning. Welp it's working now ...my arthritic hands are feeling it! Lol. Thanks for the video!
Thanks for the info man! I have the same trimmer, mower and blower as you and absolutely love them. Just ran out of string for the first time and had no idea how to reload it. Just one question. Is there a reason you prefer .08 string diameter over the .095 that it comes with?
Thank you for sharing the concept. You might want to work on your camera skills however as I got so dizzy I was nauseous. Unfortunately it did not thread on the other side so I had to open it. Trying to deal with that with female hams when an item is designed for male hands was a real challenge putting it lady like. I think I would’ve rather have given birth six times and gone through five divorces then to ever have to do that again. But at least I understand how it’s supposed to go and that’s half the battle. Thank you.
I just installed new string for my trimmer. It was very hard for me to let the string go through the holes. You won’t know the state of string inside.I removed the spool by pressing the 2 taps and found 2 holes on the inside green parts. It was much easier for string to go through these holes. Then put string through the holes in the video.
Hey I used mine for just 10 minutes and the line is shorter now. It’s a brand new greenwirks trimmer. I tried bumping it as I trimmed, but the line is still short. Does that mean I need to replace it with new lines?
Can someone help me I loaded it right with the string I believe I just cannot when I tap it. It doesn’t pull string out with anybody know what may be the problem.
The line in feed doesn't work. I have never had a problem with any weed eater before, not once. The Fing thing doesn't even have a corresponding hole on the opposite side. You have to hand wind it like the ones made in the 80s. In fact Costco here quit carrying it after 50% of purchases were returned.
Holy moly!!!! Thank you So Very Much!!!!! I was suffering loading that thing…was very close to throw it away.
You are my hero!!!!

I told my son - watch the video- here’s the string - and there’s $10 for you to do it! 😂
When I tell you it has been YEARS of me struggling doing this completely incorrectly....dude. THANK YOU!
You just saved my marriage, and probably some money, as my hubs was about to hurl the string trimmer into the swamp behind our house. The instruction manual wasn't as clear as your video - now the trimmer is working perfectly and my hubs is a happy man. Thank you!!
A huge help! I only wish I had watched this *before* I took the trimmer head apart. Thanks for posting this video!

Thank you, such a simple process, but if you don’t know, you don’t know. I went to this channel and found yours and voila. Thanks again.

Thanks for the clear instructions. Ill be watching your videos from now on.
Спасибо за подсказку. В инструкции непонятно как вставить леску. Пришлось разбирать катушку и мучаться вставлять эту леску. Оказывается все просто!❤
Very clearly explained. Thank you!
Thanks for your help buddy. Will need to do mine soon. These are the best type. Had an earlier model where you had to take the head off. What a pain.
Perfect thank you so much. This was a huge help. I just got mine and I didn’t know how to replace the string, your video helped me out.

I’ve been pulling the head off and fighting it! THANK YOU
Thats great but what if the line breaks off and is inside the spool thing? I need to open ut up.
Thank you for making this simple video!! Saved my damn day!
Happy to help

Thanks for this!
This was the most helpful video. I had to remove the spool cover and cannot get it to snap back in place. Any thoughts?

What do you do with this if the line just breaks and there's still line on the spool in the head and you need to get more out?
Hey I used mine for just 10 minutes and the line is shorter now. It’s a brand new greenwirks trimmer. I tried bumping it as I trimmed, but the line is still short. Does that mean I need to replace it with new lines?
Didn't work for me. The thing just turns and doesn't take in the line
Sorry to hear that. Make sure that nothing is stuck on the feeder.
Didn’t work for me either. He doesn’t show how to take the green cap off. It’s different than mine, same model.
Me neither
You have to push in slightly and wind. It kinda winds in digits...not a smooth wind.
Thank you
THANK YOU!!!!
when the line cuts, how do you pull out the line thread?
How to you take the entire head assembly off?
Thank you!!
i tried to do this but it seems like the hole is blocked.. yet nothing is blocking it🤨
Did you measure the total length of the wire? 14 feet long? Or 20?
No I did not measure the length.
Can someone help me I loaded it right with the string I believe I just cannot when I tap it. It doesn’t pull string out with anybody know what may be the problem.
Mine will not work that way
You can use .95 in this as well can’t you?

Cool, to bad mine is different
green bolt 60 bolt?

Instead of greenbolt
Thank you for watching
